"She followed me from Sibera to Istanbul, and then here as well. An ocean isn't enough, clearly. Besides which, how will your demon hunter family react to rasing a wolfen born lycan child?"

"Don't make threats you can't carry out." Myyth said an edge clear in her voice, the anger she was feeling beginning to get the best of her. "You've sworn to her, you don't have a word to give or choices to make. I made my deal and you yours, and we will both regret them for the rest of our lives. "Our daughter will suffer for it, and more if she becomes a pawn for you to fight the Vixen for however short lived that may be." Looking like she wanted to break something Myyth continued to sit utterly still.

"Before she was born, I offered to give her to your parents, to try and hide and ward and hide her. She's born now, and it'll be that much harder..... I'm considering giving the Vatican a shot at whatever the protection they can offer her."

"Do you have any idea of the desperation I'm feeling to even consider that?" Trying to get control over herself once more Myyth paused and changed her tone slightly more aware that Nola appeared to have waken up.

"I want her to have a lycan in her life, someone to show her the ropes properly, to teach her to form shift."

"I don't know Omki, lets think about what hurt my trust for you. Could it have been a demon that could've have ripped me apart randomly showing up, and you bearly being able to mange him at best."

Raising her voice she continued on not bothering to even modulate her emotions. "And at worst he went off and did the one thing you explicitly asked me to refrain from. Killing people. Lovely. I lived never knowing who I was waking up to, or who might also be looking out the eyes of my mate."

"And then an opportunity came up. We could be rid of Jien. I wouldn't need to fear for my life, I could stop feeling beyond terrified over why I was sick every morning. So I took that opportunity, for us to stay together, for us to be safe. It was you or her, and I chose you."

"I went from knowing I was sterile, to being pregnant. That is what changed. Radiation caused sterility generally doesn't fix itself, even in my kind."

Myyth shurgged and went on. "For Gods sakes, Maria died. I lived. Peter lived. But that level of radiation..... I should not have gotten pregnant. All that a side, I was thinking, that If could have one I could also have another."

Myyth turned away and refused to look him in the eye when she saw the expression his face."That I'm willing to give her up, doesn't mean I'm giving up on her. It means I'm willl to accept that someone else will raise her. That is why I want a lycan in her life, if she goes to your parents. I turned out Ok but I was at least rasied my my own kind."

Myyth shook her head, and withdrew from his touch."This is my city. I'm and elder now, the only way I get out permanently is if I'm reassigned or I die. Neither of which is going to happen in your lifetime."

"If you want to dedicate the rest of your life to the bringing down of a goddess, be my guest. But I will not leave my place for it. And this is my place, No matter where Nola is. If she is safe and has lycans around of her, I will sleep at night, knowing she has a fighting chance."

Dusk just watched silently with Ki'lin, not participating but simply stroking Ki's hair softly and listening. His stomach rumbled a little but he didn't complain. This was between Myyth and Omki, and he had no place to butt in on what they were saying.
