Ina'li's eye lids blinked open lazily to the sound of beating paws. His ears swiveled in the direction of this noise; it had startled him a bit, because he wasn't quite sure what it was coming from at first. He picked his head up, shaking his mane and snorting. The proud-looking wanidatsi got to his feet slowly; stretching a few times and then yawning. The tip of his tail flickered back and forth as he began to become fully alert. The air was fresh... but it smelt of a familiar scent. He inhaled in a deep breath and closed his eyes. Yes, it was very familiar. Ina'li reopened his watchful eyes, examining the land. He noticed something moving, and quickly recognized it to be... Ama.
The large lion blinked at the other male for a few seconds, and soon called out to him in a very stern but concerned tone. "... Ama...?" he said in his deep, kingly voice. Ina'li took a few steps forwards, waiting for him to acknowledge.

In a weakened state, Ama was bound to hear, smell, and see anything. Hallucinations and such. So when his name was called by another familiar voice, he passed it off as being merely his imagination playing tricks on him. However, he was headed in the direction of the "illusion", so it was a rather moot point to ignore it.
Ama continued to lumber towards Ina'li, keeping one eye on the male while the other eye settled on the horizon ahead of him. One foot ahead of the other, step by step, the sky clan hunter advanced. The closer he got to the other male, the more he wondered if he was going crazy. The image of Ina'li never wavered, only seemed to get closer. It wasn't until Ama Galu'nadi came within ten paces of the other lion that he paused, cocking his head to the side and squinting slightly. "Ina'li? Is that... really you?"

Ina'li watched the other lion with a strange look. What was wrong with him? He looked horrible. Ina trotted out towards Ama, stopping directly in front of him and tilting his head to one side. He stared at Ama, lowering his eyebrows and swishing his tail. "... Ama... Ama it's me," replied Ina'li, still sounding very concerned, "Are you okay? ... What-... What are you doing?"

Blinking, Ama sat down, raising a paw at Ina'li. "I'm alright..." The hunter shook himself, trying to rid himself of the shimmery world around him. "Where.... have you been? Do you know where any of the others are?" Ama feared the answer, cringed while waiting for it, but wondered what the other knew of the clan now. He could hear the concern in Ina'li's voice, but faintly wondered where it was coming from. Was he really that bad off?
For the first time in near a week, Ama looked at himself, and was shocked at what he saw. A scruffy, rather lean looking lion was what he saw. One that desperately needed food and water, but was still strong despite his current condition. Looking at the wanidatsi, Ama shook his head. "Really, I'm alright. We've all been worse, right?" He was directly referring to when they'd gone on the Long Journey.

Ina'li was still a bit groggy from waking up, he tested his jaw, moving it out and then biting down. It was so dry... he was very thirsty... Though his thirst didn't seem to compare to Ama's. The wanidatsi sat down as well, returning to his usual "serious" stare. He watched and listened to Ama, ears twitching. The others? ... Ina'li moved his strong gaze to the dirt, blinking at it and thinking to himself. He slowly shook his head. "No-... No, not currently... do you?" he asked with a heavy sigh, "I'm not that sure about anything these days..." The lion looked wearily up at the sky; lifting a paw and scratching his chest with one, sharp claw. Reminded again of the Long Journey, Ina'li turned his head back to Ama and nodded. "... Without a doubt..."

((wheee! *happy*)) With a sigh, and without bothering to hide his disappointment, Ama lowered his head as he closed his eyes. No word on the others... Not something he'd wanted to hear. The lion raised his ears, swinging them slowly, each like independant radars picking up sounds from all around them. His nose twitched as well, as something on the rising breeze caught his attention.
"What's that?" Standing up, Ama padded forward, past Ina'li a few steps. Was that... could it be? "Water?" Now, it wasn't certain whether Ama was simply wishing for it, or if there indeed was a small source of water around. "Do you smell that?" Ama turned his big head around over his shoulder to look at the older lion as if for reassurance.

"Water...?" Ina'li sniffed the air as well, letting his ears follow what seemed like the smell and sound Ama was talking about. A very faint smile arose across his maw for a brief moment just thinking about it, and then he reopened his eyes to watch the other lion step past him. Ina was still wondering how he could of passed it up, that smell, and he stood back up on his powerful feet once more. "... I do," he replied to Ama, searching for this source of water with his eyes.
