Lael rolls her eyes. "I'd forgotten just how much you two bicker," she says.

"I wouldn't call it bickering." Nathan says. "OK, maybe I would. But it's just so easy to get under his skin."
"That's because I'm better dealing with physical blows than mental ones."
"It seems combat's in your blood."
"Battle fields have had some of it often enough"
"Combat or your blood?" the half demon asks
"My blood." the elf replies. "You see, my only defence is the clothes on my back and my own skill. Those and sheer luck."

Margem sighs, knowing that Darian will try to make his point known through many words. She closes her eyes again and continues to rest against his side.

"No. I believe you. That's not what I meant. I meant, 'Here they go again,' but in less words," Lael says.

Kitara nods, "I understand what Lael's saying. Though I haven't met this young being here, I can see where she's coming from."
When she says 'young being here', she nods over to Nathan as she hasn't been introduced to him yet.

Darian shrugs, "True." The elf then introduces the two before sitting back down beside Margem.
"It's an honor to meet you." Nathan says, bowing a little. "Anyone who can withstand living with Darian for nearly 500 years most certainly deserves the utmost respect."

The blue-haired elvish woman smiles before saying, "He is almost like the brother I never had, as I am an only child. My Uncle Greg, his father, took me in when I was a young tot though my parents were still alive."
She checks on Trea, making sure her daughter is alright (though the girl is getting tired), then turns back to the half-demon, "Anyways, living with him isn't that bad. He's really rather nice to get to know, when he's not under a curse. Even Margem has realized that."
The redhead blushes slightly at the mention of her name, staying close to Darian as she yawns.

"Curse eh?" Nathan says, looking at Darian, definate interest in this latest development showing in his blood red eyes.
The elf sighs. "Well, the short version is this. My village got attacked and I was defending it. I got stabbed in the shoulder by a cloaked figure. Turns out the sword was cursed. He dissapears, the village is in ruins, I have to leave to find somewhere to stay. Along the way I bump into Kitara. We travel together and bump into Lael's great great grandmother. The three of us arive at another village, the one Margem and her family were living in at the time. I pass out and when I wake up I don't remember a thing before I got stabbed correctly."

"Well that's a better explination than my grandmother's. She told me a bit about the curse, but I never could figure out how it happened or how it was healed," Lael says.

"It only healed recently to tell the truth." Darian says. "The curse was broken the year before I met you, my memories slowly returned to me. I'm completely back to my old self now."

Margem glances at Darian before standing up and stretching.
"I'm sorry, but I'm awfully tired. I'm going to bed for the night now," she says to the whole group. She then turns to Darian and, kissing his cheek, says, "Good night, love."
After saying thus, she turns to the tent and goes to bed.
------- Jay and Westley had taken a while to chat, the two getting to know each other. It was rather strange for both of them as they had found out that they were similar, what with the ability to change into a different being and the ability to speak that being's toungue in their normal form. True, one was a cougar and the other a bluejay, but they found themselves becoming friends. As friends, the two talked about a handfull of things, including Jay's wife and the possibility of Westley eventually marrying. Of course, they wouldn't admit it to anyone outside their conversation...
So, after Margem had gone to bed, Kitara noticed something approaching the fire and the circle of beings that encircled the fire. A short whistle is heard, very similar to a bluejay's, and the elvish woman relaxes. She knows that her husband is safe, right there coming to the warmth of the company.
As for the two 'mutants', they do not mention what they talked about as the rest ate supper. They do not even mention a reason for why they were away during the supper meal time.
Kitara, being the understanding wife she is, knows that Jay must have broken the ice with the tawny haired man. She thus leaves the subject alone, content that her husband is safe and near to hand.
((OOC: Sorry for the long post, but I got into the details a lot when I was talking about Westley and Jay becoming friends....))
