Gio responded by asking if he should sue, and he actually sounded rather serious about it. "Please don't," she responded dryly. She liked being able to come to the dojo to train, and she had no idea what would happen if someone actually sued them. Would they still be willing to have Hikaru teach and Arezu come in for free, if her new friend lawered-up? The mental image of Gio in a suit in court made her snort.
As Gio and Lucario got ready for their battle, Hikaru and Arezu found a spot on the bench to the side and sat down, ready to watch. They mirrored each other's interest in seeing Gio and Lucario take on the same opponent they had, even if their own fight had been months ago. "Hey, Hikaru. What do you think, after this- Sabrina?" By Arezu's side, Hikaru flexed her paws. [ Yes, let's. ] They'd trained enough to give it a try.
Once the fight started, Hikaru nodded with pride as the Tyrogue countered Skarmory's fierce attack. She had trained on the technique with the little one, though her own use had evolved from that of the standard counter, trading the raw power for a more versatile application using steel energy that could affect even non-physical moves.
When the blizzards started coming out, Arezu tried to keep from groaning. This was the kind of thing that got him banned from gyms, wasn't it? Maybe she should've warned Ani. Either way, she summoned Ai from her pokeball and had the espeon use her psychic powers to redirect the snow squall around them. Despite being surrounded by a calm bubble inside the storm, it was still a bit chilly from the blizzard, so they all ended up sitting on the floor leaning back into Shiisa's side. The arcanine was more than warm enough to make it comfortable.
Hikaru perked up with interest when she saw Lucario mega evolve. It seemed he chose to take the form temporarily, instead of constantly maintaining it like her. She wanted to talk with him about it, but for now she just watched the battle. It was exciting to get to see a fighting style so different from her own. From watching, she could definitely see the focus that Lucario had with his aura extended into battling.
After the fight, Gio turned to Arezu. "See piece of cake, whaddya think?" he asked. Arezu very pointedly looked at the surrounding dojo (a hitmonchan was helping a machop out of the snow from where they'd been watching). "I think I know now why you're not allowed back into any gyms after you get your badges." She laughed and stood up, "That was a good battle. Reminded me a bit of mine, minus the blizzard." Ai began padding around the dojo, collecting snow as she did and funneling it to Shiisa who blew out a steady stream of controlled fire to melt it. Ai then directed the water outside.
"I enjoyed getting to see you battle," Hikaru said to Lucario. "I did not know you could mega evolve as well." She wanted to ask if he would be willing to watch her fight as well, against Sabrina, but she wasn't sure if he and Gio had been banned from the gym. Mirroring her thoughts again, Arezu spoke up, "Yeah, I was thinking I could get a battle of my own, with Sabrina. Would you even be allowed to watch?" She was also thinking it'd be pretty interesting to do a friendly match against Gio. She could tell Hikaru was interested.

Gio, who was abit oblivious, thought Arezu was paying him a compliment when she mentioned knowing why he wasn't allowed back in the Gyms. He gave a cheeky grin and rubbed the back of his neck. "Sorry about that. Call me cold but sometimes I just get a little impatient and... Uhhh... Forget to think clearly." He looked back at the state of the Gym taking in the scene. Snow and Ice littered across the Dojo. He wondered if he should offer to help clean this up. There was no way he could let this fall back on Arezu, but he could see some of her and the Dojos Pokemon already on the job. Better to let the professionals handle it, after all he might make it worse and burn the building down.
"I enjoyed getting to see you battle," Lucario was surprised at Hikaru's praise. For him it was embarrassing to be complimented by someone other than Gio. He could feel the color in his cheeks change as he started to blush, but shook his head and tried to hold straight face.
Lucario was definitely happy Hikaru gave him an opportunity to try and change the conversation, as she seemed surprised that he could mega evolve. "Thank you, I take great pride in being able to battle in such an Aura driven form" He of course, was referring to the large amounts of Aura that could be felt burning through his body as the transformation took place.
When Arezu asked Gio if he would be allowed to watch a Gym battle between her and Sabrina, he was sure the answer was no. Not because he destroyed every wall leading to the Gym Leader, but because he refused to pay for the damages. The way he saw it, Leaders had to have a budget for damages anyway so why should he have to pay? Those teleport panels always made him dizzy and sick. There was no way she could expect anyone to battle like that. So if anything he felt he was helping future Trainers out if she hadn't already repaired them. Sabrina might still honor her threat though of making him pay though. "Uhhhh that might be a bad idea, besides I still need to gather a few things before we skip town ya know." he said as an excuse before suggesting something else "Lucario here can go with you if you want? I don't think she would recognize him and he could find me anywhere"
Lucario hoped that was true, after all the walls had been knocked down by his paws. No doubt they had both wanted to win, but he knew Gio being sick would have hindered those chances. Now his Trainer was offering to let him go with Arezu and Hikaru for their battle. The Steel Type looked towards Hikaru's Aura "Would you mind?" he asked her. It was rare for him get the chance to study another Trainer's battle style or even Pokemon. Since he couldn't see the Aura's in a TV and that's how Gio liked to watch Battles.

