So, Crimson was beat-you-over-the-head subtle in its iconography, but don't be fooled for a second into thinking that this starts and ends with the frankly brutal shot set-up. It doesn't. In any case, Clark is an insufferable show-off in most incarnations, and generally the most efficient way for him to show off is a flight. Or a jump, for the aerodynamically (or whatever) challenged of his incarnations.
And so, a pictorial comparison between perhaps the most iconic of any Superman flight (which is, the one that he took Lois on during
Superman: The Movie), and Smallville 6x13 - Crimson. I threw in a bit of
Superman Returns, just to make the reference complete.
So, nice night for a flight? Clark spooks Lois either by taking off with her, or just by picking her up and placing her on the roof's ledge. She looks down.
