Standing atop a tall precipace, Nadira idly observed the barren landscape broiling under the brutal blue sky. Her horse lay off to the side, covered with foam. Her unforgiving pace had drove him to death by exhertion. She felt a twinge of guilt, her desire to get out of this wasteland had overcome her common sense, and she was know stuck way out here without a mount. She could just make out the great walls surrounding the kingdom of Pearle, great marble works of art that rose up to stretch its fingers toward the sky. The bone-dry air was so hot it seemed like she was trying to breate in the smoke from bonfire, and she half expected the very air to light afire any moment. The wash of conflicting magic that had hammered her body had altered her appearance dramatically, it was if it had pulled all the color out of her features, and the sun had burned the color out of her hair, it was almost white. The most disturbing change however was that the flecks of magic that shot like daggers into her unprotected eyes had somehow changed her eye color to resemble that of her dear sisters...Jadiera... She was ashamed to admit that not even she could summon the courage to go on farther by herself, but how could you face such great powers of evil alone, when you are no less than a stranger in your own body. She rubbed her arms, the blistering heat radiated off the surrounding landscape, and was burning through even the thick leather soles of her boots. This land would be her deathbed if she stayed here much longer, she felt as if she was being cooked from the inside. Her horses carcass was being cooked as she stood there, the warm scent of cooking meat permeating the surrounding countryside, and bringing scavangers of all kinds, sniffing around for a bite.

The supreme commander bowed and disappeared back through the door he entered leaving Marta to her own devices.
----------------------
Vermillion stood outside the formal entrance to the audience chamber, the guard that was standing their wasn't permiting him to enter just yet. He bid his time till word reached marta's ears for permission to enter. Now wasn't the time to go trampling on toes again to make your point.
(I have returned, MUHAHAHAHAHAHA, and with horrid ideas spelled out for the conference at the ruins. Also, faith, good work, just beause you need a little reconigion now and again for effort.)

Marta received word that the delegate Vermillion was waiting out side the audience chamber. hearing this she sat up straiter and declared they could let him in she sat there in the throne looking as regal as the last queen had in it except if you looked deeply into her honey brown eyes your would see how uncomfortable and out of place she felt.

Her limbs were heavy with the weight of exhaustion, each step was a test of her strength, and stamina. She had managed thus far, but slowly she could feel her dehydrated body reaching its limits, and slowly failing her. She had long since dropped all of her packs except for food, a small amount of water, and a blanket to lay on at night. Pearle seemed so close. but she knew that it was ony an illusion born of severe heat stroke. She wore a dark cloak woven of a light material tht was helping to sheild her from the worst of the glare, but it was still like walking through an oven. Off to the west it seemed she could make out a faint trail of dust rising up into the still air, it was rapidly heading her way, and had she not been convinced it were a mirage she might have cried with relief at the prospect of her imminent rescue. But, stii it was an illusion, and tears would only make her lose water, with none to replace it. The rubble at her feet shook a little, and she could hear the snort of horses. "Good God, not only am I dying but I've lost my mind as well." she muttered darkly, as she traipsed along the barely audible trail through this wasteland. "Need a lift miss?" A gruff voice inquired off the her left. She turned her head a little, a shaggy man sat in the front of a large wooden carriage, merchant by the look of him. "I'm not in the mood for tricks, be on your way, I know your but a mirage." The big man stared at her in astonishment, and wiped the sweat from his brow with a big hand. " If it please ye miss, I'm no mirage, just Edwin ma'am." She glanced up at him again, and she could see the startled expression settle over his features as he took in her odd looks. "No mirage?" "aye." She gladly clambored up onto the bench beside him, and togethor they rode off towards Pearle.

Vermillion entered the audience chamber rather swiftly and came up to the foot of the steps leading up to the throne. Going down on one knee he looked at the floor speaking; "I have come speaking unification with your neighbors to destory a common enemy. Loas has been reawakened from the depth of hell to once again attempt rule of this world. Hear my words magiesty, hear them well with many more to follow, because if we do not act soon. There will be nothing left to bicker over."

Warm relief swept over her as she began to recognize familiar landmarks, Pearle was little over two miles away, the ivorn walls rose up before her like an impenetrable mountain. Without having to worry about whether or not she would survive another hour, she was left with nothing but hollow exhaustion. She collapsed back onto the furs in the back of the wagon a weary sigh escaping her parted lips. She was parched, but right then sleep seemed like the most important thing.... Edwin glanced worridly over his shoulder, that crazy wman had collapsed in his wagonbed.... Well no matter, he smiled in a fatherly way, and used his free hand to place a damp cloth on her forehead, she was burning up with a fever, and she barely managed to stay awake for more than an hour or so. The healers would know what to do, he was a bit inexperienced with this sort of thing... Not to mention the insecurity he felt when she fixed him with that green eyed glare of hers that locked him in place, despite the fact that they were glazed over with fever, and fatigue. Finally they reached the soaring gated of Pearle, and rumbled across the drawbridge, and through the lines of guards protecting their homeland. The castle was in the middle of this immense capital, and he still had wares to sell. Finally edwin resolved to drop her off at the healers, with enough marks to cover the care, a room, and a few meals, before heading off to work in the marketplace. Whistling cheerily all the way he stopped at the inn, and carryed her frail body inside requesting a healer, and a meal brought up within the hour. He left her in the room, and went on his way.

