((XD;; Geeeh... Hee hee))

Walking up to the dragon fighter she gave a light nod. "Please excuse me." She said with a light smile as she raised her hands up to his chest, her pale skin beginning to glow as her eyes fell half-shut while she concentrated.

((And now we need Kamikits. XD;; ))

((^^;; My bad, guys. >.>;;; ))

Asuncion watched, wishing he felt dazed instead of near-panicking. He wouldn't do anything stupid here, of course; there were too many others to see him. But internally he was in a state of manic tears.

Beating back the thoughts bordering on hysteria of what just might happen next, he took a deep breath.

The light grew stronger, enveloping more of his body, but he was unable to tell what it was doing or what the faerie was learning from it. Then she stepped back and it began to quickly fade away.

Relax. There'd be plenty of time for panic later, when he was under careful scrutiny in the infirmary.

Caracas did feel limp. The plesant dream-glow of the alcohal had faded into a nightmarish twisting in the pit of his body. The fears he had felt upon seeing the carcas, the fears which had temporarily vanished, were back full force.

"God," he muttered, leaning against a wall.

((XDD That's alright. We have been waiting for you, Ms. A. XD;;;; ... Caracas... carcas... XDDD There's just an "a" lacking.))

Finally finished, Tintlet took a step away from the fighter, eyes closed as the light diminished. Opening her eyes and looked up at the dragon the faerie princess smiled at him. "You're clear, it's all right." She said before moving onto the next dragon in line and raising her hands again. For the one who was standing last in the short line, Caracas, it would be a killing wait.

Vierres watched as the Spirit Tribe royalty finished the first of his fighters during the mission. One safe wasn't enough to declare the whole group, however small it now was, on the safe side. A small shudder went up his spine, which he made sure no one saw. This was chilling. He had put himself last of them all to be checked, he didn't know why but he just wanted to know that the others were checked first.

((XDD I noticed that, too. ...I'm leaving a message on someone's answering machine and it's got the weirdest away message. Well, almost. I can think of one better, but that one was just the guy going, "Arrrblarrgglarrr. Travis. Blaarrgahrll. LeaveAMessage. Blaaaaarghhhhh." >.>; ))

Caracas nodded, unable to keep a slight smile from spreading over his face in relief. It was good to know. And unexpected. He had actually thought he'd be kept under supervision and seclusion at the very least. That princess' rating was going way up in his book.

He stepped to the side, uncertain now if he was to stay and wait for the others or if it would be more prudent to leave them to their privacy. Then again, whatever the results were the entire guild, the entire castle, would know in an hour's time.

He shrugged, settling into the sidelines for the wait.

Pulse beginning to pick up slightly, Caracas tried vainly to push it back down. The repressed memories of the fever, the pain, the... melting were now swirling behind his glazed eyes.

They seemed more vivid than before, although that was probably no thanks to his guilt and drinks. He shouldn't have started the rumor off, although if he hadn't someone else would have been sure to.

Slamming his hands into his pockets and scowling slightly at the smooth floor, Caracas concentrated on the cool wall against his neck. If Asuncion had been fine, he would be too. It would be over soon and as back to normal as life had ever been since Nadil's attack.

((o.o Odd message. XD; ))

Vierres watched the first, cleared, fighter step to the side, but not leave the room. Good, it would be better that way. Keep everyone gathered if anything would come up so that he wouldn't have to run around and look for them later to tell them.

As another fighter was cleared, and yet another the number between Caracas and Tintlet lessened until she stepped up in front of him, everyone else in the team had been declared safe and healthy. The Faerie princess raised her hands and they began to glow. Would all the fighters be ok or would there be one who wasn't? The tension in the room had rose little by little as one after another of the small group was cleared.

The woman nodded once as the glow began to fade and she looked the other blond in the eye. Was this bad? What had she discovered? It couldn't be...
"You're safe." She said with a smile then suddenly let out a small giggle. "But... would you like for me to take the heaviness, which the drinks caused, off your mind? Or would you rather have it there?" What a bombshell...

The Fighter flushed, glancing down at the floor to avoid her gaze.

