now i wanna give tarot readings but it works sooo much better if you're here in person. *pout*
if i were as rich in real life as i am on gaia, i'd buy you all plane/bus/train tickets to come visit :}
well.. except for you, Dapper....... you can just drive for like 15 minutes xd

elitism is a choice, i think.
those who watch from afar and wish they were elite just don't know how, or are too afraid to make that choice deep within themselves.. to BE elite.

I've pretty much always been an elitist, I just didn't know there was a word for it. Doesn't mean I'm not friendly. . . just that well. . . yeah. . . ^^
Divination is great. 3nodding I've got some Runes too, but don't have a proper cloth to work with them, so yeah. My cards, I think I've had them for. . . wow. . at least five years I think. And yeah, I agree, it is a lot more accurate in person, but I find if you can get a person's real name and where they live, I can get pretty accurate. It's just the small matter of people trusting you with said information.

i'm planning on making a REAL set of runes some day... i just dont have the equipment needed... (this is where you cut a branch from a fruit tree when it's in full blossom, then cut small disks and sand them and carve or burn the symbols into them, then dye the symbols with your own blood or a mixture of your own blood with paint or ink -- all of this done in a sacred place [which could just be a cleared corner of a bedroom or patio] and all the while focusing all concentration and energy on the concept of each symbol)...
rune work is appealing to me partly because its roots are along the same as mine and i think the literature on runes can tell me a lot about my norse heritage.. or half of it anyway, haha
and yeah, i've done readings through msn and aim messengers and stuff.. it's just a lot more fun when you can show people the pictures and ask them what the picture says to them.. because i found that a lot of times my readings arent based on what /i've/ decided the symbols represent, it's often a message sent through the readee's thoughts or perceptions..
so before i give my interpretation of the reading itself, i like to stop and ask them what they see in each of the cards that came up in their layout (whether that be a baphomet self-worth/journey type layout or a classic past-present-future layout)...

My boyfriend has runes, no idea where he got them from though, and I don't think he knows how to use them, and they were done with paint, not blood eek

i mean only a fool would deny the dark side of tarot, but i'd rather not be limited to a deck that's focused on such twisted images...
and.. im sorry but i'm laughing pretty hard at the idea of tarot cards as a CHRISTmas gift. it makes no sense.. you should tell whoever is going to get them for you, to just give them as a gift... christianity and tarot are.. not meant to relate... and i bet jesus would cry if he saw *giggles*
