Amaryllis was shaken from her thoughts as she gazed at their entwined hands. Then she looked up at Alfons. While she appreciated hearing about his past, that story didn't do much to settle her nerves about the needles. If anything it freaked her out a bit as she wasn't even aware that needles could break in people's arms. However feeling him massage her hand filled her with a sense of calm. She sighed and smiled softly, "This is quite a nice party, we should get this done so we can enjoy it." she said, pulling him towards the chairs that had been set up. As long as she kept her mind on having fun with her date at this nice party then she could get through getting blood drawn. 'It's all for a good cause.' was the thought that repeated in her mind. Soon she found herself sitting down with a needle in her arm. She made sure to look away for that part, though not because of the blood which interestingly enough didn't bother her. That was probably because she had made friends with a vampire or two in the past and had on a few occasions offered up her blood so that they wouldn't be hungry. Thankfully the process was quick and relatively painless and she was back on her feet. Rubbing at the bandage on her arm, she sighed softly. "Well at least that's over."

Sidevi || On Person: $80 || In Bank: $740 || Mood: Happy

Sidevi just sort of sits there watching Kiku devour her food, almost with an amused look on her face. Sidevi eats a lot and fast, but not like THAT in particular. She messes with her camera a bit, sliding through some pictures and turning the flash off as she tries her best to sneak a picture of Kiku chowing down. A little giggle escapes her as she does so. Of course she just wanted it for a silly picture nothing mean. Though this gave her a bright idea with Kiku sat and all! She turns the camera around and sets it in front of kiku and all of her food, "If you slide your finger across the screen left or right here you can see some of the pictures I gathered today! Tell me what you think of them." Some of the pictures were just.. people dancing, birds, and other rather normal stuff. Though if kiku were to go towards the end enough she would see the one just taken of her.

After showing Kiku how exactly to do that in case she didn't know how, she sat back watching the other woman to see how she would respond, especially to the last one if she made it to it.

What did she believe? Eevee contemplated the question for a moment as she stared at this, person. It was hard for her to determine one or the other. They looked so...in between that she couldn't make up her mind. Besides, did it really matter whether her friends were male, female, or everything in between. The ravenette paused in her current thoughts as a new one began to form. Did she say 'friends'? She had just met these people, they were hardly considered the type. Without actually listening to the complaining of privacy violations from the male with them, Eevee slowly dropped her phone to her side as her head lulled to one side as well. She had momentarily checked out as her reminisced on what it was like to have friends and how long it had taken her to gain them. Only to have them lost in an instant. Once again her hands began to glow bright orange as her powers snapped to life. The phone in her hand began to melt away between her fingers as the intensity from the radiation climbed quickly. However, unlike before, this time it was solely concentrated in her hands. They would...

Within seconds the glow disappeared, this time seeming to be a bit under control. Between the messy strands of hair in her up-do, Eevee trained her stare onto her current company after being asked her name. Her terrified demeanor also seemed to vanish instantaneously, although still shy, she was less scared and just awkward. "It's..." she paused as she looked down at the goo now covering her hand. "Uhm...-It's..." she struggled to get rid of the substance, which was slowly starting to annoy her to pieces! Of course, it was her own fault and now she would have to get a new phone. "Urgh! It's Eevee...!" she finally answered as she began wiping the goop on the jacket that had been provided to her by Alexus. She didn't understand the value in his clothing, she just considered it another piece of fabric. All of her clothes were cheap in some way or the other. Eevee sighed heavily through her nose as she looked at her slightly stained hand, a look of exasperation clear as day. "Well, you got lucky it seems," she said, referring to Alexus' need to stay anonymous about his extra circulars.

It was none of her business, and honestly, she wasn't even obligated to oblige his request. In a public setting, she could do whatever she wanted; which was where they were. "I have to get a new phone before I can go on recording any sex acts you may want to delve in," she stated rather flatly. She didn't know his personal history, or Alva's for that matter, so who was she to even judge? Her own history was muddled in blood and fire. Eevee brought her stained hand up and rubbed at the back of her neck, a scar so faded that it wasn't even noticeable unless you were looking for it sat below her hand. If they were going to go off to romp around in the sheets, she should probably head home; she was almost half naked anyways, only covered by a jacket really.