"you may rise and i am listening delegate Vermillion please speak freely of what i need to hear....and Just so you know i am having the Supreme commander Finish preparations for that meeting you spoke of earlier" she responded after his little entrance speech even tho he though he knew she would listen even if he rambled about nothing the power had yet to go to her head. sitting there in the throne feeling a bit out of place Marta waited for him to speak her guards had relaxed a little more in the presence of the delegate knowing that he wasn't here to start a war.

Nadira sat up with a yawn, sleep blurring ner vision, as she kicked the covers off. o her surprise she felt neither hot, nor in pain for once in a very long time. Her bedcovers were cool against her sticky flesh, she was very disturbed to discover that her pale skin nearly matched the hue of the cotton bedsheets. Her long silver locks were grimy with sweat, and dust, and snarled from tossing about during her sleep no doubt. The fever tht had plagued her for days had broke, and she felt blessedly cool. Nadira peered out the window to veiw the bustling streets of Pearle once again, the magnificent castle for which Pearle had been named drew her gaze. It was starck against a black, billowing sky. She vaguely wondered if the others were still here, if not she would need to draw a transport circle, which would be exceedingly dangerous considering the breach between worlds. Lightning ripped open the sky, and thunder shook the floor with sucj fury that the bookshelf toppled to the ground, spilling its contents. Vaguely, she scanned the room and saw a bath had been set up at the foot of her bed. No steam rose up from the water, so she braced herself for a frigid wash. It was bliss to scrub the grime off her body, and hair. She had been surprised to find herself starck naked when she awoke, but her freshly washed clothes were draped over the bedpost, along with a pair of sandals, and a comb. Nadira preyed vigerously to the gods that it had been a maid that had undressed her, and not the strange merchant man, Edwin. Her armies were no doubt awaiting her arrival in Houka, she would need to leave sooner rather than later. The bags she had lost in the desert held Houkan style clothing, but the ones she had worn were Esperanzan travel clother, unfit for a meeting with the empress. To say the least, Nadira freaked out. She recovered when someone knocked loudly on the heavy oak door, and a muffled voice asked if she was alright. "Fine, I'm fine." She swiftly finger combed her hair, and with desperation threw open the closet doors. All of her bags lay on the ground, along with a note from Edwin. Setting aside the note for later she tore into her knapsack with renewed determination.

vermillion stood up fully; "your mageisty I have come here to renew our haste tot he ruins, we must leave as soon as possible, a land route may no longer be safe for travel. demons backed with the strength of Loas may not hesitate to strike a larger colum protecting a magistrate of pearle. The skies although black and riddled with lighting may be our safer route. I am willing to call upon my brethern to bear us to the ruins by air, we can carry 5 apiece safely, and you may take as many guards and scholars as you may need."

"thankfully lord Vermillion i am not as accustomed to being queen as the last one was so i will be ready within the hour .....i suppose the supreme commander will want to come too and the four guards i have here now will suffice for me to take .... i will have to think out about the scholars i dont know any of the ones in the castle..." she stood up slowly, "if you would like to find a scholar to take be my guest i will be in my rooms getting dressed ...need to wear more travel worthy clothing" she dismissed him with a kind word.
walking to her rooms again she thought to her self about how many times the queen walked to her rooms in a day, silly things like that always crossed her mind she called a few maids in and asked one of them to go find her 'demon sword' she wouldnt be caught dead without it. she was dressed in a silk undergarment and then a black leather jerkin and black leather pants with high boots she didnt much like the heels on the boots and it wasent all that comfortable for her to walk in them but she would have to deal with it. finishing up dressing the maid she had sent out came back with six men carrying her sword because to them the sword was at least 100lbs she lifted it from their grasp with ease it made them all look at her with wonder as she hooked the sheath around her chest and it formed into her armor.
((wow i didnt think it woul be that long ...i hope its ok it feels kinda off but i dont know how to make it better))

Vermillion left the audience chamber heading for the streets, its about time he had a talk with his counterpart, and now that she was back in town it would be much easier for him to talk to her. He would want to know what happened from them time she was lost beyond sight of skywatches in the temple of Loas, to the time she appeared in the desert running full tilt on a horse.

she was soon finished dressing she had her hair out with two braids pinned in the back and a small golden circlet pinned into her hair she made her way to the court yard with her guards in tow as she wondered if Vermillion had his affairs in order as she stood there waiting an attendant came out and offered her a glass of water she politely refused saying that she was not yet parched by the sun even if her clothes did look hot she looked like a black gem standing there with the silver attired guards in a circle around her

When she finished dressing, Nadira wore two of the floor length wrap dresses, known as kimonos, the outer one a cinnamonbrown, over a pale blue one, with a rust colored obi. Her long ivory hair had been tamed with a comb, and pulled back into a long, low ponytail with two locks perfectly framing her face. Instead of the soft slippers that most Houkans chose to wear, she had put on boots for easy travel, not to mention the studded leather gauntlets at her wrists, and the longsword at her belt. TBC im out of it...
