Wildflower laughed and gently pawed her apprentice. "Don't be scared. It makes them feel stronger. Just think of how well we will eat after this." she grinned before ducking as Swiftfoot followed by Silentblaze whipped by her towards the fox. Laughing, she lashed her tail. "Ready Rabbitpaw? Just follow my moves." she grinned, leaping forward into the fray. She'd apologize to Shadowstar later, but right now it didn't seem like this fox was going to buy the story. Not to mention those Lightningclan cats chased it their way. They'd just have to prove who was better.

Rivermist wasted no time in trying to see if the bird brain would catch up. Their clan was in danger and she wanted to make sure all of them lived to see another day. A brief thought flashed in her mind of having kittens with the lizard lips before he died but she hissed, pushing that from her thoughts as she launched herself at the Fox, teeth and claws barred.

Russetstorm frowned as once again Riverclan seemed to lead the charge into battle, only instead of Flamedapple flinging herself first at a loner cat with Swiftfoot hot on her paws, it was Swiftfoot charging first into a fox battle with Silentblaze hot on his paws. Bounding up to the side of Shadowstar he paused, glancing at his leader and beloved with sad but serious eyes. He pressed his nose into her cheek. "I know his was not your first choice. But I also can't bare to see it tear through our clan....through you. I want to spend so many more moons with you before that happens." he sighed, turning his head and taking a few steps forward. He dipped his head to her before turning to Owlpaw. "Ready? Don't let your sister beat you to all the glory." he spoke, lashing his tail and joining into the fray with a yowl.

Longclaw had been dozing beside Rivermist, not really bothering with the silly border fight, cats had gone, his clan leader had gone and she was pretty much THE best fighter he had ever seen so he hadn't felt the need to leave the warmth of Rivermist's sides. He had done nothing more than blink when a kit was brought back to camp, huh.. so that's what it was all about then.... He yawned and was just falling back to sleep when the bark of a fox was heard and Rivermist leapt up, he overbalanced as she moved, leaving him a flailing pile for a moment, before he also jumped up, just a few paces behind her as she raced.

When she stopped and looked around, he was already running past her, flinging himself at the fox, hell NO was it getting anywhere NEAR his beloved Rivermist, screw the clan, she was what mattered to him right then and he would die before he let some mangy fox lay a paw on her fur.

Barkfang didn't hurry to the border fight but she had watched the goings on, ears flat and fur on edge when the leaders had parted, leaving Riverclan with a stupid sickly kitten.... what in Forestclan's name was Shadowstar thinking.... bringing sickness into camp, during Leafbare when cats were at their weakest ... She shook her head and walked off back to camp long before the other cats reached it, thinking Shadowstar was about as stupid as they came.

She'd just gotten settled when news of a fox at the border came through, lightningclan were fighting it? oh well that was fine. She yawned boredly, curling a lip at Stonebelly when he moved to look at the kit. Then more drama... the fox was over their side of the border... Barkfang spat, tail lashing as she made her way towards where the fighting was at, she was always much more tetchy during Leafbare, it was harder for her clanmates to keep up the deals they'd made with her to make sure she had food....and unless she wanted to be kicked out, she had to make do with the little they could find to bring her, being hungry made her cranky, as if she wasn't already.

She glared at the fox, one sniff made it clear this was a nursing mother fox, it was curious that she spoke a little Cat though and Barkfang wondered how. Then again, did it matter? foxes did not belong on RIVERCLAN territory, she snarled and launched at the fox, her own orange and brown toned fur looking foxlike at a glance, laughing as Shadowstar blatantly LIED to the fox, telling her the kit wasn't anywhere nearby. Maybe she wasn't such a stupid Clanleader after all.

Right on Russetstorm's paws, Owlpaw eagerly hissed and growled at the fox. His ears were down, muzzle curled back and fur on end. Glancing over to Russetstorm, he checked to see if anything was missing. Oh, claws out! This got more fun! Normally he's get in trouble if he had his claws out!

As his sister went after the fox, his mentor challenged him not to let her get all the glory. Oh it was on!

Running up to the fox, the little paw swiped at its leg barely touching it. Uh oh, that's not good. Maybe no one saw?

Fawnbriar had been fine staying back to protect the camp, it was just a scuffle with lightningclan. However, as soon as she heard 'Fox', the shecat was on her paws. "My babies!" The Queen tore out of the camp as a ball of fury teeth bared and fur on end. She skidded to a halt just to get a stock of her kits. Rabbitpaw was doing so well!

That hit of Owlpaw's sent the protective Queen screaming over to smack the fox hard. She wanted to get its attention off her boy.

Tortoiseshell watched as the warriors who had run to to border returned with a kit in tow. Was that what the boarder issue was about.

Ah well she had done her job defending the camp. She stood up and was stretching when several cats started shouting about a fox in the territory.

Looks like her job wasn't done after all. once she finished stretching she ran to where the fox was and leapt into the fight.