Upon entering the forest, Ceres simply inhaled the fresh scent of pine and oak that was saturated into the air. It wasn't necessarily exactly like home, but it sure was a good replacement. She was in her human form as her eyes looked around before she transformed into her true self: a Dryad. The branches of her home tree grew and sprouted how from the sides of her head and along her back. It wasn't the "normal" look of most Dryads, but she learned to live with it. It was still early in the morning, so there were a few faint flickers of the fireflies that flew through the morning sky. " They're like moving day-time stars ~" Ceres thought cheerfully before she back her morning stroll through the forest. To the normal human ears, it would sound quiet besides the occasional chirping of the crickets and early birds that sang. However to this Dryad, the forest was flourishing with small whispers and chants from the surrounding trees. Ceres said hello and actually held small conversations with a few while she walked the grassy path, letting her toes feel the moist soil and small, soft blades of grass.

The path seemed to lead her to a small pond and waterfall in the middle of the forest clearing. There wasn't any animals around, but the fireflies still seemed to linger. Ceres sat on the edge of the pond, dipping her toes into the water before she slowly eased her way in the cool waters. Now, THIS was a way to relax and unwind. Surrounded by nature, calmly swimming. As she passed a couple water lilies, the Dryad simply touched the petals, allowing them to spread out and bloom.

Everything was spectacular. It was early morning and just starting to get light, which meant it was only starting to get a bit too bright for his eyes. Still, he was able to see the vibrant colors of the trees and other flora. Small insects of a curious flickering bioluminescence passed by him, one even alighting upon his arm before flitting off to take care of whatever it needed to do. Birds were singing. Were they the last calls of the night birds, or the first calls of the morning ones, or maybe even a combination of the two. The world even smelled different. He had no idea what to compare it to, but it had a distinct scent unlike anything he had ever encountered before.

At the center of this forest there was a lake, so he discovered in his ambling. The water would be freezing cold, but he had always preferred natural pools over any man-made bathing contraption. Maybe that was the ancient elven blood talking, the part that hadn't become tainted when they went underground. He quickly stripped out of his clothes, hiding them within the hollow of a dead log where they would stay dry. Stealthily he walked into the water, as if he could sneak up upon the cold without its finding him. It woke his nerves and though the cold hurt his ancient body, the weightless caress of the water soothed him.

Then he heard movement nearby. He wasn't close enough to the log to get out and grab his clothes. He would just have to hide and wait and hope that whoever it was would go away. Ducking into a thicket of reeds, he kept himself as low in the water as he could and watched. From out of the forest walked a beautiful woman, all curves and grace like the most elegant of vines. Judging by the branches sticking from her, he knew she had to be a dryad, or maybe this realm had nature spirits he had never heard of before. He kept his distance and watched, now too afraid and embarrassed to announce his presence as she continued to wade out into the water.

"Long was the hour for the valiant knight that would ne'er be sick or slain
Lonely the bower in the candle light with neither kith nor kin
Storm clouds over the full moon raced, as he swung to the dapple grey
And man and horse to the westward faced on the eve of an All Saints' Day.

He's laid his hand on his hunting horn and with his dying breath
Has blown a blast to the blazing morn that would rouse the angel of death
High in the cusp of the starry night he heard his grey hawk mew
As out of the misty morning light his ghostly greyhounds flew.

Waillee waillee my noble lord who wakes me from my rest
There's none can heal the wounds of time that lie bloody on your breast"

Ceres was enjoying her little swim when the morning breeze rolled in, carrying the voices of the trees nearby. Hearing their calls, the woman stopped in her tracks with a curious expression. " There's someone...in the pond, too? " The trees definitely snitched on whoever was trying to hide. She guessed they were just warning her, but she didn't get defensive quiet yet. Ceres had gotten herself in crazy predicaments before and she knew better than to freak out right off the bat. Instead, she let her own curiosity take control. With a faint smile on her face, she walked around slowly in the pond, looking for the person the trees had pointed out. " You can come out, there's no need to hide. " She said with a soft, calm voice. " I know my branches are...kinda strange, but I'm not a tree monster! " The Dryad tried to sound as reassuring as possible. It wouldn't be the first time that someone would be startled from the large oak branches sprouting from her. It definitely wasn't something that you'd see on a person very often.

