Claire winced and grasped Charlie's hand. "Not now...why now," she said breathing slowly as the contraction subsided.

A-Jinxed-Kid Claire winced and grasped Charlie's hand. "Not now...why now," she said breathing slowly as the contraction subsided. Jack looked down south and smiled up at Claire, "It's time. It's time Claire." Charlie smiled. "Did you hear that?" He chuckled, kissing her forehead. He then looked at Jack. "Well . . . what does she do now?" Jack gave CLaire a serious look. "Claire, it's important that you take calm breaths, in and out, slowly, then push when a contraction comes, got it?"

"Got it," she said as she forced a smile to her face. She felt another contraction comming on and pushed when it hit, but she kept her breaths calm.

A-Jinxed-Kid "Got it," she said as she forced a smile to her face. She felt another contraction comming on and pushed when it hit, but she kept her breaths calm. Charlie found himself breathing with her, and also grunting whenever she did. He couldn't help it, between everything that has happened and now this . . .he just couldn't help it. "Come on Claire, you can do it." He replied, kissing her forehead again. "come on, you can do it!"

Claire's eyes teared up. "It hurts," she cried. Claire tried to take steady breaths but was nurvous and in pain.

A-Jinxed-Kid Claire's eyes teared up. "It hurts," she cried. Claire tried to take steady breaths but was nurvous and in pain. Charlie looked over at Jack. "Is . . .is that supposed ot happen?" He asked. "Is it suppose to hurt?" Jack looked up at him as if he were crazy and then looked back at Claire. "Come on Claire, give a couple of more pushes and the baby will come and you'll be fine. Come on Claire, PUSH!"

Claire pushed harder and risted the urge to smack Charlie. She let the tears run down her face and she breathed deeply.

A-Jinxed-Kid Claire pushed harder and risted the urge to smack Charlie. She let the tears run down her face and she breathed deeply. Charlie closed his eyes as Claire gripped his hand tightly. She was cutting of the blood flow. "Claire . . .push . . .don't squeeze my hand off though . . ." He grunted. He heard Claire give one last push, then the small cries of a little baby could be heard all around. Jack smiled and looked over at Claire. "You did good."

A-Jinxed-Kid Claire sighed and then started crying not because she was hurt but because she had just brought a life into the world. Claire smiled and pushed herself up into a sitting position. Jack grinned. "Well, here you go." He replied, wrapping th ebaby up into one of his shirts, and placing the baby in Claire's arms. He grinned and winked at Charlie. Charlie grinned, looking down at the small face of the baby. Gently taking one of it's little fingers into his hand and kissing it softly. For a reason he couldn't explain, he loved this child like his own. And he loved Claire.

Claire smiled at the small one in her arms. "What are we going to name her?" she asked Charlie smiling as she leaned against him a little. The baby cooed in her arms and smiled.

Charlie was shocked for a moment and looked at Claire. " 'We?'" He asked. "Don't you mean, 'What should I (as in you) name her?'?" Jack smiled. "I think she wants your help on this one." he replied. He then got up, wiping his hands and winked at them. "I'll go get some fresh water and some shanging of clothes for you Claire."

You've been and will be more of a father than he ever could be," Claire said slightly blushing at what was comming out of her mouth.

Look Charlie, this one's dad walked out on her and then I was going to give her up, but we got stuck on this island. You've been and will be more of a father than he ever could be," Claire said slightly blushing at what was comming out of her mouth. Charlie was speechless, but only for a moment. He cleared his voice and his face for soft and he looked down at the baby. Smiling. "How about . . .Hope Elizabeth?" He asked. He gently traced her face with his fingers. He then looked at Claire. "And if you want me to be, I'd be honored to be your baby's father . . ." His face went crimson.
