Phreekontheloose182 i dont know if im going to play mello or join marching band...i might just play the horn in concert. what do you guys think? Play mello!!! (I love it)

i heard from people that marchaing band takes up alot of your time cause its an extracurricular activity, should i still do it?

I love my Mellophone!
I love my French Horn, but I would never bring it on the field. Our director told us he might let us play them in the music he's thinking of next year in this one part. We'd use our bad horns or the school ones, and the gaurd would bring them to us, and we'd stand still and play.
But I might not be a Mello next year!
Next year, we're going to only have TWO Baritones. They asked the older of the two that would be left which people he'd want in his section from Mello or Trombone, and he chose me as one of the 3 they might consider!
He's my boyfriend, and he knows I'm a good musician, but my name might change to "The Baritonist"! Eep!

Marching season is the best thing that has ever happened. Sure it takes up a lot of time, but you gain bacoodles of friends and memories. It is really great, and I wouldn't trade it for the world. Plus, you gain experience that you wouldn't get anywhere else. P.S. what else would you do with your time. Study? Hah.

Hello, all! I'm new to the guild, and I play French Horn, just like all of you. Go figure. 3nodding But, anyway, I just wanted to drop in and say hi, because I really don't get the opportunity to chat with other hornists often. I play mellophone for marching too, by the way. Umm...I suppose that's all for a general post...anyone ever played an Alphorn or heard jazz played on the Alphorn? So cool...

He just rambles on and on and gives us a test. I wish I could have another teacher.

me too. mine is Ms Dukes. she's fat, so if she had no legs or arms, shed just roll... xd i often call her moonface cause her head is somewhat like the moon.

My teacher is Mr. Myers. He is short and thinks he is more perverted than the other kids in the class. It is really annoying.

It is really annoying. you think he's perverted? once mr lopez (our band director) didnt come to school and i had brought the horn so i had to take it to all my classes. so when geometry came, i showed it to s dukes and told her it was a french horn, and immediately after i told her, she asked me if i was a French Horny person. stare not good

I had to bring my horn home on the bus...
Everybody was saying, "Do you play the french hor...n?"
I will be a baritonist next season...it's official! I will be a lowbrass girl in marching band!