She looked around the pond, but still couldn't find whoever it was. Although...she honestly wasn't too observant and didn't search very hard. A small pout rose from her lips as she just sunk into the water up to her nose, feeling defeated. She really thought they left or disappeared. Now what? How was she supposed to get to know people in this town if her branches scared people off.

He was certain that she had not seen him, and yet she knew there was someone else around and had called him forth. Was it possible that the trees or reeds had told her? He wouldn't really doubt it, were not her kind particularly gifted with nature? It seemed that at least for the moment, she was not offended that someone had intruded upon her. To be fair, he was there first, but that was not an argument he was willing to make. Not wishing to anger her, he cautiously stepped out from the reeds, staying low enough in the water that she could not see anything offensive unless she chose to search, though she would easily be able to see that his body was littered in myriad scars, some of them even fairly recent. He bowed to her as best he could, though he had never particularly practiced aquatic bowing before. His white hair was plastered to his skull, easily revealing the long pointed ears of all elves. "Kind lady, I hid merely so as not to cause you any discomfort, I promise there was no malice in my actions." He needed to get that part out, maybe then she would spare him, though he had little hope now that she knew he was most decidedly her inferior. "Your majestic branches do not frighten me nor do they seem strange. I beg you, do not think that I would ever insult or slight them. Rather, should anything put me ill at ease, it would be your elegance." Ok, maybe that was going a bit far, but he really didn't want to be killed just because he was in the pond that a dryad wanted to use. It would just be a sad way to die, or worse.

After sighing and pouting like a child, hearing the man's voice made her jump slightly. She looked over in his direction almost in awe. An elf! Or...was he an elf? He seemed kinda different, but it was nothing that she was afraid of. Ceres was just about to speak to him when he gave a very, very formal....apology? What was he apologizing for? In her eyes, he didn't do anything wrong, so why was he acting in such a way? With her hands raised, the Dryad shook her head. " Oh, no, no, no..! Y-You don't have to apologize! I mean...you haven't done anything wrong. " she said reassuringly with a small awkward smile. She was about to tell him that there was no need to be so formal, too, but the scars on his body at stolen her attention. He had so many, and some of them looked really recent! Slowly, she walked towards him, trying to make herself look as harmless as possible. She didn't know what kind of past he had, but it was most likely a rough one, hence the scars on him. Taking his arm in her hands very gently, she seemed to study the marks as if his skin were like pages in a book. " Do they still hurt...? " As she waited for a response, her fingers went over each scar, feeling the slightly raised skin. Honestly, the Dryad was worried. His past had nothing to do with her, but she still couldn't help but feel bad. She assumed he was a warrior of some sort back in the day, but she didn't want to ask in case he wasn't too willing to tell.

Her words shocked him. She was so modest, so gentle, and she continued to act as if she was used to people being scared of her. Always cautious, it seemed. He gave a slight bow when she told him there was no reason for him to apologize, that was truly very obliging of her. And then she was heading towards him and he had no clue what she was up to. She took his arm and looked over some of his old scars with what seemed like concern. Unfortunately, she had grabbed on to his left arm, upon which he was missing half of two fingers. Those were old injuries and might not cause her as much concern, but it was still probably more than she wished to see. "I confess, that fancy healer's building you have here, they do quite well, but nothing so strong as magic. Some of the more recent injuries hurt a little, but it is nothing that I cannot live with. Mostly my ills are caused by my age. I'm sure that seems a foreign concept to an ageless one such as yourself, but I am middle-aged, nearly elderly. My body sometimes wishes to remind me of my advanced years." Oh no. He had been lured in by her kindness and had gone on to complain and seem overly pitiful. It was not a fitting characteristic, and it might suggest that he had little worth. "I apologize, I should not complain of trifles as I did. Please do not mind it." He couldn't help but notice how close she was. She smelled ever so slightly of a forest at dawn, and her hands upon his arm were so smooth, most unlike bark.

