With a firm clap, the Harlot brought her hands together, then idly wiped out another group of demons that had been charging towards them from behind. It looked like she really was done, although Kisa wasn't at all sure what she was going to be done with... and she was slightly hesitant to ask.

Kou Nekata, Lion of the Bad Future "Two on one might seem unfair, but I promise you would rather it be US than HER."
It wasn't an uneventful journey towards the Mist Wall Tower; before they had even reached the Moonlight Bridge leading from the greater Iwatodai Area towards the glittering, modern city section of Port Island, they had managed to lose Kyou in the winding streets and the mass of demons. Something told him that his brother was going to be all right, though, be it an instinct or just a feeling in general. And unlike the last time when they had wandered about rather aimlessly, he felt that the easiest solution to the issue would be to meet up at the place that they had all intended to meet in the first place...the Tower itself. He knew that Kyou would have wanted him to keep an eye on Kyouko, anyway, and make sure that she didn't hurt anybody too, too bad who didn't deserve it. Though in this world...it was hard to find somebody who really didn't. That was neither here nor there, however. And the journey only got stranger when they came to the Moonlight Bridge and were stopped by a rather short, grimy-looking troll demanding some kind of a 'Troll Toll' to cross over onto the island. His immediate reaction had been to simply kill the beast, but when a gun he'd picked up off of a bandit they had wiped out earlier caught the troll's attention, as well as a small knife he'd taken from a different corpse, Kou was more than fine just handing those over to allow them to pass. And no sooner had he done so than the troll started picking at his toenail with the knife and waving the gun around like a child with a toy in the other hand, talking about conspiracies and a giant bird-lady.
Weirdest. Troll. Ever.
Before long, however, their journey had come to its end. Nodding at Kyouko silently, he joined her in dispatching the foolish bandits that had gathered outside of the largest building in the city and by the time they were done, they had cleared out a full city block of any human threats that had decided to align against them. He rolled his bat-wielding shoulder and glanced at her, then back up to the Tower.
"If you want to wait inside, I can see some furniture in the lobby. I'll wait here for Kyou," he offered, tapping his bat on the asphalt and standing guard over the Tower, "We should go to the top together, though. Don't know what might be lurking up there."

Kyouko Nekata, The Seafoam Guardian of the North
Well... that troll had been weird.
The girl stretched her arms, letting out a little moan after finishing with the bandits that had been surrounding the Tower. That had been a nice warm-up...but the scenery was starting to bore her. Everything was red and doom-like and the demons weren't exactly pretty. Except maybe for that person/demon/thing that had almost killed her. He was okay. But...Kyouko wasn't eager to meet him again. Not right now, anyway.
The girl turned to look at her brother and pouted. "How did he get lost anyway?" Look who was talking. "I mean...we were right there." Again... hadn't she gotten lost just in that same way a few hours ago? Well... they were related for a reason."Alright, alright. I'll go check the lobby. If you find him give me a call."
Kyouko waved light as she moved inside the Mist Wall Tower, founding the fancy lobby trashed. Such a pity. It looked like it was a nice place to rest. The girl didn't have time to search all the place, for a group of Pyro Jacks appeared around her, surrounding her."Um...Kou?" the girl shifted her gaze back to her brother, but he was giving his back to her, looking for signs of Kyou."Eh, nevermind. I'll take care of this on my own."

Kou Nekata, Lion of the Bad Future "Two on one might seem unfair, but I promise you would rather it be US than HER."
He wasn't sure how Kyou had gotten lost, and frankly, it would have hurt his head just to consider how they had been together for as long as they had, searching for Kyouko, only for him to immediately go missing thereafter. Now it wasn't as though he was afraid for his twin; far from it, he was positive that if anybody could handle himself out there it was the guy he had grown up with in that Corrupted world, fighting side-by-side against the very worst that the twisted world had to offer. And if something was really wrong, he knew that his intuition (twintuition?) would tell him immediately, the feeling leading him out to help him escape whatever hole he had gotten himself into. No, for now he was safe, and hopefully the wayward b*****d would find his way to the Tower since they all knew the Mist Wall was their destination. Of course, they hadn't expected the unusual troll named Frank on the bridge, but getting by him had been an easy enough task given that he'd only taken the oddest of tolls and let them go. Honestly, a troll like that might be good for the national security of the country if the only thing he took from people was guns and knives to cross the bridge...but that was neither here nor there. The point was, Kyou was going to make it here, and it would be sooner than later, most likely. Until then, they had to keep this place safe, and potentially clear it out of threats so that they could make use of it in searching for others...and the origin of this Apocalypse.
Information, Uncle Nagamasa had once told him, was a key to the security of anything. If they wanted to be safe, they were going to need to figure out what the Hell they needed to be safe from. They needed to know what the threats were and where they might come from. Having a tower that could see the whole city like this one would be a huge benefit. ...As long as it wasn't filled with the sort of demons that were closing in on it now. Stupid freaking...he hefted his bat and curled his lips in annoyance.
"You know, even I don't enjoy fighting small fry like you this much..."

