The part where Ruia had to stand there and listen to two people talk about her various values and detriments was... disheartening, to say the least. She felt exposed, being poked and prodded around until the two of them came to an agreement as to how much she was worth. That answered her earlier question, at least, but... it was still disheartening. She shivered again as the collar went on around her neck, displaying a value she could only see through distorted reflections in the metal around her. Surely there would be a mirror somewhere, right? So she could see exactly how much trouble she was in...

Gretel was considering what games to play next when an old woman came near and squatted, in a thought she would give way if she was finding something she lost. Instead, her grey eyes stared in confusion when she began to put coins around her in neat meticulous intervals between each. The resourceful girl would have immediately think of the some sorts of rituals, the skeptical faery circle that said to send people inside it to another world.
Rational as Gretel, she would not jumped out or yelled like someone might, she simply watched until she finished and went away. Costumes. She might be one of the mall rats, but she never see her. While she picking up the coins and put in her hands to pile them up, the woman had disappeared.
An idea clicked in her mind that suggested that she might be giving the coins to her, so she remembered the sum and added to hers. In case she would return and ask for them, she could give them back. The time limit she set was before she freed herself.

After earning the coin needed for July's sum of 100, Jayson wasted no time in putting down the 100 coins. Even if he was just 20 more, there was no way he'd buy himself first. His lovers safety was what he wanted to secure first.
Besides, as a smirk crossed the strawberry blondes face that WAS his lover. Between the coin he'd gotten playing games, and from a silent woman who had been more than generous. He had thanked her with a surprised thank you.

July didn't waste any time going up to the counter. There was a stubborn set to the usually friendly young man's face. His silver and blue mismatched eyes narrowed on a woman behind the counter. Taking a deep breath he placed his hands on the counter.
"I want to buy my husband's freedom." He gave himself credit for not even stammering. He lifted his chin up looking the other in the eyes.
"Do you have the co..." She didn't even get to finish. He unloaded his pockets and pushed everything at her. The woman sneered, rolling her eyes as she slid him back 13 coins. "Here's your change." She added flippantly.
Annoyed, July pulled away, going to join his lover as he watched as his collar was removed. Burying his face in the others shoulder he clung to him. "I'm so ******** sorry...this was a horrible idea to come here." He whispered softly smiling just a bit. "But we did it! We'll talk more later, like you said earlier." July closed his eyes, allowing himself to finally relax for just a moment.