Her eyes glanced over at his left hand to see that he was missing a couple parts of his fingers. Seeing the injuries didn't phase her but she still frowned slightly. Poor guy... Without even saying a word, she ran her hands over the newer scars and mutter an enchantment. Since the sun hadn't come out all the way yet, she couldn't fully heal the new scars away, but she could at least get rid of the pain temporarily. " There! That should feel better for a little while. Also, don't worry! Complain if you want. I've been told I'm a good listener~ " The Dryad said with a slight chuckle. She didn't care if he wanted to vent and complain for a little. It was healthy to do so! Keeping things bottled up for a long time wasn't good mentally on anyone. As she was going around, healing some more scars, she gasped loudly. It wasn't towards his wounds, she just forgot to introduce herself! Here she was in his personal bubble and she hadn't even stated her name! " I nearly forgot! I'm Ceres Calisto. And you are? " Her lavender eyes glanced up as she eagerly awaited for his name. Her first impression was probably weird, but it was at least a step into being an acquaintance, hopefully.

Once she finished healing all that she could, Ceres took a couple steps back so he could have his space. She hadn't realized up until now, but she practically bombarded him. She guessed since her and the other Dryads in the past were so close that it was pretty much natural to behave that way, even towards a stranger. " Now, what are you, exactly? A dark elf perhaps..? I haven't seen them in a while.... " The woman crossed her arms and tapped her chin with her index finger as she tried to guess what he was. It was kind of like a fun guessing game. " Just tell me if I'm getting close~ " Ceres was obviously having fun with her own game.

He flinched at first when he felt the magic welling up, he had been the victim of so many cruel spells, he instinctually feared magic. But her hands were cool against the burning wounds and yet there was warmth to them. He had never felt sunlight as other creatures had, for him it burned mercilessly, but he thought maybe this was what sunlight felt like to others. It felt better than any other treatment he had ever received. So good, in fact, he actually sort of smiled in a way that was not grim or sarcastic. "Aye, your magic has worked miracles," he flexed his arm, feeling it move with greater ease than it had in weeks. Even the arthritis had lost some of its edge, though he noted it was still there. "I wish I had met you sooner, it would have been a great boon to my health." He acknowledged her permission to continue complaining, but he did not take her up on it. It was not very mature or dignified to complain. If there was something wrong, then fix it, if it could not be fixed then ignore it. That was how he had been taught.

He jumped when she gasped, assuming she either saw danger or she had discovered some horrible wound upon his body that he had not noticed, but then she informed him that she had not properly introduced herself yet. "I am Drizyrr of the House Zaulyl," he said with a slight bow, "I confess, Ceres, you startled me a bit there. I am used that when one gasps, it is because someone is about to be killed. I will try to accustom myself to this place's character." It made no sense to him, but he actually regretted her walking away from him. There was a joy he could feel in her presence that was trying to rekindle his cold dead heart and soul. It didn't hurt that she was also very attractive. Then she was guessing his race, and was spot on. "I confess this will not be much of a game, for you have guessed correctly on your first try. If the vernacular is the same, then yes, I am a dark elf. Otherwise known among the surface dwellers as drow, correct? I know there are many other names for my kind, but they are the most polite in common use, I believe. And you are a dryad, are you not? It is an honor to meet one of such exalted nature." He bowed once more, deeper this time.

