*bump*
I have so much free time, I don't know what to do with it all x___x
I don't particularly feel like drawing... (unless someone shows me a really kick a** avatar or OC that I just -have- to draw) I think I might pop over to my mother-in-law's and see if she wants to show me the basics of sewing....

Heh ^^ *can't see that pic* But that's cool
That occupation is now a little old... I kinda lost that job >_> I used to work at a Country Club. I did all the salads and dressings and cold foods in general as well as desserts ^^ A lot of the cakes and cheesecakes we got in pre-made, but I did do specialty desserts like custards and lava cakes (the Chef actually put lava cake on the permanant menu since it's so popular ^^)
But yeah.... I was let go cause the off season was coming, the budget for labor got cut, and pretty much everyone who wasn't salary was cut x___x Everyone except the day guy, but his hours were cut in half... at least >_> I now work at a pizza place doing salads and pastas ^^; It was my first job and I like it a lot. It's really close to my place... I still like doing pastries though ^^ And plan to do some for the family gatherings this holiday season ^^ I also want to practice more cake decorating so maybe I can get a job doing that someday... or something ^^;

Do you have any training, or did you just kind of hop into the scene of cooking as a job?
And we had some spare time, since we had 5 hours to bake sour dough bread, and prepare our danish dough.

My first job was working in a small pizza place making salads and pastas, and I worked there for about 4 years when I finally decided that I really liked it and went to school for culinary arts. I now have an associates degree ^^ I... don't really think it was worth it. Not for me anyways. If my ambitions were different, it would have been. Namely, if I were interested in starting up a business or running a kitchen, it would have been worth it. You can learn the same stuff from experience, but most of the people I know with that knowledge from experience have been working in high end restaurants for 5+ years.
