Hi everybody
I think I am the oldest band nerd here....lol
I have been pplaying clarinet for 14 years since 5th grade
I have done marching in High school, concert band all the time and jazz when I could
But now I cant play in the band cause of class conflicts crying
I like that this is a place for nerds to unite blaugh

Okay first of all, I am BandGeekGirl. I play bass clarinet, alto clarinet, Bb clarinet, bassoon, flute, piccolo, alto, tenor, and bari saxes, and am looking to pick up trombone. I am renting to own a bass clarinet and his name is Solly. I have a crush on an alto sax player and i love his instrument about as much as I love him (I'm crazy for both of them).
I marched bass clarinet this past season at Henry County High School (McDonough, GA) and may be section leader for low reeds next year...
I played clarinet for 3 years and am in my 2nd year as a bass clarinet (5th year as a clarinetist woot) I recently made it past the county level interviews for GHP and if I make it past states in Feb., I get to go to the Governor's school for 6 weeks in the summer WOOT WOOT!
I LOVE MY BASS CLARINET MORE THAN I LOVE MY SOUL!!

Clarinets pwn. heart
Whenever we had sectionals in band camp, everyone would come visit us. We never left our room in sectionals, and we always saw one person from each section every day. (Except for percussion =x )
Clarinets are by far the craziest section on my band... >=)

Woot! Hiya! I'm Irish and a clarinetest. All hail clarinets! Heh. I'm a sophomore, trying out for section leader for next year, and have been playing since 6th grade. And guess what? WE WON STATE!!! YAAAAY! We were sooo happy! Yayness.... xd redface

Might as well stop cheering for ourselves and whoop with the other team when they make a touchdown half way through the game. They suck so bad. About four or five of the saxes started playing a funeral march in the first half. It was so sad. sweatdrop And when we would make a good play, they would scream, "HOLY s**t!" like they couldn't believe we could actually physically score. (And I can see their point of view.) And it would be really loud. sweatdrop Geez, they need to control themselves... sweatdrop Thanks! biggrin lol xd I feel sorry for your football team... however, we won our game yesterday, so we get to go to the playoffs! Yay!!!! Marching Band isn't over yet!! blaugh Congratulations for you football team! At least some don't suck... xp

our clarinet section... I don't know much about them because I am grouped with the low brasses and low reeds... that's why my mind is in the gutter permanently during MB season... my BD yells at them a lot... our tubist likes to booty dance with a water bottle hooked to the back of his pants for "rhythmic purposes".... woot woot... that's my "section" in a nutshell

Heya!
I'm D_T of course I play Clarinet and love it! ^_^
I've been playing since 4th grade, and I'm now a junior and a proud member of the Central High School Bobcat Regiment! ^_^
Our section is the most calm , well compaired to the to the Saxes and one Trombone.. (Our band had kinda shrunk over the years).. I myslef don't stick in the clarient secton I wander about before practices, I mostly hang with the saxes, since I also play Alto Sax.. ^^ I hang with the drumline a lot too... (I also play Bass Drum) ^_^
I'M JUST CRAZY! ....
I'm also going out with Father God, leader of the band mafia... 3nodding
But you aren't suppossed to know about the Mafia... oh well.. ^_^
