Coming out of the trees, Rivven was greeted immediatly by the sandy beach and stretching ocean, the water running backward, and in every direction, further than one could see. His sandals sunk up to the bottom of his foot into the sand, and he looked around in amazement, his eyes wide, though not terribly so as the had the tendency to be narrower just by nature. The late evening sun rays glanced off the waters surface briliantly, and spread the orange and red of the coming sunset over the beach. "It's... beautiful." He said, tearing his eyes off of it to look at her while he spoke. "Is this what the ocean is always like? Just look at the tide. It's so... soothing, I suppose. I had no idea this was just over this way, or I would've come by before now..."

She grinned widely at the look of pleasure on his face. "Spent a lot of my time on islands. Had to actually cross this to get here in the first place." she laid her head on his shoulder and just looked at it for a moment. The sun, the waves...the combination was amazing, and she couldn't think why she had never really looked at it before.

Perhaps there was no reason to be, but Rivven was surprised when she rested her head on his shoulder. He turned a bit red in the face, though whether it was visible or not through the red light of the fading sun, he couldn't guess. One part of him kept telling him he was being too self concious, but the rest said that if he wasn't careful, he might do something insulting, or quite difficult to take back. It was funny how it worked, that when you paid so much attention to how you should act, you lost sight of yourself. In terms of, what you want, and what you're really thinking or feeling. He wasn't really sure what he was thinking or feeling. And for some reason he'd had trouble understanding her since they'd met, he didn't really know why she did half the things she did. He was being even more self concious around her than most people, perhaps better so he had less chance to upset her. Not to seem unreceptive to whatever it was she was trying to do, unless this really was just done for its own sake, he gently tightened his grip on her hand and tilted his head slightly, resting his cheek lightly against the top of her head, sitting on his shoulder, and just watched the waves for while, trying to enjoy it while his mind went beserk trying to figure out what he should do next. Usually he was fine with that, but it had been going on too much, and he was starting to feel a bit of a mental tension between the conflicting parts of his outlook. "So... you came from over the sea somewhere?" He asked at last.

"A small island, yes. And then the rest of my life was moving along the three chains.... Do you mind if I sit down?" the sand must have cooled enough by then. Privatly she was worried that rested her head on him had been to forward. She wasn't sure what he would feel comfortable with. Which would influence how the date would end she thought to herself, and shook herself mentally. The gulls were settling down along with the sun.

He took his head away and looked at her, then smiled, letting go of her hand so she could move away. "Sure. Go ahead." He said, forcing himself to hide his tension and unsureness. Which he probably wasn't doing a great job of, but it couldn't be showing too terribly much. He wondered if he'd done something wrong after all, to make her want to move away, or if it was just something she wanted. He could almost hear the arguing voices in his head, and he was beginning to tire of it. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad just to forget it all and do whatever came naturally. Then again, it might make things worse.

"Then you don't know how to swim at all, I suppose." That might be best. The guy looked like he might explode right now as it was. Imagine if Morgan asked they take off their clothes! "Are you going to join me?" she asked, and looked up at him with a little smile. She couldn't be that frightning, could she? Morgan wished she'd held her temper and not jumped to conclusions before.

It was people in general that frightened Rivven a little. It was always difficult to guess at anyone else, and he wouldn't want to upset anyone, and he hadn't been around people enough to know most weren't as touchy as those he'd worked for or beside for the last nine years. Assassins and their masters generally wouldn't be the picture of a balanced person, but he was still nervous around anyone. "Uh- of course." He said and sat beside her, wondering as he did if he should be closer, or perhaps further. Deciding it best to be undesicive, he stayed where he was. "Well, I'm not all that practiced a swimmer, but pretty strong. It just takes me a minute to catch the rythem because I usually get through water differently." He said, wondering if he should demonstrate at all. Not that he could do anything worth showing, he was too tired for more than a small use of chakra. Besides, how interesting could that be to her anyway. But then, he wouldn't have expected anyone to really want to spend time with him.