As Gio surveyed the gym covered in ice, Arezu was remembering a very different snowy location, moments after Gio tossed a small bomb like a snowball. By accident. "I hadn't noticed," Arezu said dryly. It was probably a good thing that Gio didn't try to help. For some reason Arezu imagined it ending with the dojo on fire.
Hikaru nodded at what Lucario said about aura. She'd felt the burst herself, and it made her a bit breathless to watch. "I was a bit surprised. My mega form has never quite so explosive, for me." She experienced the enhanced aura capabilities, but she'd long been practicing with her control. It had been a source of frustration for her. Despite Arezu trying her best, it felt like the finer trapings of the skill eluded her. "Tell me...who taught you how to harness it?"
"Uhhhh that might be a bad idea, besides I still need to gather a few things before we skip town ya know."
Arezu smirked. She was pretty sure she'd been right about Gio not being allowed back. Picking up some supplies was a good idea, though. "Yeah, you're welcome to come if you want, Lucario. I don't kow if a psychic like her would know or not, but it's not like she specializes in steel or fighting pokemon." Hikaru nodded as well. She was curious what Lucario would have to say about her technique. And...well, she kind of wanted to show off. He asked if she would mind, and she responded, "Not at all."

"Not who, but what?" trying to figure out how to explain how he harnessed his Aura. "If my Trainer did not think I could handle myself, he wouldn't let me battle. With that being said, if he trust me enough to battle for him why shouldn't I give everything I can every single time?" he paused for a moment thinking about to say. He knew it wasn't just trust itself. "That, and being able to focus on Aura, is the only way I've been able to see since I met Gio." he nodded approval, thinking about how humans would describe it. "I would assume it is what humans call 'Adaptability'."
It was probably for the best, but Gio wanted to check out his favorite shop one last time before they headed out. They usually held items he could use for battling or making his Pokemon stronger. Plus it was one of the few places he knew that sold Rare Candy's. He really wanted to know if they had any. Not to mention going ment he would most likely he would have to pay back Sabrina for damages and he didn't have that kind of money.
That didn't stop Lucario however from wanting to go. If Sabrina did recognize him it wasn't like she would make Arezu pay for Gio's damage. More importantly it was a chance to see other Pokemon battle outside of Gio's. Which ment he had a chance to see different strategies in place. He knew if he went with his that wouldn't happen. Skarmory was far better suited to help navigate the city. Which ment that even if he did go, he wouldn't battle.
Neither Arezu or Hikaru seemed to mind him tagging along. It seemed like good timing as well. Gio wasn't one to sit for long and it was showing. He was already trying to leave and hit the city. What he did know though was that he wouldn't leave the city without him. That was reason enough to go with them.
On his way to the exit Gio turned. "Oh yeah! Before I forget." he scribbled something down on a old train ticket in his pocket. He handed it over. "This is the number for my Pokegear. If you don't have one, any place with a PC will. So feel free to call me when you are done, or Lucario can find me." he started to back up but instead found himself backing into a lumbering Machamp. "Aye sorry big guy, didn't see you there" he ducked under one of the Machamp's arms in a quick motion before disappearing behind it and out the door.

Gio wandered into the streets with his hands behind his head. "Aaaaall right, let's see." the young man said as he reached for a Pokeball. "Come on out Skarmory let's get moving" it seemed she had recovered from her battle quickly as she shot out of her ball and took to the skies. She flew around slightly slower than normal. Her neck still hurt a bit form getting slammed into the floor but she was ready to spread her wings and fly. She landed on a light post and screeched at Gio like she was asking him what the plan was.

What Lucario said didn't make sense to Hikaru, and even made her feel more frustrated. The key to his control was his trainer's trust, and giving his all? But didn't she do the same? If that was true, then the problem was just with her.
"Hikaru, Lucario, you coming?" Arezu was at the door with Gio.
It startled Hikaru from her thoughts, but her feelings still swirled around her like a mire. Hyper-aware of Lucario being able to sense aura so keenly, she focused on Arezu's aura, trying to mirror the feelings of excitement and anticipation in her own. He can probably still sense it, she thought bitterly. Though she herself hadn't noticed how similar her aura had become to Arezu's already, so pulling those feelings around herself actually did mask her. It also did a decent job of getting her mind off of it.

