Eternal Remarque - Roll 4
Darkness wasn't so miserable. It wasn't great, but he'd been there, done that.
The shrinking sensation of it all was a bit undesirable, and Remarque found himself feeling smothered with paranoia.
Remarque didn't get scared, so he wasn't sure how to word this, specifically.
Something was watching him. He needed to compensate. He couldn't see anyone--could feel them, but it was like he was alone in this strange darkness, with only the monster. Something hit him in the face--more debris, he figured, because the pain was brief and while it stung it didn't hurt.
The darkness didn't really slow him down. He just had to make sure he wasn't hurting an ally.

Sailor Arnica - Roll 4
Arnica still had a lot to learn about darkness; he might have been a member of the Dark Mirror Court, but it wasn't like this/ There wasn't ever the crashing sensation of darkness, smothering him. He felt like he was a child, suddenly--small and weak, and somewhere, in the back of his mind, he could year his father yelling about something.
Arnica swallowed.
It wasn't real. There was no way his father was here, he knew that. And if that was false, so too must have been most of this.
He tried to brace himself; he couldn't see but he could hear--and as long as people were still fighting, so would he.

Mauvian Soleiyu - Roll 4
Soleiyu stuck out more in the darkness than anything else, and the white fur that used to help him blend in was all but useless now. He felt the prickling sensation of being watched, of being on display, and his mouth shut quickly. He was visibly flustered--or, maybe not. He couldn't see anything right now and maybe, a part of him hoped that no one could see him.
He fancied himself useful, able to care for himself and defend himself.
Right now, he didn't really feel that way.
Dread had spread through him and he knew he needed to act, he just wasn't sure how. Yet.

All foul things thrived in darkness, so this beast was no different than any others. Not being able to see meant that there was a liability here; he might hurt someone who didn't deserve it.
They were all soldiers, all prepared to get hurt, but he didn't want to be the one responsible for it.
The idea of failure, the fear of failure seemed to seep into his bones. He gripped his hammer a little looser, but he couldn't just give up in the face of hardship. He needed to find a way around it. Needed to move.

Lupu, Squire of SaturnGetting stuck in odd places fighting odd creatures seemed as though it were simply par for the course of having magical abilities. When Lupu strained his memories, sometimes he could remember a place that was strange. And falling. He remembered falling, but that was about all he could remember from his brief tenure in the Negaverse. Honestly, he wasn’t sure why he was thinking about that now...but at least…
At least he wasn’t alone in this.
“Ammersee, why is it always you and me getting into trouble, hm?” He grinned at his brother, pleased to have him beside him. It made things much easier.

Squire Ammersee - Roll 1"Me?" Ammersee counted, a bit flustered and frustrated; the fog had rolled in and it looked like foggy monsters were popping up rapidly. "I didn't get us into any of this, this was literally all your fault. I was going to stay home, I never wanted to go out in the fog but you were the one that said you were restless and wanted to get out!"
He had his weapon in his hand, and he prodded Ammersee, a bit gruffly. "Stop screwing around, I want to make it out of here alive. And if anything happened to you, your boyfriend would just die."
...Honestly, it hadn't been so bad here, but if he was going to take a vacation with his brother, he would have chosen a much better destination. And he would have made sure to give everyone ample warning. As it was now, he could only imagine how anxious the rest of their group must be--especially since none of them seemed to be here.

Lupu, Squire of Saturn Roll 2Lupu grinned, clutching his bow in his hand and nudging his brother with his shoulder. “Yes you. Yes us. And don’t you go talking about my boyfriend when your girlfriend would be upset too! Obviously we’ll get out of here alive. Obviously it’ll all work out, and by Christmas...or by the next crisis, we’ll be laughing about this.
They obviously wouldn’t be dead. That wasn’t allowed, not by any means. “Come on. We have each other’s backs, this isn’t anything we can’t handle, and we’re not alone. If our loves were here...you know, that would make things worse, I think. We’d be worried sick, and I’d be freaking out about Mal so badly.” He moved a bit closer, shifting so that he took over Ammersee’s blindspots. “We got this. Seriously.”

Squire Ammersee - Roll 2Ammersee grumbled but he knew that Lupu wasn't wrong; if they'd had people they had to worry about on top of worrying about this place...
Here, at least, he knew he could function with his brother. He knew how he worked. Even when they were kids, they'd known how to work together. They were their own greatest enemies, but that only meant that their ability to team up together was unshakeable.
"I know, I know, I just--"
He swung at a fog creature, but it seemed to mean nothing when suddenly a larger shadow of a beast had appeared. He balked at the size.
"--I mean, I wouldn't mind the backup!" he justified, but he made sure to guard his brother's back as well.