When Ceres was healing his wounds, she took notice of how hard he had flinched from it. It was almost as if he was afraid of magic itself. She wondered about how harsh his past must've been, but she chose not to pry and be a nosy person. Besides, the two just met! She doubted that he'd tell her anything personal for the first meeting. As Drizyrr commented about how he had wished they had met sooner, the Dryad chuckled and grinned. " Well, now you have someone to go to if you get more wounds! But...try not to get a lot. I think you've gotten plenty to last for a LONG while. " Ceres said as she moved to sit on the edge of the pond, slowly kicking her feet in the water. Drizyrr Zaulyl - the Drow, huh? She's heard stories about how "evil" and "terrible" their kind was, but judging from her first impressions of him, Ceres didn't see him that way. However, she is a really naive woman, so anybody she meets is "good" in her eyes automatically. Running her hands through her hair, Ceres began to wring out the water while she glanced over into his direction. " So, Drizyrr, what brings you here? To this city, I mean. You don't find Drows very often around here, especially out in the open in the early hours of the morning. " From her knowledge, the sun hurts them. It's the same way like the sun hurts vampires and other creatures who usually dwell in the darkness. Although, this forest in particular was fairly dark, even during the day. The thick branches and leaves from the tall trees blocked out the sun, with the exception of a few tiny rays that slips through. Ceres was about to say something until she felt some weight on the branches on her head. When she looked up, there was practically a whole flock resting on them! Ohhhh, how they annoyed her! It happens all the time! Dyrad tried to shake her head to shoo them away, but nothing seemed to work. " You feathered pests. Ohhh, shoo! My branches are not your home! "

"Night never ending
The weapons we bring are our souls
You know, You know
You know what it means to feel real
So rise up, claim the sky
We fight, We fight
Night never ending."

Drizyrr Zaulyl

He smiled when she so kindly requested that he not get anymore injuries, "fair lady, I have no intention of receiving any more wounds. I have hopefully left that life behind me, though of course if need should arise, I will not hesitate to lend my sword. And if I get wounded in the process, then so be it." He refrained from mentioning that he would also be fine with perishing in battle, that parts of him still wished for this. It seemed she had heard of drow before, yet she did not shy away. Had she not heard all of the legends, or was she truly willing to give each individual a chance? Either way, it was refreshing not to have people running from him just because of what he was.

"There are others of my kind here?" he said with a hint of panic to his voice. He didn't want to be discovered by others of his kind, he wanted to stay in this strange land where he understood practically nothing, but in which no one as of yet had tried to murder him or enlist him to kill anyone. A land where he could live in peace and was not treated as anyone's inferior. "Whether or not you believe me is a different question, but I am quite certain I do not come from this universe. I believe the surface of my homeworld looks similar to this one topographically, but the civilizations are vastly different. There is more magic where I am from, and much less sophisticated technology." He moved closer to the edge of the pond, though always managed to stay far enough under the water that he did not expose himself. Once there was only about two feet of water, he knelt down on his knees, which gave creaks and pops of complaint, but it didn't seem to bother him much. "I do not exactly know how I came here. All I remember is my ex-wife summoning a creature to torture and then devour me from some other realm. I dove past it into the portal, and as I was traveling to the beast's dimension, something hit me. It knocked me out and when I next awoke I was lying on the beach in this city. I'm afraid the sun was too much for me, and I passed out again. When I awoke this time though, I was in that large healer's building and they had many a strange apparatus attached to me. I believe they were treating me for some malady, or maybe just any wounds accrued during my travels. As for why I am out at this time of day, I have a regular day job now, and I am trying to accustom myself to this diurnal lifestyle. Though I do believe back home I was technically diurnal. But it was a cave, so day and night made little difference." He did not fear being so frank with her, for she seemed a nice person. Plus, if she took her right as a woman, and punished him with death for annoying her, she could probably kill him very quickly. A much more palatable fate than the ones offered by most of the women he knew.

He could not help but snicker slightly as an entire flock of birds settled in her branches. She tried to shoo them away, but they seemed quite content to stay just where they were. As she became more frustrated though, he decided it was time he did something to help. He picked up a small rock, a pebble really, from the pond bed and through it at one of the birds. The pebble grazed past its head, ruffling its feathers. The bird was so terrified it sprang to life and flew away, calling to the others to do the same. Soon they were all gone.
"That happens frequently, does it not?"