"Oh, thanks. I think my pokedex came with one, you can get calls from that, right? " Arezu pulled it out and added him in. "I'll probably need to go to the Pokemon Center after anyways."
The gym was pretty close to the dojo, so it was a quick walk to get there and thankfully when they arrived, an attendant at the front door let Arezu know that Sabrina was not in the middle of a battle. They directed her out to the battlefield, and then disappeared.
"Uhh. I guess she'll be here soon? Lucario, do you want to take a seat?" There was a bench at the edge of the field, though there definitely wasn't as many seats as a lot of gyms had. Did Sabrina not like audiences? Or...maybe this was new thanks to some damage caused by a certain someone... Arezu smiled to herself. "Hopefully we don't somehow manage to destroy the place, too."
Soon enough Sabrina arrived, and Arezu gave a stiff nod to say that she was ready to battle. It had been a long time since she'd had a gym battle, and her adrenaline was already flowing. Not to mention, Sabrina had a hell of presence. Well. Two could play at that game. Let's see if we can't shake up that confidence.
Arezu picked out a pokeball, grateful to feel the weight of it that meant that its occupant was actually instead, then threw it forwards. Niji stepped gracefully onto the field, black paws on the hard-packed dirt. It was strange seeing the suicune in his true form, after so long seeing his human form. It also felt strange issuing orders to him, but, well, she didn't have much of a choice. It was difficult to tell whether Sabrina was thrown off by facing a legendary, but Arezu wasn't going to wait to attack. Niji dominated the field with a blizzard, keeping the kadabra cold enough that its movements just couldn't keep up, until it fainted where it stood.
The next opponent was an espeon, and though Ai didn't have the ability Synchronize, Arezu had a...feeling that there was a strategy behind Sabrina's choice. She recalled Niji, and switched to Kouvu. She'd want to be careful about using that same freezing technique. Kouvu let out a screech, flapping his wings fiercely and kicking up dirt before dashing in for a sharp bite. After that Arezu commanded him to take to the air, using his speed and power to course correct whenever the espeon used its psychic powers to try and ground him. Instead, he turned that into a wheeling dive, sinking his teeth in again. The winds kept the espeon confused long enough for him to win the battle.
Wanting to keep the momentum, Arezu sent out Flurry next. He was uniquely suited to take down Sabrina's alakazam, but not before his opponent pulled some kind of trick. Whatever it was, after it happened Flurry's wonder guard stopped blocking attacks. Alarmed, Arezu decided to swap in Raphael next.
Raphael started off strong, dancing around the edges of his enemy's attacks. The Mr.Mime pressed its hands flat around it in a flurry, summoning barriers to keep Raphael at bay. Leech seed attacks pinged off the barrier like hardened droplets of water, littering the field. But there was simply no way to keep out the sound of a grasswhistle, luring Mr.Mime to slump to the ground. Raphael quickly threw a batch of leech seeds out, then blew it away with a powerful hurricane.
It looked like this fight was already finished, when Serena spoke. "Rise." Mr.Mime's palms pressed flat to the ground, pushing to its feet. It's entire demeanor had changed, and when Arezu got a look at its eyes her adrenaline spiked. She watched the mime as, with little emotion, it waved its arm, summoning a hurricane to counter Raphael's own. Sabrina's eyes mimicked the movements of its hands even before it made the movements, predicting Raphael's movements and meeting him at every step with cutting winds. Unable to get an attack in, Rapheal was thrown back to Arezu's feet, knocked out cold.
And what was let on the field was a maelstrum of roaring winds, all centered around a Mr.Mime, eyes aglow with psychic power.
"Hikaru... can you hit it?" Hikaru stepped forward, from Arezu's side and into the field. She expanded her consciousness, tracking the aura of Mr.Mime's touch as it guided the howling winds. She controlled her own aura, shielding herself from Sabrina's psychic sight. And instead of diving into the storm, she drew a single sharp stone from the ground, hovering in front of her palm before she fired it with a burst of aura. The stone arced through the winds, slamming into the Mr.Mime and knocking it out. Hikaru shifted her gaze to Sabrina, and dropped the protections from her mind, challenging.
The next pokemon was a jynx. Rather than a careful, calculated attack, Hikaru now darted in with extreme speed, as if to show that it didn't matter if the psychic predicted her moves when they were this fast. She landed a devastating iron tail attack. Jynx desperately counterattacked, sending a super effective focus blast at Hikaru's chest to force her back. Hikaru crossed her arms and dug in her heels, allowing herself to be pushed back only a few feet. The metal spikes jutting from her paws and chest now glowed with stored energy, and she released it at Jynx in a burst, knocking her out.
Hikaru whirled to face her next opponent, but there was no more- the fight was over. Arezu walked up, meeting Hikaru on her way to claim their badge. "That was reckless of us, wasn't it?" Hikaru nodded, but she felt good about it. Attacking so swiftly and with such assurance- it wasn't something she would have been able to do not that long ago. But she'd just known what Arezu wanted her to do, without her trainer even needing to say the words, allowing her to act more quickly. It gave her back a bit of her confidence that she'd lost back in the dojo.