Kyouko Nekata, The Seafoam Guardian of the North
The Lobby had been of little use. "Thanks for nothing." The girl grumbled, as she pushed the doors open and sitting outside instead. At least there she could talk with Kou a little. The girl pressed her knees legs to her chest, wrapping her arms around her knees, letting out a sigh. "I miss uncle Nito." Kyouko said after a moment, her head resting against the wall. "He was an oddball. Always making me giggle. He probably would have found a way out of here by now." the girl continued talking, idly going through her phone and the weird app there. A new demon had appeared in the screen, and the girl tilted her head. She didn't give it too much attention though, returning to her original train of thought. "Auntie Nia would have fretted, but in the end...they'd found a way out."

Kou Nekata, Lion of the Bad Future "Two on one might seem unfair, but I promise you would rather it be US than HER."
After finishing up a pair of weaker hordes, Kou was cleaning the blood from the business end of his nail bat a little when Kyouko came back from the lobby, obviously having found very little of use there. Only about 50 floors to go before they were fully done making this place into something they could use, give or take a few for the construction that was still half-finished on the top of the Tower. But for now, it was a start. He watched her sit down and reminisce on their time with Uncle Nito and Auntie Nia back in the Bad Future, and while he could say with certainty he didn't have any fond feelings about that particular world, he missed the two of them enough that he could sympathize with her feelings on the matter. As odd as the two of them were, they had a way about them that made you love them regardless of whether or not you thought they were weird, or whether you believed that Uncle Nito should be using the name of 'Kuzunoha' when he self-appointed himself such an important title. And above all, they were family...and their family stuck together, no matter what.
"Who says they aren't doing that right now?" he smirked as he rested his bat on his shoulder, pausing to crouch down in front of her and give her that patented 'Big Brother' look of confidence and certainty, the sort that made it easier for a little sister to believe in him even in the worst of times, "Knowing Uncle Nito, he's out there right now fighting fiends, playing Jenga with some Kaiju's bones, and probably getting into all sorts of trouble while saving the world at the same time. Really, if we just relax in this Tower for a while, we'll probably find out he's up and resolved this whole thing without us...and still screwed up enough to make Aunt Nia freak out on him. That's just how he is. We've just got to hold up our end here for now, and we'll make it out of this just fine."
He smirked, offering his sister a hand up from her seat on the stairs before them.
"So, ready to clear this Tower, or what? I always wanted to own a skyscraper, after all."

Kyouko Nekata, The Seafoam Guardian of the North
"Play Jenga with Kaiju's bones..." she giggled. "I can see him doing that, yeah. Not a bad idea really. We could try it...if we ever get bored." Kyouko smiled faintly, feeling a little better now that her brother had cheered her up. He was right, though. Uncle Nito was probably out there saving the world. Just like he had been saving the world back in the Bad Future.
"Since when have you gotten all wise and know exactly what to say? You are turning into uncle Nagamasa." Kyouko took his hand and pulled herself up, brushing the dust from her dress. Uncle Nagamasa... he had taught them so much back in their world. "I wonder how Evie is doing... Do you think I could call out to her with twin telepathic powers? Maybe you should try that with Kyou." Nekatalapathy. That was a thing, right? She never asked Dad and Auntie Nami if they ever felt each other's thoughts. "He's so dense though...probably wouldn't feel anything. "

Kou Nekata, Lion of the Bad Future "Two on one might seem unfair, but I promise you would rather it be US than HER."
It was good to see Kyouko perk right back up, but she wasn't the type who would stay down for long in the first place. His arm loosely swung the bat at his side as he tested it out again, loosening up for another battle that was surely soon to come. And while he had said it as a joke, he had to admit that you couldn't put anything past Uncle Nito, really. Between he, Kyou, and Kyouko, too...well, he wouldn't put much past them, either. Maybe not Jenga with Kaiju bones, but something close to it could certainly be on the table of the other two got bored and dragged him into it. It was weird when he had to actually be the mature one in their little group; he supposed that somebody had to be. Though being compared with their Uncle Nagamasa was a bit of a bad joke considering how calculating that man was. Kou knew that he was...nowhere near that league, and probably never would be. In the end, he was more like his mom than anything, mischievous enough that you don't want to give him too much responsibility but responsible to handle and lead in the limited role that he had. And he would never gamble with his family's lives, especially in a world like this.
"Give me a break," he rolled his eyes at that comment, but couldn't help but smirk when she mentioned her 'twin' and telepathic powers to reach out to the two of them, "Don't know. But I bet if she weren't safe you'd know it. I'm sure that Kyou is nearby, and relatively safe...that's enough for me. Him, though..." He considered it and dismissed it out of hand. She was right, he was probably too dense to hear it even if he could talk to him telepathically. But that was the way they liked him.
"I wouldn't be surprised if we stumble across Evie in this world," he thought as they got up the stairs to the second level of the Mist Wall, immediately spotting a group of lesser demons wandering about looking for something to eat...and shaking his head, readying his bat again, "I think I'd rather she make it to a better world than this one, though. So we can find her when this is over and tell her all about it."

