Revyn peeked out from between the king's legs. His colors harmonized between the two males, for what reasons unknown. He gazed at the three femmes. "Hi!" He chirped. "I'm Revyn!"
Aygra looked between the three new lionesses then glanced over his shoulder. "Nice to meet you..."

Jax peered up at Areli curiously. He was the first lion he had met since entering Scarlet Shadows who had not decided to yell at him first thing. He giggled softly, padding up to her, and plonked his rear down in front of her, grinning up at the lioness innocently.
Brooke grinned at Areli and nodded in greeting. She padded over to Amaree.
'You know, I don't believe he was very well brought up. He's strong - he's been on his own. And see how his speech is so... so imperfect? I mean, by the time I was his age, I could speak fluently. I think he was so detached from his parents that he never learned to talk properly. I wonder why that is, though...'

Amaree looked down at Brooke and smiled. "Some cubs just aren't as lucky as we are... I'm sure he'll learn in time. We just have to be gentle but strong with him until he learns our ways." She nudged Brooke and smiled. "I wouldn't worry about it too much. I'm sure he'll get use to it after awhile." Amaree eyed the two new cubs. She padded up to Revyn and licked his forehead. "Hey... I'm Amaree. Aren't you a strapping young lad? You..." She said nudging him. "Will be my charge... if it's okay with your... um... 'Mama'" Amaree said, smirking at Jayvn.
She reguarded the other cub and nudged him. "It's nice to have so many cubs around. I hope you two will find that you're comfortable here..." Amaree went over to Areli and nudged her. "Get some rest?" She asked then returned to her spot with all the cubs. "My you two are so dirty... when was the last time you had a proper bath?" Amaree flopped down and pulled Revyn over to her, licking over his fur with her rough tongue to clean any dirt or brambles from his fur. "No worry, we'll have you cleaned up in no time..."

Brooke nodded gently.
'Poor little mite.' She said, watching Jax. She resolved to find out what had happened with his family.
The word 'bath' had quite a big impact on Jax. His eyes flew open in horror and in a mad scramble for shelter, he flung himself behind Areli.
'Heeey, I think he likes you!' Brooke said to Areli, stating the obvious. From the way Jax clung on to Areli's paws, it seemed as if Amaree had just issued a death sentence to every cub present.

Amaree chuckled as Jax fled to Areli. "Looks like you've got a cling-on there, dear." Amaree continued to bathe Revyn and purr. "Jax... it's okay, we're not going to hurt you dear..." Amaree smiled and continued cleaning the cub. "We just need to make sure you aren't carrying any foreign materials or anything that could make the rest of the pride sick..." She was enjoying pampering the little cub, and enjoying acting in a motherly way. She looked up at Rellick and smiled.

Areli smiled softly, letting her tail lightly wrap around Jax. "Don't worry, I don't think you need to be bathed just yet." she said, and turned, letting him let go of her leg, and lightly petting his back with her paw, making sure that her claws where not out. "And I'll take care of you, no worries." she said with a nice grin, but more as a smile, as she bent down and nosed the cub softly.

Brooke chuckled as she thought it over.
'You know,' She said to Areli thoughtfully. 'I think you must be the first lion he's met here that hasn't yelled at him the moment you saw him!' She was rewarded by the gleeful giggle that came from Jax, delighted at having been understood.

Areli smiled softly. "Why was he yelled at?" she asked, glancing down at the little cub near her, before looking back to Brooke.

'Oh, it was nothing really. We were getting the food when I heard him hiding in the bushes. I scared him when I pulled him out, and he scratched me. And Rellick, we all know what he's like...' Brooke explained.

A squeak escaped Rev's mouth when he was pulled over to the spotted lioness. Her tongue elicited a deep purr from him even as he tried to get away. "Mama? Who's my mama?"
Jay's head snapped up at the comment, staring at Amaree. It took a moment for it to sink in and when it did he leapt back. "No way! Nothing's calling me Mama!"
The teal cub rolled his eyes and padded over to the other brown male. "Hello?" He peered inbetween the golden legs, trying to catch sight of Jax.

Brooke giggled. 'That's your mama.' She told Revyn, pointing toward Jayvyn with her muzzle.
Jax's ears caught the sound of a Hello, and a moment later, a teal colored face appeared. It was one of the other cubs. Jax paused a moment. 'Hiii!' He returned the greeting enthusiastically.

Areli smiled, as she bent down, and putting her paw over Jax's back. "Should we go back to the den?" she asked, as she stroked his scruff, before bending down and picking Jax up by the scruff in her mouth, but making sure not to hurt him.

'Awww...' Jax said, a little disappointed, as Areli picked him up. On instinct, he let himself drop limp the moment he felt himself lifting. 'Awwight, den!' He added happily. Perhaps the den wouldn't be so bad.
With Jax's cute little Awwww added to Jay becoming Revyn's 'mama', Brooke couldn't help but burst out laughing. Everything was just so crazy, and funny, that she almost collapsed to the floor, shaking with laughter.

Areli laughed slightly through Jax as she held him. She then motioned her head, as they walked back to the den. When they got there, she walked into the den with Jax still held by his scruff, before she found her little resting spot, and layed down, then let go of Jax softly, making sure all four of his paws where on or close to the ground. "This is the den." she said, putting her paw over his back to keep him close and still for a moment.

'Oh. Jax nebba sleeped in den b'fore.' He said, snuffling at the ground curiously. It was all new for him, really, sleeping with something overhead, living with so many lions. And in a way, his past was so much like Brooke's, but he had had it even worse.
