Shane-senpai Haha that's not what it means at all. It means that you can't have a section in a clan or a bloodline that gives you a rank cost reduction. You have no bonus for not having a clan/bloodline. Although that's actually a really good idea, off-handedly! I might actually want to do that; let people get a cost reduction for not having one. One question before I post. How is your technique boosted from A to SS? For one, no technique can be boosted by two ranks unless it's your main element with the Sage class. There is also no such thing as a light sage. And Joukai doesn't rank-increase Joukai techniques if I recall. o.O im a lightning, Sage class ninja and used the untapped power stated in the class description. otherwise i wouldnt have done it. wasn't cheating or anything. it is there

Where's the other boost from? Also, lightning bonuses don't effect light techniques. Though I might change that. It could definitely add utility to Joukai for non-sealers. I'll let the +1 slide. But it's not +2 because there's no other lightning boost than the sage class boost. Is that correct?

You will not be allowed to have a two rank reduction in any technique, only one. So you might wanna grab a clan or something. The reason for that is simply that -2 ranks is too abuseable and flat-out unfair; it's simply the OP inverse of +2 ranks to a tech.

I'm guessing this is what you're confused about: The sages untapped power will allow them to break the regular jutsu boost cap and extend jutsu of their element by +2, rather than the limit of +1. This is passive. It simply says it 'allows' them to break the cap. It does not actually, passively break the cap. You need another boost to do that.

XＳＡＧＥ ＣＬＡＳＳ Sages are Masters of a Single element, with their numbers never going past 2 sages for each element (A master, and a student). Born with a Singular Element, and massively more chakra than others, the members of the Sage class are generally seen as monsters due to the incredible power at their fingertips. Not only do they gain a Single rank increase to the singular element they represent but they are also the Only class that can extend a single rank past the Cap for Jutsu strength (However, this requires the use of their untapped power). XXXSTRENGTHS CHAKRA --Members of the Sage class are considered Monsters in terms of their chakra reserves, gaining an increase of 30% to their maximum supply. NO HANDSEALS -- Because of the ease of use for elemental jutsu of their element, the do not need hand signs for jutsu of their element. XXXWEAKNESSES STATS -- Very average stats. Raiken clan STRENGTHS • +1 Speed, go past the cap if need be, but just by one. • Lightning and Magnetism manipulation to the extent of your rank [NOTE: Genin will not be able to cause large-scale thunderstorms with just a flick of their nose, be mindful] • An increased rank in raiton or magnetism jutsu of any kind and decreased rank in raiton and magnetism jutsu of any kind that is used against you.

But, here's an idea: You get a reduction from both not having a clan and not having a bloodline, but you can't place that reduction in the same type of jutsu, so no double reduction on weapons, but I could, for instance, put a reduction on water jutsu and a reduction on weapons?

I think i'm not that the strongest, i'm only aloud one normal element.... I need a little more than just no handsigns.... lol im not worried, i'm pretty sure any other jutsu I currently have would be useless