"N-no," he finally muttered, highly embarrassed. "I'll be fine. I'll just go back to the dorms," he added, half to himself.

He could go back to the dorms, Caracas realized with a slight jolt. What a relief.

Tintlet giggled softly and gave the fighter a nod, smiling still. Turning, the Spirit Tribe princess looked at Vierres who stared calmly back at her. With her hands hanging down in front of her, one over the other, she stepped up to him where he stood, leaning against the wall. "Officer." She said, his reply to her unspoken question being a short nod as he stood straight.

Raising her hands, like all the other times, she placed them in front of his clothed chest with some inches space. Closing her eyes, the glow slowly appeared. The moments that ticked by seemed intense, was it in the air or was it just an imagined feeling?

Then, finally, Tintlet lowered her hands and took a step back. "You're safe." She said with a nod.

Vierres swallowed lightly, the tension had gotten the better of him... but only a little! He gave the faerie a nod before turning towards the group of fighters. "Alright, you're dismissed. Since nothing and no one has been reported infected you should kill any rumors rising if anyone gets conveniently sick close to today, because it won't be that dangerous thing."

Gil stepped aside to let the fighters walk out of the infirmary as they were dismissed. If he got any strange looks, he ignored them, but that was mostly because he knew anyone would look at him strangely... he'd already got several strange looks as he walked through the castle to get to the infirmary.

"Hello, Tintlet, Rune, Vierres." Gil said quietly as he wandered inside, white outfit liberally spattered and almost soaked in places by blood; in his hair, and on his face in dried streaks. He'd need to take a bath later, obviously. He wasn't here just to add to the general atmosphere of the infirmary though, but for another reason.
"Something happened?" Gil tilted his head curiously as he stretched out one arm to Tintlet while speaking to Vierres. He was only here because Ringleys hadn't been with him to heal the superficial damage, and the fighters in the patrol he'd helped there in the end had insisted he go and get the cut healed. It was nothing. Just another line of red that would fade to bumpy white with time.

((Oh, since if you had had a post we could always go back and delete sis post (well, copy it first >>; ) and then post it after you make them leave. But on the "dying" note. ^^ Don't be afraid, I have been having working hard so I haven't been on everyday as I usually am. But I got a few things in mind before I run out of ideas so no worries. This won't die. Over my dead body? XD;;; Hee hee. Oh! Have you seen the cute Kitchel fanart sketch that Tinkis did in the fanart thread? =D

But there could be one left, in the doorway if you really want to post. Vierres's still avalible *damns the spelling on that one* for chatting if you want. I won't post until you reply to this so... ^^))

Thatz crossed his arms behind his head, leaning against the thick stone wall along the battlement. There was a light breeze up here; it was a welcome contrast to the warm temperature that had been sticking to the castle since mid-spring.

After leaving the infirmatory, he had wandered through the spacious halls and eventually found his way up to the tall wall encircling the castle. There was a wide view from there: if it wasn't for the destroyed city and town ringing the horizon, it would be picturesque. It once was.

"Earth."

The little dragon appeared as Thatz extended his right hand before him, the whirl of white interdimensional fog heralding his materialization.

"I'm tired of sticking around here," he admitted, turning to look at the elemental dragon as it settled itself on his shoulder. He dropped both his arms, holding them over his chest. "The battles are moving farther away. They're getting smaller. Bierrez is the one getting sent out now."

Not that he was jealous. Neither he nor Earth felt any need to clarify that. Bierrez could get himself caught in as many battles as he wanted.

However, this meant that Thatz was the one being kept behind, trolling the old battlegrounds for anything salvagable while waiting, never at ease, in case of a sneak attack on the Dragon Castle. He wasn't in charge of any troops, he wasn't working to heal the wounded, he wasn't even allowed to hear any of the truly important details about the war or the Lord himself.

Thatz scuffed a worn boot against the set stones beneath him, then glanced at Earth once more.

"There must be something more productive I can do." He smiled wanly at past memories, green eyes trailing out over the landscape once more. This time he looked not at the burned houses, but at the mountains beyond.
