Someone wandered up to Bix and poked him with the end of a stick.
It wasn't an umbrella, sadly, but October didn't have it with him. Hence the stick.
The poking continued.

[ ISLAND HP: 452/500 ] _forgot to add the 10 from the tree last time Sun Kim: 17/50 +Coconut x2 (10hp) Kim blinked as Melvin not saying anything just went and started to gather coconuts too. She wondered if he was upset with her, then realized that he likely was mad at her. She sighed a bit and went back to attacking the palm trees and gathering coconuts. She promptly knocked down another coconut and added it to the pile. This was going to be a nice stash. She looked at Melvin and swallowed. "Was this me?"

[ ISLAND HP: 452/500 ] Sun Kim: 17/50hp +2 Coconuts (10hp)
She patiently attacked the tree again and tried to get as many of the coconuts as she could. Maybe she should eat one or something. She did kind of need some nourishment of her own.
The kick she aimed at the tree completely missed landing her with a thump on her back, knocking the wind out of her. "ooogh..."

[ ISLAND HP: 442/500 ] Melvin was still exhausted and his mind was elsewhere as he noticed more and more centipede shadows walking along the shoreline and past other hunters. When Kim came to him, he jumped and looked over at her.
"It's a very real possibility. The golems are only attacking the island, and this happened soon after you lost the item. If it has a connection, then either the item causes golems or Atlantis is pissed off. Either way, we won't know if we can't get to Atlantis or find that item. Right now we can't do anything from on this island, and I can't tell someone that maybe there is a item somewhere on a island they can't even reach at a tree that will make them sick. Right now all we can do is gather resources and wait for a rescue to take us back to the island to sort this all out. So for now, just get your shield back to full, help the others, and watch out for any signs of trouble, okay?"
Just as he went to hit a tree, he stopped and looked back at her. "And if you find anything unusual on this island, don't touch it."

[ ISLAND HP: 432/500 ] Moving to the next tree, Melvin fired again, finding it rather easy target practice as another coconut came down. He took the two and returned them to the pile he was making inside the cove.
"Jordan has a lighter for us to make a fire. I'm going to get more food for us all."

In reply, Ever coughed; still weighed down in his coat, scarf loose around his neck, and his hairtie missing. It meant pale strands stuck to his face, and his eyes, and when it dried, it was going to be a curly disaster. Nothing he could do about that now. Instead, he flicked a look up at Zeke, still sprawled in the sand, and coughed again, spitting up a decent amount of water. "Did we kill it?" He sounded hoarse, digging for casual and dismissive but mostly coming up a little flat.

Al shot Melvin a thumbs up for his food collecting efforts. Despite being almost naked and sprawled out on the sand to dry, he was still wearing his scarf for some reason.

Melvin paused to look down at Al and stared at him. "Are you injured or can you maybe help fish or get some coconuts? A lot of people got hurt on this island. If you can hold a fish down I can shoot at it."

"Oh, I'm hurt," Al exaggerated just a bit. "I think a fish might kick my a** right now."
He was probably right.

"How hurt? Can you stand up to make it to the cove? Laying out here in the open might just set you up to be attacked by another squid." He said and nudged him with his foot.

Here, finally, was something Vash was good at -- because he could swim, if nothing else this place asked of him. He'd been huddled into his coat, poking around in a pile of debris in search of something to make his bland room a little less bland when the wave had hit. It had dragged him off his feet and knocked him into a pile of wood and, for a moment, he'd been adrift: turning and twisting before he went limp and let buoyancy take him to the surface. By now, he'd recovered: had found his pace as soon as his head surfaced and had done his best to squeeze the water out of his clothes. His shoes were a lost cause, which made Vasily's expression sour, because when was he going to be able to replace them? But the sand between his toes felt good as he walked the shore -- and came to a halt in front of Dean, the usual frown coming across a face that had been relaxed, the wrinkle growing between his eyebrows. Vash looked better: still red behind his veil of hair as he stared down at the other man's face, but the sunburn had started to peel, leaving a scattering of freckles in its wake. "...are you dead?"

"I got smacked around by the last one pretty good," he answered a bit more genuinely while giving Melvin a squinty look from the salt water and sun combo stinging his eyes.
"I could probably stand, Noah did most of the swimming for the both of us. I'm just. I'm exhausted man." He slumped back in the sand as if to make his point.

Rep arrived on the island without too much trauma. Almost drowning was something that was a hobby for him, he was also incidentally a very good swimmer. He should have been happy to be there, to get a bit of time where he didn't need to do duties.
But he needed to get back to Mask. He'd barely been a parent a week but already he was failing his kid.
He sat grimly on the beach, staring out to sea.

"Well then go to the cove and get some water. It's not safe to be this exhausted while on the shoreline. No one would be able to reach in time to save you when we are all exhausted. When you feel able, I'd appreciate any help we can get. There are a lot of hurt people and every little bit counts. If anything, can you help build a fire pit in the cave for tonight. Jordan has a lighter we just need a stone circle and kindling. I'm gonna get more coconuts for everyone."
He left Al to it and wandered down the shoreline before spotting Rep. Moving over, he stood beside him. "You okay?"

Lips pressing in a thin line, Zeke pushed some of those unruly, wet curls away from Ever's face before he offered a hand down to help him sit up, if he wanted. "I think so." It was a bit muddled now. The receding of the water, the wave's approach, it had all overshadowed the squid for Zeke, and he hadn't actually seen if they'd killed it or not. It did seem as though the fighting had stopped though. Handed off to a new trainee, Gretchen tossed another grateful smile to the Moon before he was running off to try to gather up food for the rest of them. Definitely a hero."I'm alright," she'd assure the new girl, straightening up so she wasn't leaning on her. "I just can't swim good with the leg," she kicked the prosthetic out and gave it a little wiggle. "That's all. On land I'm fine." She'd go where the trainee was leading he to though, because why not? Sitting for a moment to properly catch her breath would be nice. "I'm Gretchen by the way. Death intermediate."