Kyouko Nekata, The Seafoam Guardian of the North
Evie had to be fine. She had to be. "Yeah. I don't have any bad feeling, so it has to be true! Boy, if any one could find a bright side to this shitty world, it would be her."Kyouko sighed, rubbing the back of her neck lightly. "But yeah, I hope she isn't here... that she and Naal got lost in a nicer world and are having a blast." she added after a beat, nodding to herself.
"Ah, do I miss those two pipsqueaks. Remember when Naal summoned that Lucifer when he was like eight? That was graaaaand." Kyouko kept talking... now that she had gotten started, there was nothing stopping her. She really loved her family...and talking about them and nicer memories soothed her in ways she didn't believe possible. And...it distracted her from looking at her brother's arm...something that had been bothering her for a while. She wanted to ask about it... but she wasn't sure if there really was something to worry about. That...well, it was a conversation for another time.
Kyouko followed Kou up the stairs, readying her weapon the moment she saw the group of demons waiting for them there. Along, there was a bigger loot...one that the Red Viper wanted dead. And well... she was in a good mood, so...she could grant favors right now.
Kyou Nekata 'Ah-CHOO!' Someone was talking about him....And, knowing how soon he'd been in this world... It could only be one of two people. The wilder Nekata brushed his finger along his nose at this, it twitching slightly as he glanced around. "Hmm...Hmm..Hmm.." he called out, sounding. He tapped his foot in Rhythm...looking up. 'Target spotted...commencing attack.' He knelt down at this, bracing his legs for impact...before pouncing on the Demon that was wandering close by... A Unicorn, that just so happened to be on his list of Things-that-Kyouko-might-like-but-Evie-definitely-would. "Hold still you Majestic b*****d!" the Nekata called, digging his nails into it's mane. "You're gonna be my demon, and you're going to like it!"
It thrashed, and bucked, and tried to throw him off...But, Kyou was a Tiger! And a Tiger wouldn't let his prey go, no matter what! Eventually...The Unicorn tired itself out of fighting..Slumping over in defeat. Kyou grinned a toothy grin, before holding out his phone...and letting the demon be absorbed into it. "Heh..Toldja so, Unicorn."

Kyou Nekata It was...truly a strange sight. The wild, proud, and downright feral Nekata...living every girl's dream. Riding on a Unicorn. He didn't pay it any mind though, merely climbing to his feet to peer around.....looking for his siblings that had been parted from him a small time ago. "Giddyup Silver! We're burning daylight!" he called out, gesturing over the horizon. "I'm never gonna hear the end of it if Kou beats me to that tower!" OIt was a small ways away....but, less so on the back of a horse. Or, magical-unicorn, as the situation were. He felt the horse's pace suddenly stutter, trampling a poor Preta that got in the path...and couldn't get out of the way fast enough. "Tch...Idiot demons."
Kyou Nekata Kyou continued to ride through the area on his Majestic stallion, pausing only when he saw a bunch of looters rummaging through the ruins of some store. He stopped for the briefest of moments, before deciding to continue on...Figuring it was none of his concern. "Wow..what a Girly Unicorn." "You know what? No." The Unicorn didn't even turn around, merely taking it's paces backwards for the Nekata to look out among the crew of looters. "Who said that? Who the ******** said that? Who's the dumb son of a b***h who just signed his own death warrant?!" The Rioters all quivered in fear at his threat/reference ,all stepping back to point at one in particular. "Oh you guys suck." The Tiger popped his knuckles at this, before suddenly leaping off of the Unicorn, and landing right on top of the guy, unloading with a flurry of punches. The other looters were all shrieking and screaming in terror at this, starting to scamper away like frightened doe. He looked up with a growl at the last one...watching him fall over without even throwing a punch. "Tch...Don't ever use that as an insult again. Kyouko'd do much worse than what i just did." he called to the body of the rioter he'd beaten to a pulp, picking up his phone. "Oooh..I think I'll take that." he called, his own tokens swapping for the demon in the man's phone. Something to heal wounds.... Not that he'd need that.

Kyou Nekata A horde of demons finally caught up the Nekata.....But, when the little Kodama went to try to sacrifice itself for the greater good..Kyou responded the only way proper to that kind of ******** that!" he snapped, flicking out his knives. "Unicorn! Nekomata! Kikuri-Hime! Let's kick some a**!" Sure, he lost a few tokens from sparing his youngest demon...But, he gained something valuable out of it, other than just some experience, and a good brawl.... The pride in knowing that he wouldn't have to ditch his demons at the first sign things were going bad. No....He was tough, he was strong..he was a Tiger, dammit..And he wouldn't let a member of his pack go to waste! "Wait..that sounds more like a lion thing.." he noted for a second, before going back to battle. "Ah, who gives a crap? I'm just gonna keep kicking a**, and taking names!"
Kyou Nekata No sooner had he gotten done kicking the a** of the small horde...did the now irritatingly familiar Toooooooooooooot of the Trumpeter's Horn. "Son of a b***h!" he snapped in annoyance as he was forced to take shelter, glaring up at the skeletal menace. "Tch..you'd better hope I never get my hands on you...Or you're a dead man!...Or, rather, a re-Dead Skeletal-man!" It sounded cooler in his head. And much more menacing.
