Natu followed Caeb. It struck him odd that he could see fine a few moments ago, but now he was as blind as a bat. What is going on with this Hououza? he thought.

Raissen's touch was soft, caring. He smiled at Everett. Birds were so hard to approach, he felt honored this one stood still for him. At Everett's speach, Raissen was blown away. "Wow..."

As much as Hikaro loved having owl talons buried in his head, he wanted to hear what the important news was from Ryo.
"So---spill the beans already!" He said, more exited than impatient.

"Well....it's more bad than good. You see, I'm gonna be moving outta town, quite a while away from here. I might not see you guys again for a long while," he said. Everett fluttered back to Ryo's shoulder and folded his wings to his sides.

Caeb never could really see at all, in the tradional sense. His perception, when he had any at all, was more like a bat's echolocation than traditional vision. He had no knowlege of color, so the flat surface of Natu's chalkboard could not be read, it looked like he just held up a blank board.

Desperate now, Caeb held out a dark hand, fingers outstretched,
"Please, if you're still here...Could you lead me to someone who might have food?"
He stood still, tense, waiting.

"NO!" Hikaro exploded, startling Haku. "Why?" He said, demanding an answer quickly from the green haired Hououza before him. He was the only one who really knew about these danged RubbaRogos, or whatever they were, and he was going to move? No!

Raissen, having watched Everett move from his grasp, instead folded his arms and leaned over Haku's shoulder, peeking at what the younger Hououza was reading.

"Riddle's current job isn't working out for him. He's already found a new job, but it's off in a place called Riverview City. He says he'll cancel if he finds a new job here, but he hasn't found one yet. I'm going to need help finding him a job," Ryo said. "Understand what you are trying to do, I do. Fruitless, it could be. Worth a shot, it still is," Everett hooted. They were ready for anything. "Find out what Riddle is good at, you must do first. Look for new job, after you know."

Natu tried to talk, but it wasn't working. So he grabbed Caeb's arm and started leading him over to Ryo.

Hikaro calmed down but folded his arms also. "Well, I don't know hardly anything about your dad, other than the fact that he...you know...is SPECIAL." Hikaro said, referring to his glowy-hand-make-hurty-go-away trick. "But I'd love to try and help him get another job here

Caeb was expecting the touch, so he didn't flinch, but he was putting a great deal of trust in the one who's hand was interlocked in his. Energy coursed from Natu's to his, and Caeb gasped a little. Natu should, by his own right, be much larger than he was. The hououza who led him was older by a long shot. But why were they the same size?

Natu could almost sense what Caeb was thinking. But how? He didn't have any magic....did he? They were nearing Ryo and Hikaro now.

"Special huh? Yeah, that's a good word to define Riddle. Another would be 'different.' He's good at cooking, that's for sure. He's made great food ever since I evolved. And he's the one who came up with his own candy recipes. But no one's willing to try any besides us. He's also a good at making stuff. I watched him make an excellent blade. But afterwards, he made a soft plushie too. It seems to me that he'd be good in a factory or shop. A restaraunt too. But I've seen him critizing some of the video games I play. I wonder if he'd be good in that too? I'll check to see if one is in town," Ryo said.

A side effect of ESP that remains until properly controlled is the projection of thoughts, as well as the acceptance. So if Natu normally didn't have any sort of empathy, It was very plausable that Caeb's thoughts could penetrate his mind in a vague manner. Natu's life force was very strong also, temptingly so, emotions powerful.

Hikaro absorbed what Ryo said, silent, until eventually speaking, "It seems to me Riddle is most adept at different versions of crafting. Factory work is too menial to a skilled worker like him. So if there was an item crafting shop, i'm sure that would be ideal."

Haku had been focusing on the cryptic symbols in the tome when the inside of his glasses reflected the approaching Hououza. Haku looked up and squinted at them.
"Someone is coming." He said in the sweet quiet voice of his.

((I have to go back to school, but will be on later tonight probably.))

((Alright, bye!))
"Indeed. But I'd have to find one. And Arkage is quite large. Maybe we could go see Miss Maurie. She's a local bookstore owner who took care of me after I somehow escape, out of luck, from the RubbaRogos the first time," Ryo said. "Wise, she sounds. Good idea, it seems," Everett hooted. Ryo turned at Haku's prediction to see Natu pulling, no, guiding a strange Hououza along. He looked a lot different from them.

Natu brought Caeb up to Ryo and quickly scribbled This Hououza is blind. Help him find food. on his blackboard and held it up to show Ryo. Ryo nodded and got out the lunch Riddle packed him. He gave Caeb his sandwich and apple.

"Miss Maurie?" Hikaro asked, scrunching up his nose as he thought, "I don't think I ever heard of her....RubbaRogos? Are those the guys who tried to net us before?" Hika asked, turning as well to spot the two unknown Hououza, both were small, both seemed in some way challenged, one had an infinity mark on his cheek.

Food! Caeb decended on that sandwich like a panther on a rabbit. A week without food left him famished, painfully so. No more than four bites, and the sandwich was nothing more than memory. Eight, and the apple was core and seed. When both had been consumed, Caeb sat on the ground, holding the apple core, shaking. Sweet sweet food.

"Thank you, very much." Caeb said both to Natu, for leading him, and to the Hououza who had given him sustinance. Drying his hands on his pants, he reached out in the direction the food came from, but he wanted to touch the hands of the Hououza who provided it, he wasn't asking for more food.

Hikaro and Raissen were a little cautious, having never encountered a disabled Hououza before, but Haku was intrigued. From behind Caeb, he peered at him, studying the Hououza silently.

"SHe's the local bookstore owner, haven't you heard of Booktown, her bookshop?" he asked, mostly directed to Hikaro, but he also somewhat expected one from Haku. "You're welcome." He turned to Caeb, wondering why he looked so different.

Natu shook his head, thinking Caeb wanted more food. But he almost was aware that Caeb wanted it. If he had eaten the entire sandwich in 4 bites, he certainly was ravenous.

Hikaro shook his head. But Haku piped up, "I've heard of it." The geeky Hououza said. Raissen smiled, "You would."

Caeb got no response to his hands and let them drop to his lap. For all he knew, the others could be pointing and staring at him, or something else. He knew they were still there, they were speaking. His silver wings shivered slightly.

Haku from his pocket took out a small tupperware container, filled with a slightly brown paste, as well as a baggie of crackers. Sitting before Caeb, he grasped the Hououza's dark hand in his own, turning it over. Into it, he placed the two items. Haku had been saving it for himself, as it took a while to make, but knew it would be greater appreciated by this Hououza before him.

"Save it." He said quietly, "In the container is a nutritious spread made from figs and nuts, as well as anchovie paste." Haku stared up at the other four, daring them to speak. Fish had many nutrients to feed the brain, not because he was obsessed with the taste of fish.

Standing again, Haku took out a notepad and began scribbling wildly.

Ryo shook his head. He was worse than Natu at times. "Alright, have you actually met Miss Maurie, or just one of her workers?" he said. Everett pecked Ryo on the head hardly.

Haku tapped his lip with the pencil as he thought "Mmmmmmm... Just one of the workers. In all of my visits there, never have I met Miss Maurie." Haku said, pausing for a moment before continuing to write wildly on the mini notepad he had.

Caeb was beginning to feel ansty without anything to do around all of these people. Milky white eyes darted about sightlessly as he turned his head to catch the voices of the various people around him, knowing he was partially surrounded.