With her new Marsh badge tucked away, Arezu had stepped out of the gym with plans to get to the pokemon center and meet up with Gio, only to be surprised when Niji broke out of his pokeball. "Niji?" He was still in his suicune form, and it immediately put her on edge. Were they about to be attacked? She felt a spike of fear. That had been a tough battle, her pokemon were hurt and tired.
Niji looked over his shoulder and shook his head.
"...no?" Her stance relaxed. "Well then what-" a bright wind of light picked up, swirling around them, and teleported them away.

Gio walked the City as his Skarmory flew from blocks end to blocks end. Guiding him before finally landing over a shop's awning cawing out to her Trainer signaling this was the stop. He walked up and looked at the sign. "Thanks girl, buuut..." he looked at the beat up sign that kind of looked like a cartoony version of a Gastly. Fittingly named "Ghastly Gastly" "This isn't the place we were looking for"
All of a sudden a scrunched up old lady burst out front with arms full of wears attached to the tailing of her robe. "This was the place you were looking for young man! I called your bird here!" she exclaimed while she showed some silver wing shaped whistle quickly before shoving it back in her robe. "I have a message for you, from a mutual friend of ours. I can't tell you who, of course" she rummaged on one side of her robe before switching to the other. "But trust me you are gonna want this." she stretched her words a little before seeming to pull something out. "Here it is. Took good care of it I did" she said as if praising herself.
In her hands was a medium sized box. Gio reached out for the parcel and grabbed it by the ties. It was not that heavy and kind of surprised him with the over all weight. She had scrubbed off the name so he couldn't see who it was from. Tearing the package quickly he removed the lid off the box. There was two Pokeballs sitting nestled inside. One green with the shape of a four-leaf clover on the face. The other was yellow with blue tails on it. Gio picked it up and stared at it with a face of confusement. "Ah yes! That ball is very rare indeed. You must be very careful because it can only grant one wish!" the old lady shook her hands wildly trying to get Gio to pay attention. "One wish you hear! Only one so you must be careful!" Still confused with what the lady was saying he asked. "So what do I do? Just "I wish for some super rare shiny Pokemon?" the ball began to shake and the old lady started to shriek upset at the young man. "ONE WISH I SAID!!! ONE WISH WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!!??!?" Gio, startled, backed up and dropped the ball. "I didn't know that would count don't get mad at me" as he trailed off as the ball popped open and out flew a silver and gold dart that shot towards Skarmory. Who flew off her perch as quick as she could, only to be surprised by, a Pokemon with blue eyes that stopped right in front of her. Before chuckling and flying back towards the ground.
The Pokemon flew towards the lady before coming back to Gio. He was surprised at the over all size of the Pokemon it was smaller and looked like a balloon shaped head with spike protruding everywhere. "So what is it?" the old lady still trying to calm herself. ""Exactly what you wished for! A 'super rare shiny Pokemon'" the young man still didn't exactly get it. "So I could have wished for anything?"
"Just about, as long as it wasn't more wishes."
"Wait so I used the one wish on a super rare Pokemon and you are upset?" she tree her hands back up "It's about context! You could have saved the wish but you used it right away!" Gio glared at the lady "Well I don't know why you wouldn't tell me that to begin with. Geez this poor Pokemon thinking you don't like it" the old lady was fuming she opened her robe and a big black shadowy presence lurched forward. Engulfing Skarmory, the mystery Pokemon and Gio. "You will leave and never return! EVER! You he-" everything went black and he couldn't hear what was going on. He could feel himself slipping out of consciousness.

