"How such a crude mouth comes from such a lovely young lady, I shall never know." Mot smiled anyway, leading Hel into a dance to match the music.

Xiu tilted her head a little more upon hearing Qui's response, her brows creasing in concern at the uncertainty in his voice. Straightening up, she too began to glance around, as if instinctively searching for this mysterious person despite knowing nothing about them. Giving a little shake of her head, the corners of her lips tugged upwards in a warm smile as she looked back to the horseman.
"Perhaps they are just running late," she suggested gently upon noting his discomfort, "Though I really hope that you enjoy yourself tonight. The amount of people can be a little hard to take in, I know," she laughed, rubbing the back of her neck with a gloved hand, "But now you have one friend and two new acquaintances among this mass of students." She held up her index finger and moved it in a circle to indicate everyone within the little group.
"Anyways! I've already taken up too much of your time," she chirped, gathering up the sides of her dress again, "I'll see you guys later in the evening as well--feel free to say hello if we cross paths again, okay? It was nice seeing you again, Demi, and I'm really glad to have met you two, Uru and Qui!" She turned to each person as she addressed them, giving a happy little swish of her tail before turning in search of the other familiar faces she had spotted earlier.
The baku perked up at the sight of a snake tail poking out amongst the crowd. Failing to notice that it was not the same colour as the one a certain boil owned, she weaved her way through the students until she had reached the tail and its owner. "Jiten--oh!" Eyes widening in surprise, Xiu found herself standing in front of a pretty ghoul instead of the friend that she had thought she would be greeting. After a second of pause, she lifted a hand to her mouth in embarrassment.
"Oops, I'm sorry! I mistook you for someone else!"

Who's Ruth? Who indeed.
At least his suspicions regarding the frog boil had been true enough. He tried to ignore the weird shadow thing the ghoul's face did there for a second, mulling over her question instead, probably with more seriousness than it warranted.
"I'm... um... not familiar with Boodith McNaughty, but no, Hector would not be the third leg in our—" Bren paused as the minipet hit Ignatius, stifling a grin. He didn't continue his thought either, waiting to see how Princess Not-Ruth responded to her frog's summons. He was no longer sure which he preferred, being encouraged to dance or dealing with bizarro versions of his friends.

Unfortunately for Draven, Mayaa was often quite clueless about things even if they were quite blatantly in front of her. BUT SHE WAS HERE NOW AND NOTHING WAS GOING TO STOP HER FROM HAVING FUN. "It's ok! What's important is that we're here now, and we can go have fun!!"--------------------------- Ugh, this wasn't worth her time. It was loud, noisy, everything was tacky, and she was OUT. Jala turned, ready to leave, but then there was a ghoul standing in her way, seemingly to have mistaken her for her brother. She arched an eyebrow, and squinted at the baku. "How do you know Ji?"

Xiu had been in the process of excusing herself when the question reached her ears. Glancing at her in surprise, she took in the other ghoul's appearance, particularly the tail that had caught her attention in the first place. And the fact that she referred to Jiten as "Ji"...a close friend or relative, perhaps?
"Um, we met a while back," she explained with a small smile, interlocking her fingers behind her back, "And I ran into him again recently at the maul while I was with a friend." She, however, made no mention of the fact that said friend had accidentally kicked Jiten right into the fountain. That didn't seem like something that needed to be brought up here and now.
"My name is Xiu, and I'm a graduate of Amityville," she introduced herself, her smile growing as she stretched a hand out to the chimera, "And you are...?"

Ayane leaned a little into the kiss, her own hands moving to her partner's hips as she giggled a little. "Mmmm, thank you screechie," she said softly as she slowly started to dance with her ghoulfriend. "I am very glad we came." As much as she wanted to show off her ghoulfriend's skills, there was a time and a place for such things and right now, her only interest was focusing her full attention on Lute. She did not want anything else to distract her, so she'd left all her things back in her dorm. Granted, it was not hard for the Oni ghoul to summon things as she needed them, but that was beside the point. "You are a great dancer too," She continued with a grin, granted they weren't doing anything really complicated, just a small circle really, but for Ayane it was a start. To be fair she really wasn't the best dancer to begin with.

Draven chuckled. "Yeah, I guess that's right." He looked around. There were lots of people... and there seemed to be lots to do. "What do you want to do first?" He just wanted her to have fun, okay.

Huh. So was that why he had been ignoring her lately? Because he had been flirting with some ghoul? SURE she might have nearly kinda set his room on fire and made it her life goal to humiliate and torment him, but really, were they not family? Shouldn't she at least know the people he hung out with? People other than HER?
... ok, she could see why she he wouldn't want her around (the ghoul was admittedly quite pretty), and Jala would have made sure he made a complete fool of himself. But well, he wasn't here now, so... no harm, right? She'd make up for the time lost now.
Rather than take the ghoul's hand, Jala covered her mouth as she smirked. "A graduate? My, and still attending the school for a little party like this? You must really miss it." Planting her hands on her hips, she gave Xiu a haughty look. "Jala. Jiten's sister." Her tail swished lazily, the snake's beady eyes trained on the baku as it flickered its tongue, and Jala leaned in to sling an arm around Xiu. "And AS his sis, I've got a little word for you, ghoul to ghoul. Ji's a loser. You best not be hanging around him too much. Still sucks his thumb, you know. Cries himself to sleep every night about how much he misses home. Such a baby."-------------------------- "GAMESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!" Seriously, no surprise there. Without letting him get a word in, she was already pulling him towards the mirror.

