Psykgi Mentha
Psykgi nursed an unpleasant little wound she'd just gotten in the latest "battle therapy" session she'd just "hosted". She'd contributed some very good best practices to the therapy technique, but "hosting" still meant being beaten up a little bit. Padded protective gear and not using actual weapons reduced the injuries she got and made it easier to actually do the talk therapy part of the fight therapy session. But, hits still got through. That was just how it went, and Psykgi was honestly fine, if tired. She sipped at her bland apple juice as she cleaned the small bleeding wound that she'd attained.
Still, though, she thought it was a success. She wasn't poisoned, nothing was broken, and the patient (or client? some people were using that term...) came out of it much more stable than when they went in.
She finished her first aid and checked her schedule, chuckling slightly as she saw another fight therapy session set for later on. She'd just have to deal with the fatigue later...

Psykgi Mentha
Psykgi made her way through the crowded, lanbrynthine halls, her mind preoccupied by an anomalous troll. She wasn't the main doctor on the case -- she was assigned as an assistant and researcher -- but it still excited her.
No... not just excitement. It filled her with a mixed sense of awe and dread, to know that there were such truly disturbed trolls in this world. How could Alternia produce great soldiers, great thinkers, great artisans... and then also permit trolls with serious anomalies to reach adulthood? What skills did they have, to survive as long as they had, without their anomalies causing their death?
It couldn't all be luck.
This was the sort of case Psykgi had signed on to do. The sort of case that she'd pored over as a kid, fascinated by the arcane workings of broken minds. What could that troll become, if they could take the bejeweled skills from the morass of their broken mind? What if that troll could be reformed, fixed, made a proper citizen of the empire?
The possibilities were endless.
Much like the hallway.

Psykgi Mentha
Psykgi was pulled aside one day in the middle of her shift by her supervisor and quietly handed a folder. It was of one of her coworkers - she'd suspected that there were psychological files on all of them, but the extensiveness of this one was startling. Especially for a blueblood intern.
She was to look into this person, because it was hire-or-fire time for them and they had exhibited, the supervisor said, some troubling tendencies. Although cagey when Psykgi tried to question the supervisor, it didn't take long to see what the supervisor didn't like about her fellow.
Garish Socks.
So it said, right there, in bold lettering, next to a circled part of a candid photograph. Depicting... pretty standard SeaSHEll-branded socks.
Psykgi's smile faded as she found more pictures of her coworker in other situations.
I think that I know who the problem is here, she thought, her stomach churning irrationally as she looked through the rest of them...
