MutantXFactor IntroductionsHello and welcome to the course. Although this is an English class, think of it as an art class. The art we will be reviewing is literature; there will also be some films, videos, and illustrated material. Throughout this course, you will learn about different literature styles and techniques. and you will get to evaluate how those techniques are used in selected texts. In addition, you will grow and develop your ability to critically analyze texts, and to construct arguments about your interpretations.
Discussion tasks: question What is your most recent experience with critical analysis and critical thinking? question This is an intensive writing course. My most recent experience with critical analysis and critical thinking was at work. As a mechanic, I have to use problem-solving skills to diagnose issues that aren't a simple fix by just looking at the vehicle. I am not big on writing essays about literature, so my level is not as high as others. I am currently not reading anything. My favorite creative text is The Great Gatsby.

My recent experience with critical thinking is Sociology I took last semester. It was extremely challenging. I was forced to overthink behind my knowledge to understand societally perspectives. It was necessary to thought process problems society faced as well as how to fix them

Currently I am reading the assigned plays for this class. The last book I had time to read wads the Hunger Games. I consider the story to be well written and thought of. I like action based books that create suspense.

I found the Great Gatsby to be very interesting. It’s about a wealthy man who pursues a wealthy woman during the Jazz Age. It captures my attention based on the theme and setting it was based on. It’s intriguing and an attention drawer.

1. My most recent experience with critical analysis and thinking that I can recall is when I had to write my argument paper for College Writing I, and required me to analyze data, reports, among other pieces of evidence on social media bias and misconduct.
2. My comfort level on writing is moderately well. I have written many essays in the past and feel decently comfortable writing them, however am not always confident and fear that I might've made an error along the way, causing me to second guess myself during the writing process.
3. One book I am currently reading is the book "Night of The Living Dead An Analogy" by both George A. Romero and Jonathan Maberry
4. One of my favorite creative texts is the short story "The Lottery" by Shirley Jackson, it's structure and twist still sticks with me after reading it during my senior year of high school.
