Hiei made his way down and eventually came to a large door, leading outside. As he stepped outside, he was immediately soothed by the fresh air. He took in the green smell for a moment, eyes moving slowly over what was available. In a flash, the koorime had flitted to a small tree. He was already comfortable.

"Time for a game!" Night popped out of the bushes to the left, ending up next to Kurama. A tall man was leaning on the wall near her. "This is Carlos. He's playing too!"
Night grabbed Carlos's arm and pulled him up (with a bit of difficulty). "The object, *Come on!* is to get *dangit Carlos!* back out of the forest *Get up ya lazy butt!* after finding the marker." Carlos stood up eventually, throwing Night off balance and to the ground.
"But there is a catch! You are to be tied to your teammate, by the wrist. Winner gets one wish! No wishing for more wishes, no wishes involving Kasai's personal life and or secrets/items, and no asking to be set free. Do you accept these terms? And you can't say no, 'cause you promised. So go get Hiei, and let's play!"
(*talking* = Spanish. Sorry about being gone. Still trying to get constant access. sweatdrop )

A game? He promised...? Oh, right. When Hiei was asleep. Normally he would have tried to decline, but the wish, that interested him. While they couldn't wish for freedom, they could have Shiori and Yukina returned to their older states.
Convincing Hiei to go along with it might he hard, though. The fox certainly wouldn't much mind the closeness, but as for the hi-youkai, he hated to be stuck with anyone, didn't he? But Kurama could persuade him easily enough. He usually did get his way.
"I agree to your terms, but I expect that you give me any wish, aside from those things you mentioned," he said to the girl, a slight threatening tone in his voice. If she didn't keep up with her bargain... well, his death plants would have a field day. It'd be hard enough with an arguing Koorime, but then after a highly disappointed and violent one?
He turned to the tree, taking a few steps towards it on the way, but made no move to climb it. "I assume you heard? I hate to ask you this, really, but will you... 'play' with us? I know which wish would be perfect."

The koorime opened one eye to stare down at the fox. Was he insane? Like Hiei would willingly play a game like that? He was about to say no and call Kurama a fool, but the last sentence caught his attention. If he knew his friend well enough, he had an idea of what the wish would be.
Hating himself for it, he lowered from the tree and stood in front of Kurama. He let the fox know that he owed him big time through dark eyes, peircing into bright ones.

Hiei's message was clear, but he really didn't mind owing him. What would the Koorime want that he couldn't give, honestly?
The fox held the eye contact for a while longer, in case he would continue to be expressive in that way, but averted his gaze before, without thinking, softly grabbing hold of his wrist and leading him to the female. Surely Night would have something to link them together with; she had suggested the game, after all.

Hiei was a bit confused at first when his wrist was taken. Kurama was warm, his hand soft. The youkai gave him a look, though, and allowed himself to be led to the girl. He looked at her, communicating that she had better hurry before he changes his mind.

Night smiled. Hiei could burn through rope, so she chose the perfect thing. Steel Handcuffs. If he tried to burn through those, he'd only hurt the fox, and he probably doesn't want a maimed partner.
"Alright, you may go anywhere in the forest, but you must bring back the bright red Sharpie Mini. Don't touch the Blue one, or you lose this mini game." She snapped on the handcuffs. "Red good, Blue bad. Remember that."
"Carlos and I will get the Blue one. *Come on Carlos!*" Carlos looked at her like she was insane. Then he grinned, and changed into his wolf form.
Gotta go! See ya!

The werewolf was entirely correct in its expression; the child was purely insane. For this game, they had to go into an unknown forest for possibly hours to fetch a Sharpie Mini. Ridiculous.
At least it was fair, though. Hiding the marker must've been what the psychic had been doing. Maybe this was something she had taken other parts in? But why send the two of them into the forest alone, cuffed together? Was it meant to irritate them?
"We must get moving. If we lose, this will have been entirely pointless, even more so than it must seem to you," he said, begining to walk, but forgetting about the binds until the tugged on them, slightly hurting his wrist.

Hiei was indeed irritated. And they hadn't even begun looking yet. He was brought out of his thoughts when something pinched around his wrist. Looking up, he realized Kurama had begun to walk. He walked forward, relieving the tension and looked at his partner.
"Forget already?" he said flatly, walking forward slowly, and making sure to stay close to avoid any more pinching.

The kitsune didn't answer. If he had remembered, he wouldn't have walked yet, now would he have? Hiei evidently found fun in pointing such a thing out... but Kurama knew of his enjoyment in picking him apart, so it really didn't phase him.
"I do think we should quicken our pace. Like I said, if we lose..." he trailed off, not needing to continue, then waited for the fire demon to walk so he could go with.

"Fine, come on," Hiei said, picking up the pace. He would go faster when the fox did. He wanted to get this over with as quick as possible. He had not intended on spending his outside time playing games.

Kurama gave a short nod, then quickened more to the Koorime's normal walking speed. It was as fast as was comfortable, since he didn't feel the need to run. The only way that would even work was if one of them carried the other, and that would certainly never happen.
As they walked deeper into the forest, the fox made sure to analyze every detail, hoping to see the red of the Sharpie. Many things caught his attention, like roses, small redish animals, as well as other plants. But no sign of the marker. If only he had been paying better attention to Kasai, this might've been much more simple.

As Hiei walked and scanned the area, something occured to him. He almost smacked himself over the head, but instead stopped walking. Turning to Kurama, he asked, "What the hell is a 'Sharpie Mini'?"
Instinct told him it was something ningen, and he expected it was a stupid thing as well.

"Well, it's a small marker. Like a pen, see. The cap is bright red," he said, turning to Hiei for a brief moment, and having expected the question much sooner, almost forgetting that he positively would ask. Now the questions on why they were questing for a marker would surely ensue. And, of course, he would call the child utterly stupid, something which the fox couldn't deny.

The koorime stared. Was the fox serious? Surely they weren't tied by the wrist, searching through a deep forest for a small, red pen.
"A pen. We're looking for a pen, Kurama?" Hiei twitched, closing his eyes. Of all the things they could look for, why the hell a pen? It was the most ridiculous thing he had ever heard. A pen in a forest. They might as well look for a piece of literature at the detective's house.