Lucario watched as Arezu battled. She was very different than Gio, for starters it seemed she let her Pokemon battle completely for her. Avoiding any unnecessary speaking. With Gio speaking was half the battle. If he could get a Trainer to lose their composer, how could they focus on the battle?
Hikaru on the other hand didn't need any sort of command. She was lightning quick. Switching from offense to defence in the blink of an eye. Knocking out both opponents she faced quickly. One with a stone from the ground, the other had a dose of Steel Type attacks in succession. "So Lucario what did you think?" he nodded "You must know this one is impressed. As you could tell Gio battles with brute force and the flow of emotions. You on the other hand, it seems, choose to incorporate more strategy and poise."
Arezu grabbed her badge and they started to head out. Lucario seemed to be having fun though and wasn't quite ready to go find Gio. It didn't seem like it mattered much as some mysterious light teleported them away.
When the Light disappeared he could see a gaint Aura encasing a huge flying Pokemon. It let out a caw that was tone deafening. It was loud and forced him to cover his ears with his paws. He didn't know if she should try and assist in battling, but Arezu was already on it. Sending out her Espeon, Ai, she shot a quick jolt of electricity out towards it. Strangely enough it didn't seem as if they were the only Trainers there. "Certainly a lot of fun and adventure for one day. Tell me do you know where we are?" he asked Hikaru as he looked up towards the flying beast in front of them.

The young Trainer woke up to his Pokegear ringing. He opened his eyes slightly and realized he was in a different area of Saffron than he was when he encountered the old lady. Also all of his Pokemon had been returned to their ball's. Wasting no time, Gio shook his head and opened his eyes all the way. Right, he thought. Arezu has Lucario right now and he just had to deal with that crazy old lady. The Pokegear kept ringing reminding him he has a message. "How long was I out for? That has to be Arezu wondering where I am." checking the message revealed she was in Galar. Where is Galar? He thought while typing out his message. There was a picture attached of everyone. It had Arezu, Hikaru, Neji, Ai and Lucario in front of what looked like a giant stone wall. Lucario had his paw covering his snout turned, either sneezing or talking to one of the other Pokemon he assumed. He hit save on the photo since this was an embarrassing photo of Lucario and Gio didn't have any other photos of his Pokemon.

As he stood up a note slipped down from his hat. It was apparently from the old lady. Who explained that the other ball, she never had time to explain, was used to change a Pokemon's Ability. It was definitely helpful, despite him not knowing how he would use it. "Now what? I should probably find Arezu, buuuuut I still wanted to go shopping for a few things." the only reason he even thought about that was because he was now in front of the store he did most of his shopping at here in Saffron. Definitely a different shop than most. He bought a few items he had never heard of but we're supposed to improve his Pokemon's strength. He also bought a Mega Stone for a Pokemon he had no idea about. Maybe he could use it to trade or if he found the Pokemon, to train.

Lucario wasn't that surprised at the situation, with Gio he had just gotten used to popping up in random places. So this was more or less another day at the office. There wasn't that much time to admire the giant Machamp though. He had kind of expected to battle, but Arezu found an exit and was becking them towards it. Honestly he did want to know where they were instead of battle so he let the Suicune do that job.
Once they were outside, he could smell the air was fresher here than Kanto. It reminded him slightly of Mt. Silver, but this place was far different. For starters, this place was no where nearly as mountainous. He could feel the Aura of plenty of Pokemon around them and a few were unfamiliar. Gio had never been here, with him at least. His attention snapped back to the others though as Arezu asked if he would like to take a picture to send to Gio. "Yes, what do I do?" he whispered over at Hikaru "What is a picture?" he heard a click and assumed whatever it was had already been done.
Arezu apologized for kidnapping him explaining there wasn't really much of a choice. "No need, I believe this was ment to happen, possibly" he said with slight uncertainty. Arezu and Neji had a quick discussion before she asked him if he wanted to return to Gio or stay here with them. "I shall stay, if there are Gyms here I'm sure my Trainer would enjoy testing the strength they possess." What he really ment was, I want to battle and Gio can quit being lazy and let me do my job.

Arezu told Gio to check his map, but he didn't have the Galar map pack. So he went to the Poke Mart and bought a new map pack. Once it was installed he was shocked how far away it was. "Geez, this is a bit of a trek. Guess I was knocked out for some time if they made it that far" he replied to her message.

She explained she was thinking about traveling, and was curious if he had ever traveled on an Arcanine. The answer was no. Gio preferred trains or shortcuts, and by shortcuts he ment whatever hole Gio blew open. "I do not believe I have, is it fun?" the Steel Type asked quizzically.
