Maybe not seeing eye to eye with Archie seeing how his ability can make him a loose cannon and not as in line with order. I doubt Reim would dislike Archie but as I can see the order against unpredicability. Even if Reim likes to know and plan ahead his plans may not be what other think is proper or ...sane

That's what I got right now. But then again I'm at work and should not be doing this as much right now maybe ^__^
lol, Those would be interesting dynamics, right there; one of those, "I got nothing personal against you, but I don't like the way you handle things" type deals. Did I get that right? (Sorry, it's early and I haven't had my coffee yet, so my brain's still trying to boot up, lol.)

I just need some clarification: Does this mean that Hester would prefer to have Archie on board as a crew member (rather than a passenger)? I can actually see him as her butler, even though she doesn't see him that way. Just let me know, and I'll ask Trance to make the changes if necessary. 3nodding

On my phone so I'll just qoute every thing. Damn iPhone and it's nit picky autocorrect.
Anyhow, yeah you got that quite right. The result is good but the ways are too risky, crude, clumsy, folly, etc etc
Not just one part, the whole video is that way, no instruments at all in any part of it!
Gerald walked away, so he didn't see the slight blush flash across Fleur's cheeks. Genuine compliments are rare in her life, and even more rare are favorable remarks on anything other than her skills with the radios.
That's probably why she didn't actually hit him when he started to fiddle with her controls. She just blocked his access with a quiet "no." She met his eyes to make sure he understood she was very serious about that. Fiddling with the wrong knob at the wrong time could cost them precious information at just the wrong moment.
PS: By "part" I mean that aspect of the entire song. That "part" of the song. Not trying to indicate any one section of the song, but that entire concept being a "part" of the whole song. (And now I'm starting to confuse myself... emotion_eyebrow )
Well, so far she seems to be the only girl on the ship, and your profile picture would have me think "she's nice looking". So, I can see Gerald just spouting it out, thinking nothing of it, and walking off without even seeming concerned about the comment (or what implications it might imply). He's a rather forthright character, though he doesn't always tell someone everything and often times only gives information when asked. (Which can be annoying when something happens. I can actually see a conversation like this going, "Hey Captain. Were we expecting some friends?" "No. Why?" "Oh. No reason. We just happen to be having a ship following behind us." "..." )
I'd imagine a hand slap and a "don't touch that!" At least he hasn't been banned from the radio room/section, unlike the engine room (or whatever you want to call the thing that makes the ship float). Can you guess what may have happened there...? (Just for funny story sake, but probably would be true for backstory as well...)
Gerald is a little loony, but he's fully aware and intelligent. No need to treat him like a child. I mean, he's like, 17 years old. He's almost not a child anymore! rofl (Actually, making sure he knows is a good thing.)
I can see Gerald muttering a lot... I can see he's going to be... interesting to play. (Now if I can just get him to shut up in my head! He wants OUT... He's been all I've been able to think about, which can be rather entertaining when I'm at work for an eleven hour shift...)
Just remember, you can bribe Gerald to do just about anything with enough Cherry Pie... (A way to a man's heart... His stomach! emotion_omnomnomheart)

I know - I'm so excited to begin! Fleur wouldn't actually hit Gerald unless absolutely necessary. She's much less violent than your average pirate, and secretly much more tender-hearted. On the other hand, communication is her "thing" so she'd be sure he understood the limits of his welcome at her post.
Cherry pie is good. Fleur's weaknesses are ... well, she has them, but no one is close enough to her to know what they are yet. lol
Yes, I liked that picture, too. When I saw her, it really helped my whole characterization click.

He can start off as a passenger but then Hester realizes his potential and ask to higher him on board the ship. Or he could come aboard looking for a job, either way sounds good to me!

At present, George is 37 and has been a prisoner for a few years.
Fleur would definitely participate in a bid to rescue George. If they've worked together before, she would appreciate George's gift with fixing things, perhaps even learned a few tricks as a kid back in the day.
That would be great! I had been thinking the most vulnerable time would be after they docked at a port (like they take the prisoners or just George down for some reason and an attack happens). But all that can be worked out in during the actual rp. In the meantime, it would absolutely tickle my fancy if we planned some backstory between them. Maybe they worked together on a different ship in the past?

He starts out as a passenger, but throughout the voyage his knack for perfection comes through: he'd straighten out a painting or vase; fix table settings other than his own; or fix the flower arrangements--small things that people wouldn't really notice. Then one day, when he's dissatisfied with a pot of tea he ordered, he locates the kitchen and imposes by teaching the kitchen staff how to brew a proper cup of tea. How does it sound?

Hahaha, that sounds good. The kitchen staff can file a complaint and so then Hester will invite him to her office and discuss the issue thus finding out about his perfectionist ways that are very similar to hers. Then as she plans out battle tactics and what not he can pip in every now and then, making Hester realize his battle knowledge and advice very helpful.

I admit I've gotten a little confused about the history (already) leading up to where they are now. The Absolute Bearing used to be a military ship and now is a pirate ship, so I'm not sure where they've been pirates together before, but I'd love it if they were. George has so much to teach Fleur, who'd jump at the chance!
