I was raised in a red-neck, hick town in the great big expanse of practically nothing known as Australia. With the attitudes around me as I was growing up, I'm surprised I turned out like I am today.
Luckily for me, I was exposed to Yaoi well after my first male to male experience. I got a lot of "Re-education" in that period, actually... -Wanders off in happy thought- But I digress. I thought it was great to begin with. The romanticism of it made me grin like an idiot, a feeling I still get when I watch it.
Ah... Good times.

well, I first it was weird, cuz everybody talked about it like you should be ashamed of it. It was used a bad name too. So you get scared and dont want to be associated with it AT ALL But then you develope your own little mind and ideas and figure there is NOTHING wrong with gay people and they are really kind and nice and just trying to be themselves. Mmmyup
I luv the yaoiness

It never really bothered me when I was a kid. I thought it was okay and in my country, being flamboyantly gay is KIND OF accepted..I mean I was used to seeing gays whose voices are so high-pitched and some drag queens at the salon cutting my hair, but tht was it. It wasn't until I was in highschool that I learned of Yaoi and it kind of weird to me in a way that the gays in it are like normal people too, just liking the same sex. Not the kind of gays I see everyday.

Uhhhhh...actually, when I bought it I didn't even know it was yaoi until I actually read it. Then when I did see it I just kindda stared and drooled. Then I thought, "God I hope Mom doesn't see this..."

When my friends first told me about it, I was like "Eh..." about it. But then when they actually had me watch it and read fanfics, I loved it. ^__^

No, it didn't creep me out at all, which even I consider to be a bit weird. But I'm not usually surprised, and there's not much that can actually creep me or disgust me, so I guess this could be the reason. I was all "oh, look, so cute..." from the first time.

Actually, now that I think of it, two guys kiss and touching or two girls kissing and touching always felt so much more natural to me. I think it just has to do with better understanding people who are of your gender and therefor being better able to conect with each other.

The first time I expreience a gay encounter I was confused...I liked it, but I was never told why I felt the way I did. I did try to date a girl before...but it ended up being too weird, like dating a girl whom I was best friends with. Then I tried being whole-heartedly with a guy and I found it was correct, I felt right with a guy.
