Gallen smiled and started to read his book,
"Arrakis teaches the attitude of teh Knife- choping off what's incomplete and saying; "Now, it's complete because it's ended here" -From "Collelected Sayings of Muad'Dib" By the Princess Irulan
A man in Harkonnen uniform skidded to a stop at......."before long Gallen had also dozzed off.

Gallen was up at about 8:00am fixing coffee in eth office. It was not the best but it would have to do till the cafe in the lower area was open. He watched the three sleeping guest as he quietly pulled out some creamer and sugar.

Dreams... A dark alley, a gun. Heavy breathing. A dog howls in the distance. Things shift in the night. But one thing is clear. There was a man, tall and young. Dead. On the gravel, bleeding with a wound through the heart. Suddenly, she was beside him, kneeling. She stared into his face, tears streaming. Jared... a whispered voice murmurs. It was a dream, just a horrible dream. But the thought of death of this particular person distressed Jessica powerfully.
"No... no!" she whispered, tossing and distressed.

"Jess, wake up love. Your having a nightmare."

"There, there it is all right. You have been through hell. I know those dreams." Gallen held her close comforting her. "It is ok your safe, your safe"
He remembered when he first lost his parents and his nigtmares, and how they returned when he lost his sister. Except he had Drake to claw him awake.

Jessica buried herself in his warmth, really not caring who he was or what he looked like. She would get to that later. Right not all she knew that it felt good to be in the comforting arms of someone again, keeping her safe from unseen dangers. It was what her mind craved; the closeness of another person.
"Thank you..." she murmured once she felt she had the power to speak.

"It is ok." He stroked the back of her head as he held her. Gallen looked to see if the other two had woken up yet. He felt bad for Jess and what ever caused her nightmare. He looked to Dai and Howie hoping they wake up soon, not sure if he had to do anything else to help Jess.

As far a Jess was concerned, he was doing the only and best thing he could to help her. She had needed a hug for quite some time now, the dream only made it worse.
Slowly but surely, her sobs were reduced to occasional shivers and she stated to recollect herself and think of her dignity, which was most likely butchered by now. Hesitantly, she pulled away for his comforting grip and looked at him with a slightly happier look than ever before. She smiled gently at him, then followed his gaze to the other people, who seemed to be still asleep.

Howie woke slowly, and immediately wished he was still asleep. He felt as though someone had finally managed to drive a railroad spike through his head, and the rest of him wasn't much better off. He was too hot, flushed and sweaty, and his body ached from the beating and what must be a low-grade fever.
An eye cracked open heavily. "Whaddaya staring at?" He mumbled, not quite remembering where he was and who these people were. His mouth was completely dry, and his stomach reminded him of it's last real meal - now a distant memory.
Oh, was that coffee he smelled, or just a piece of heaven?

She had only known Howie for a little under a day. And she was surprised that she expected him to say that. But she didn't blame him. A concussion was a nasty thing, she knew all too well. Chuckling, she shook her head and wiped all remaining tears from here eyes. She had been cry way more than usual lately, and just realized that.
"You, silly. Watching you sleep is very amusing, I must say. And your snoring!? Tsk Tsk!" she told him in obvious jest; she would never really be that mean to anyone.

"Srnnnrrrk - Duah?" Dai woke up and immediately realized she wasn't in bed, but rather in her chair. Out of habit she groped for her glasses, only to realize that they were on her face. The bright light hurt from the open shades, the sunlight creating lines on the darkly carpeted floor. "Unngh. Th' liiiiiight..." It burned her eyes, and when she turned away, little spots danced as she blinked.
"... We have coffee and in an hour the cafe opens and I can get you some food."
Dai woke up at the word coffee,. "Coffee? Where? Ooo, gimme!" She took the mug out of Gallen's hand and slurped it down, not caring if the hot liquid burned her lips and tongue. When she stared at the white end of th mug, she lowered it down and blushed lightly. It took a lot of time for people to get used to her eccentric ways - She wouldn't blame them if they thought her rude. "Oh. Um... Thanks. I'm a real brat in the morning if I don't get my coffee; I'm sorry." She set down the mug on a nearby table and looked through her meager supplies. She had food, and would might be her wordless apology. Besides, she felt guilty anyway about Gallen's kindness. Dai didn't even have a penny to give him, and here he was, serving her coffee! " I have... Five granola bars, half a bag of beef jerky... And..." More rummaging, the rustle of plastic wrap and the clinking of metal against hard plastic. "A corned beef sandwitch from lunch... The lettuce's dried up and now the bread's all soggy... Uck. Anyway, we should be able to hold out an hour until we can get better grub." She fished out the bars and bags, dropping them on the glass coffee table near the couch. She also brought out another Vicodin, although she broke it in half this time. She also took out a bottle Children's Tylenol, which she opened the cap with skill. Running a finger across the dosage table, she muttered, "Howie, you eat the Vicodin. I'm going to pour some Tylenol for your fever - And I know because your face is all red, don't try to hide it."

Gallen stood with a blank look of surprise when teh mug was snatched, and then started to laugh. How she acted reminded him of his older sister. He watched as she tossed the food out on the table.
"Well I do not eat meat, and ummm. you really do not have to pay me. Meet you guys is payment enough. But thank your for the offer."
He went to the pot again and poured two more cups or coffee, on is a mug he used which side on eth side "Disgruntled Minion" and another cup that was your generic "I "heart" NY". He handed the second cup to Howie and his personal cup to Jess.
"here ye go."
