Brandon came to a stop slightly in front of the other but off to the side so he could see Patrik. He was glad his friend waited outside. Because even if on one hand, he was tempted to let the mark fade, it was hard to ignore the budding instincts. He rolled his eyes at his other half when he heard his response.

Brandon rubbed the back of his head as he took a playful swat at him when he saw the ears and tail. He was worried knowing they always had cameras everywhere, and he didn't want them to become interested in his friend. It was bad enough they knew about Kenny. It was well enough they sort of forgot about him once his mate was gone. Though he would not wish to lose a mate on anyone.

Brandon nodded knowingly. That was the whole point. As long as no one said anything or knew, he was safe. Or as safe as any of them were. It's not like they could ever live a normal life after all the alterations. He could only hope that one day something could be done that would allow them to have close to a normal life.

He had to admit that he did feel bad for Patrick just because of so much that had already gone on with him and then he turned around in loss the person that he was supposed spend the rest of his life with. Brandon watched him touch the mark and shivered a little, something about him touching the mark just really got to him. He took a deep breath as he turned his body tense, as he debated on if he should pounce him then and their. His eyes flashed green, and then he shook his head and straightened up. He hadn't realized that the half-completed mark would have such an effect on him.

Brandon groaned as he couldn't help but picture exactly what the other said. He could even hear the other's voice and smell his spicy scent. The thought actually made his eyes dilate as he panted a little. It had been so long, and he had been so lonely with only the comforts of his hand each and every cycle. He jumped a little when the other touched his hand as he struggled to refocus his wayward mind.
