I have a question: Could a spell like Mage Hand be used to pick a lock?
Also: My character is now a Tethyrian from the Calmishan region because of the really nifty PDF file. Woot!

Hiei_no_miko I have a question: Could a spell like Mage Hand be used to pick a lock? Also: My character is now a Tethyrian from the Calmishan region because of the really nifty PDF file. Woot! Mage hand carries and pushes stuff. I suppose it might be able to pick a lock if youve the open lock skill to do it, theoretically, but A) Thats up to the DM B) youd probably have a penaly, Mage hand isnt all THAT accurate C) Up to the DM again

Hunter Rose (the grendel) well atleast I am useful for picking locks Yep, soon they will understand why you have no ranks in perform. The bard is also the group's only rogue.

I need to get my wisdom and some other skills up as well; maybe i could duel class a little later as a bard/rogue.

EDIT: Dual Well, I am a fan a dual-classing, but what would you get as a Bard/Rogue? You would get a bunch of extra skill points, improving your rogue skills, and sneak attack... You would lose a point off your Base Attack, and lose a level of Bard spells... Of course, it's up to you. I'm not going to start telling people how to play their characters or what classes to take.

Hunter Rose (the grendel) well can't a bard pick up sneak attack as a feat? No, it's a rogue class skill. I didn't go scouring every book, but I haven't seen any equivalent feats. Unless someone can tell me what book has a feat of this kind in it... I hope Annie reads up to see my response to her that got buried. mrgreen

Sneak Attack is only a class feat. The only way to get Sneak Attack, or any ability like Sneak Attack is to take a level in Rogue, or one of the many prestige classes that have an equivalent ability.
