If he hadn't been so tired, he might have literally said zoinks as he stumbled to his feet. Fear was a great motivator, but there had been a split second where he thought he wouldn't make it: one of the hydra's heads snagged a fang into the rolled ends of his jeans and dug into his leg on the way up. A quick shield strike knocked it off long enough for him to make a cleaner getaway, but he mourned the loss of his poor pants leg and probably scarring.

"Maybe they remembered what happens when they mess with ya," he offered with a little grin. Nevermind his takedowns, he didn't match up to Glowing Warrior Princess. At least the pool remembered his Tarzan impression when he growled it at them. Rather than a show of strength, however, Dawson just swung his shield out when the vines came for him, deciding to leave nothing to chance. Stamina: 30

Maebe inhaled, preparing to do a stunning impression of Xena, but both of her hands slapped her mouth shut before anything could come out when she thankfully realized that she'd just be calling the marble statues back for another round. So instead she rose her fists up in the air beside her head, and very quietly whispered. "Go team." The lake was less impressed by her previous shenanigans, but Maebe was equal parts exhausted from being thrown around like a football, and relieved that the sludge couldn't catch up to her this time around. She made it to the edge of the lake and she didn't even need to rest. She took that as a good sign. Stamina: 13

Eventually he couldn't take it anymore. The ones were atrocious and he was super super done with trying to cross again.

He righted himself at the beginning of the pool area and yelled to Maebe, "M'done, hun, cain' handle the got-damn things anymore. Friggen....s**t."

Teddy Bear now sported a whole new layer of bandages around his arms and torso because <******** vicious vines. "Feel like a half-assed mummy," he joked, wincing every other step. He hoped to God they had a smoother travel through the temple this time because he wasn't sure he was capable of heroics again right now.
