Chance was one of those people who held his liquor relatively well, so he had a bit to go before he was entirely shitfaced. As it was presently, he was merely pleasantly and lightly buzzed.
He reached for the chips again.
"Dude. Is he gonna like, marry all of the lady lions or something, is that how lion prides work - wait, hold up, is that the same monkey from the beginning, the one that almost threw him over the rock cliff?"

"The very same." Otto murmured, leaning his head against Chance's. The buzz of booze was making him feel drowsy, but not yet sleepy. "He's my favourite." He smirked. "Ra-fee-keeee..."

Chance drew his legs up onto the couch, partly curled beneath him, the bowl of chips back on the table in favor of the pillow, which he now held against his chest again.
"He is a funky looking monkey," he declared, and then a few minutes later -
"Am I just drunk or is his father speaking to him from a cloud."

He gave a snorting laugh. "All of that rolling around in the grass with Nala made his head loopy, now he's starting to imagine things."

Chance took another shot for Be Prepared, but didn't pour one for Otto, instead letting him decide for himself if he wanted another drink. It burned a little down his throat, but the Southern Comfort was doing its job of making him feel warm and pleased with everything.

"Nah, she don't die. You're fine." Otto murmured, comfortably warm and snuggled on the couch. He leaned over Chance to grab a throw blanket he left there and wrapped himself in it. Ultimate comfort. "s**t's gunna go down soon."

"Oh, good," said Chance, easing back into a state of relaxation by this reassurance. He tucked his head next to Otto's and hugged the pillow to his chest, giving a small hum of interest as, on screen, the lionesses were snarling and snapping at the hyenas.
"Oooooh," Chance breathed out. "That ********, finally admitting he was the one who killed his dad, dude, what a jackass. I hope Simba kicks his creepy old a**."

He gave a very undignified snort of laughter, Chance muffling it against the pillow that he raised against the lower half of his face.

Clearly Chance, having hardly watched a movie in his life, was one of those people that got really into the movie. He brushed a few stray strands of hair impatiently out of his eyes.

Otto just watched Chance now, grateful he himself had already seen this movie a few times. He had a feeling taking Chance out to see a flick would result in an embarrassing day. Or just an irritated Otto. But, for now? This was funny. Otto kept snacking on popcorn, staring at Chance as he yelled at the TV. "They can't hear you, man."
