I made up a song about the low brass section, and it goes a little something like this *strums guitar*:
The low brass section Is so GRAND! Trombones and Tubas In the BAND! Who you are and what's your name don't matter even slightly, 'Cause in the low brass most things are taken lightly. *strums guitar maniacally and finishes dramatically* Okay, so there's my song. It's simple, I know.

Dude! We say tubamaphones too! eek I must have ESPN. stare Sorry, stupid joke. We have tubamaphones, saxamaphones, boners, frumpets (mellophones), and lumpets (my name for the trumpets that are beat to nothing, basically).

Saito_Style How do I get better on the tromebone?any specific scales I should work on? Try higher scales then go on to some real low ones and try some music that looks difficult

I only play the baritone horn. My brand new baritone has four valves but we can only use the first three. My baritone and my friend's baritone looks like this here's my friend's trombone. My friend's baritone looks like this. It was made in 1925. sweatdrop

The date of an instrument.
Where can I find the year that the baritone was made on the horn? I'm talking about one with a bell that faces ^ that way and is made by Yamaha.

Argh! My mouthpiece was stollen from my tuba's cubby hole Monday! I'm so angry! My BD checked all of the other tuba player's mouthpieces and none of them are like mine. Mine was the only newer Helleburg. Now I have to order a new one. That's about $50 less to go towards band camp.
First: Why would someone steal a used mouthpiece? Honestly!
Secondly: Why mine? Why the girl's? Hm? Biased!
But, at least I get a new shiny one. Yay shiny!

Saito_Style How do I get better on the tromebone?any specific scales I should work on? I have a tutor, and she reccomended 32 Etudes for Trombone and Melodious Etudes for Trombone, and I've gotten a lot better since I started practicing out of those books, and I'm only on the fourth and fifth songs in those books! I'd recommend those, but be warned, they're a pain in the a**, even though they'll help you get better. You can get them on stantons.com. That's where I got mine, but you may be able to find them for cheaper elsewhere.
