 Sarren sat down at his seat and began to scribble on the paper. He smiled softly, imaging the person he looked up to the most. There were many people who had definitely helped him and that he couldn't help but be thankful for. But this particular person had helped him feel more welcome at the Academy.
This is my Big Sister, Kara. She's helped me realize my love for Science. She's also helped me try to fit in at the Academy and keeps me learning new things!

 Right, another test. She was sure she could do well enough, or at least better than she did on Math. However, the answers hadn't come as quickly as she wanted. She mused, quietly tapping her pencil as she slowly filled out the answers. She was satisfied that she did enough to pass and quickly handed in the paper. Hopefully she'd do better in her other subjects.

 Slinking into class, Aviont'e settled down into his seat, nervous as usual. He glanced about the class and tried to keep his fear of the teachers' species under control. It took everything he had to concentrate on the test. When he got his score, he wasn't too thrilled. But it was a passing score. Taking the advantage of not really having to stay in the class, Newt took the opportunity and fled.

 Popple's drawing of their daddies was much better than Effie's own. She wasn't surprised that they had chosen the same people for the assignment though. Their daddies were the best, after all! "My daddies are my role models because they're awesome! They're both in college so they're really good examples, right? My daddy cooks really good food all the time and he's in school for um...cooking. And horseless carriage repair." She grinned, proud of herself for remembering that. "And my daddu is in school for nursing so he's really good at taking care of me and my sister when we get hurt. And daddy says he's hopeless in the kitchen so daddu cleans instead!" She beamed at the teacher and at her sister before plopping back down in her seat.

 The little hybrid smirked to himself, believing this to be such an easy task. He listened to the other freshlings in class but no matter how objectively good their answers and pictures were, Avilan was absolutely certain he had them beat. When his turn came, he held his picture up. Yes, literally. His picture. "I look up to me because I'm awesome," he declared with absolute certainty. And for emphasis, he gestured to himself from top to bottom with one hand while the other continued to hold up his drawing. -------------------------- Guess who completely misunderstood the task. THIS little cutie, right here. Well she sort of understood bits of it, but she ended up focusing too much on the "look up" part and took a literal understanding of it. Which was why her picture was that of their teacher. "Um, um, I drew Teacher because he's taller than me and so I have to look up to look at them. Even if I stand on a chair." And she demonstrated this fact without falling off balanced. She beamed brightly and then got back down. "And um they're nice and teach good so I wanna be like Teacher."

 Tests were not her thing. They never had been. Having anxiety didn't bode well with tests, and.... she knew her teacher wasn't trying to make her fail...
So, she tried. She was sure by the time she was done it hadn't gone well, but she tried, and that was honestly all that mattered in the end. Stumbling up to the desk, she handed her test in, tail curling into herself as she headed back.

 Oh gosh! Another test today?! And this was one that Tinka was certain that she had forgotten to study for. Oh boy. All the grimmlin could do now was cross her fingers and hope for the best as she put pencil to paper once again while doing her best to answer the questions.
Tinka was a ball of nerves as she waited for her graded test to be passed back to her. Her eyes went as wide as they possibly could have! "Holy crap!" she blurted out, the shock of her score blowing her mind. She couldn't have been more happy if she tried to!

 As soon as the word 'draw' left the teacher's mouth, Enfys felt her heart sink. She was awful at art. Why couldn't they make a collage or something instead? A brief glance around the room and any hope of a revolt was easily shattered. With narrowed eyes, she fished out colored pencils and began to draw. She cringed when it was her turn, turning her picture over so the class could see, "This is my mother. She's much prettier than I can draw!" The little geist was quick to add as her cheeks flushed. "She's the best mother anyone could ever have and she loves me a lot. She's very kind and... She's just really awesome." That said, she hurried to her seat and slunk down. She was never ever taking art classes if she could help it. Drawing was the worst.

Mao rolled her eyes. Look up to someone...? She didn't look up to anyone!! Only herself. Because that's all she needed. She was pretty, pretty smart, pretty good at a lot of things....(but not art). Pulling out her pencil, she drew a crude drawing of herself and wrote at the bottom of it: "I look up to myself, because I don't need someone to tell me what I am or how I should be! I'm beautiful and great." She paused. What if she got in trouble for NOT having someone to look up to? She tapped her pencil against her cheek. Mao didn't really have anyone she looked up to but... well, she had recently made a friend. Who was just as pretty as her. So she quickly added in another scribble and wrote under it: "But this is my friend, Rasia. She's the only student at this school that is as good as me. I guess I "look up to her" to make sure I don't slip, because the two of us could totally rule the school together."
Sylwia squirmed. A role model! She thought about it... She didn't really have one, but two. Her papa and the nice demon she had met! Her papa had always been the best to her and wanted her to be happy and succeed in doing something she wanted, and Iron was... Well, he was a lot like her, though she probably didn't realize. She slowly started to write meekly, "I have two role models. One in a demon named Iron. He is very nice and I asked him to teach me how to draw so I can draw comics. He started to teach me! I think I'm doing good so far... Look I'll show you with my drawings below. Can you tell me what you think??? I wanna get super good so I can draw Vespercatwoman comics... And my other role model is my daddy. He's raised me all by himself without any help and he always wants me happy and he teaches me good things. He doesn't ever let me down and he makes me feel good about everything I do. I wanna be like my daddy and Iron when I grow up because they're the two best people in the world."

 Man... What was with the teacher today? This was so not how Hailey had planned to start classes today. Not that she didn't know about the test, but ugh... didn't they have any respect for the tired-minded in the mornings? Yawning, and making no effort to cover it, Hailey accepted the test packet and sloppily scribbled her name up top. Of course she caught one of those looks from Malachi the desk over... one of his unamused looks. She simply stuck her tongue out at him and did her best on her test.
After the test had been finished and turned in, she slid back into her seat and rested her head on her desk with a yawn. A little while later her test was passed back to her. She peeked an eye open just enough to see the score was passing, and went right back to sleep.

 Turnip was really nervous he was having really bad luck with tests today.. Yea clearly the test deity didn't like Turnip today or he forgot to study..

 Whereas his girlfriend hadn't been ready for anything, because he knew she just didn't care about studying, Malachi had stayed up all night to study for this test. As a matter of fact, when he accepted the test packet, he almost felt dog tired and ready to crash right then and there. Mayhaps he'd been a little overzealous in his want to study. scrubbing his hands over his eyes, he started on the test and prayed that he didn't screw himself over.
When his test came back to him, the fallen put his palm to his face hard enough to where just about all the class could hear it. It had been a passing grade, but just barely. Hailey was not going to let him live this one down.

 Nex was horrified. His drawing was.... awful, and his feelings showed as he grimly frowned at the object before him. Still, when it was his turn he raised the picture, head tilting to the side so he couldn't make eye-contact with anyone.
"I drew my mom." He stated, briefly glancing at Tethys with a knowing gaze. Mr. Tethys knew who his mom was, he sure did. "She protects me. From the media. She does everything for me. Mom works. A lot. But she always has time for me. Family comes first. No matter what. I want to be like her when I grow." With this, he nodded, heading back to his desk.
