I will tell you how they work in about 24 hours from now. Until then, treat them as unusable in A Wych army, that is about all I can tell you.

I am not entirely sure about how the guys at GW would read it, but as to the way it reads in my copy of the codex, I believe that if you have A Wych Lord, there should be no problem. It says that you may take them as long as you have A Dark Eldar Lord. It does not say which type of Dark Eldar Lord. So as far as I am concerned, yes you may indeed take them, Provided they accompany your Lord. biggrin 3nodding

Harelquins... So powerful... Under the new rules, is it legal to include a solitare in a DE army?

My brother has a boxed set of harlequins... I'm so putting that solitaire in my DE army. XP WS8, BS5, S4, T3, W3, I8, A4, L-, Sv-. 90 points, any equipment from the Harlequin armory... No armor saves, but whatever. 4 attacks plus bonuses for charge distance not used... Not to mention the Harlequin's kiss... Could kill a fnucken hive tyrant with no trouble.

I also have A printout of the new Harlequin codex. It has not been released yet, so this is just A beta. But yes, according to it, you can ally them with ANYONE that is fighting against chaos. And I will have to go back and check, but all eldar groups can take them I believe.

Hopefully they'll get looked over soon.

Actually, if you look at the codex, they are intended to be A close combat army. And I have calculated out A 14(I think it was 14) model army that would cost about 1000 points. It is not any more overpowered than any other army out there if you think about it. They just have better stats, and cost more to field than most other armies.

I dont mean an army by themselves, but if you include something like a solitaire in a DE or Eldar army it gives you a nice advantage.

I can think of so many ways to abuse them, it just is not funny. A Great Harlequin with A squad of Incubi. All of them in A raider. Deep Strike, and poof. No more enemy.

Better than anything I could do. Yeah, just way too many ways to abuse the Harlequins... I wonder, do they have soul stones? On the cover of my box, it shows them all with one or more shiny stones on their chest right below their neck, but I thought they didn't need them...

Anyway, the only way to enev become A Harlequin is to have your soul ripped out by the process in which they are made. There is not A single Harlequin that has A soul.

I wonder how that works. I guess the stones are just for show then... Flashy bastards.