Eyeing her pooch hanging out by the door too, she smirked further at his very prominent displeasure that was practically oozing from him.... and flickering with his sharper flames that snapped and whipped along his spine. It was hard for her to unsummon him, simply based on the fact that she was actually quite reliant on his company, and the strong bond they shared made it a comfort of sorts having him around, even if their distance wasn't directly parallel as it often was.
Hands resting on her hips, she looked the two up and down, inspecting their get ups for the occasion, before letting her pale gaze flicker up to rest on Zaire's, and then Jory's with the introductions provided. Grin lengthening along her face, her eyes narrowed in a playful manner as she tilted at her hips a little to get a better look at the shrinking Jory, "Just as cute as you, I see." she mused harmlessly, "It's nice to meetcha, Jory. I'm Verusha. And my fire dog out front is Cannon, as mentioned before." what a cutie, with that little stammer. It made her almost inclined to tease the meek boil all the more to try and pull him from his shell further... but she held off...... for now.
Straightening, her head lifted to its usual confident position, chuckling lightly with a faint shrug, "Yeahhh, I think proper introductions got kinda passed over, since we had more important things to talk about then." she snickered, "Zaire. Nice to finally know the name of a fellow elite gamer." peeking back at Jory, her head tipped in his direction, "You game too, Jory?" she asked with a curious crook of her brow.

Her eyes widened slightly, surprised either due to the the ignored handshake or the other ghoul's words. She hesitated, and then shook her head with a little laugh, her familiar smile replacing the look on her face almost immediately.
"Maybe so," she admitted with a wry smile, shrugging her shoulders, "Though really, I only really come to see if there are old friends about rather than to visit the school itself." Though she would be lying if she claimed that she didn't miss Amityviille from time to time. It was only natural considering how long she had lived there coupled with her experiences throughout the years.
Her brows lifted slightly upon learning that the ghoul was Jiten's sister--that explained a lot--and she had been on the verge of offering the usual "nice to meet you" when she was stumbled a little beneath the sudden, additional weight of an arm.
"Oh, uh," Xiu began uncertainly, at a loss for words for the first time that night. She had a feel that Jala was probably exaggerating a lot, but she gave her a little smile anyways. "Is that so? Well he seems to be quite nice, all else aside."

A very suspicious looking gnome seemed to be walking through the prom, dressed in a trench coat. He looks shifty, but he still walks up to some of the students, and opens up his coat quickly--!! Only to show a variety of minipets in the dozens of pockets lining the coat. "Hey kid, take one. Free of charge. Not even defective. Totally legit. Ain't nothing illegal happening here. Promise." Nonetheless, several gnomes in security uniforms usher him out before he could give away more than a few of his clearly safe goods. Seiana_ZI Congratulations, the shady gnome has left you something! Anyone ready for this? Of course not, Legs would never have done this otherwise if creeple were ready for her entrance. She was just being fashionably late. It was difficult, finding some fairy tale that focused on the lower half of one's body. In the end, she went one that was (figuratively) near and dear to her heart: The Red Shoes.
And wouldn't you know it? She already had a lovely pair! Oh she was going to dance up a storm tonight! All she needed was a partner or two.

Anna had been dressed by Merry, with suggestions on proper dress care. Her small red and white lace dress was finished off with a little cape that was pulled over her ears. Her tail swayed back and forth as she quietly made her way through the throngs of dark fairy tailed students.
She hadn't seen Merry, or the twins she was fond of but that was okay! She was a big girl and she would make her way around!
Plus she had a basket full of snacks too, keeping her pleasantly full. Her ear twitched as she passed by a certain group before she doubled back around and stood behind a certain marionette.
She was quiet for moments behind him.
"Lutz." She loudly said his name.

Sibyl had literally arrived back at Amityville earlier that day. She had no idea what was going on, just that everyone was off to-- PROM?! SHE WAS BACK IN TIME FOR PROM?! She had nothing to wear! Nothing! Ahhhhh! Nooooo! She wasn't allowed to go naked! And so the little Selkie had spent the rest of the day running around trying to put something together, and she wasn't unhappy with what she had ended up with. Long hair was curled and braided and styled in what she felt was very princess-y, and it helped that she had come home with pearls and jewels and shinies that sparkled in the light. And this dress would do, it'd be fine. It was blue, and it shimmered. Perfect. It even matched the tiara she had decided to wear. As she entered prom she looked all around in amazement, having not seen anything like this in..well... awhile. It was great. It was really great. Look at all the...the creeple... .... Ice. Her eyes widened at the sight, and she hadn't even noticed who had made it or was currently sitting in it. Instead Sibyl whipped off her shoes and ran right for it, sliding across it with ease and a delighted 'EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE~!'

For a young lady who'd gone to all the trouble of trying to look nice for prom, Gabby just stared at Sibyl sliding across his ice, around and around, with absolute exhaustion. "Sibyl." He muttered. "Sibyl." He growled, as she continued to squeal every time she passed. "Sibyl." He whined, when her squealing drowned him out. So instead, he blew ice at the path directly in front of her, and arched it up so that she would slide into it and stop moving. (Or go flying in the air, but he wasn't necessarily planning for that.)