"I feel so foolish. Of course you must have spent some time swimming in rivers! It might be fun for the two of us to take a swim, but only if you want to" she yawned a little bit and tucked her hair over her ears and brought one side over her shoulders. Morgan didn't turn to him. Looking out at the water with her head ontop of her legs that were pulled close, she said "I like you" simply.

Rivven almost replied, wondering why it needed saying since they were enjoying their time together, he would figure some sort of friendship a given, though he couldn't remember the last time he'd called someone a friend. There must have been a time, but not in the last nine years, which was all he could remember. Then suddenly, as he turned his head to look at her, he understood what she meant, understood the way she'd been acting since they left the clinic. The voices in his head screamed at one another, and he was utterly confused, just staring at her blankly for a moment. Then, all of the sudden, he snapped. Mentally only, but he felt completely different. He was sick of being confused, and self concious. He needed to understand himself, and maybe if meant taking a risk or two, it wasn't so bad. He felt a little more confident, and much more at ease with that, it had been so simple all along.
For the first time, he really looked at her, not just the tactical scan for height, weight, weapons, and other things like he always did when he first saw someone, or a casual glance to see what she was doing. He really just let himself look, and thought about the day they'd spent much of together. He realized how much he'd enjoyed that time, and how much that he really was here because he wanted to be. Looking at Morgan as he remember it all, he wondered why he'd not noticed how beautiful she was before. "Morgan..." he said, after what seemed an eternity, but must have been only a few moments. Rivven turned his head away toward the sea as well, smiling sincerly even while he blushed a bright red. "...I... like you as well..." he said softly.

For a moment she had been worried that this too would only serve to make him more nervous. The energy path that flowed through his body was far too strange for Morgan, so she couldn't pretend not to look at him yet cheat and see what he was really feeling. So her head whirled around quickly the moment he said her name, eager to hear his response.
He liked her too? Well, there was no mistaking the look on his face to tell if he understood the implications. His cheeks were burning ((like hers certainly had to have been)), and she brought a hand up to the side of Rivven's face to touch it.

Rivven froze, and just let himself stare, looking into Morgan's eyes. He brought one hand up and placed it ontop of the one on his cheek. Very slowly, be put his other hand on her cheek. He knew what he was about to do, and had no objections to it. He was nervous; his stomach fluttered wildly, and his heart beat rapidly, though he somehow managed to breath calmly as ever. He stared into her eyes a moment longer, trying to burn them more firmly into his memory, and then closed his own.
Slowly, he leaned in to kiss her.

Morgan didn't even think about what was happening. When she saw Rivven lean in, she closed her eyes and accepted his soft kiss. It wasn't deep, but somehow there were still traces of a passionate kiss in there. She broke away and held his gaze for a long moment. Then the red crept back on her cheeks and she looked down with a small smile on her face.

Rivven looked at her for a time, sure he was probably even redder than before the kiss. After a moment, he realized she was looking away, and did so as well, smiling a little, his mouth partway open as he tried to think of something to say. "I-I... um... I'm... sorry..." He said, he almost put a hand to his lips, where they had touched hers, but instead put it over his heart, still pounding. I've never... that was... I hope.. I didn't... bother you at all..." He said blushing and a little short of breath, he suddenly realized. "That was... my first... well... my first time..." He said, and was sure he would have blushed more if he could have.

"It was perfect" she replied softly. Morgan took his hand once again in hers, and moved closer so that she could kiss his cheek. She wanted to respond to the kiss, but she remebered how big her first real kiss had been, and thought to herself that taking it slowly might be best for the bothe of them. "Of course you didn't bother me" she kissed the side of his head.

"I-uh..." He fiddled around with his hands and smiled embarassedly, not sure what to say to the comment, and stopped thinking when she kissed his cheek. They may of just kissed, but it still surprised him quite a bit. He didn't respond, but moved closer to her as well, and turned his hand to hold hers, firmly, but gently enough that he didn't worry a bit about having hurt her.
