Why did you even come here? You are beyond useless. No help. No wonder everyone else left you. No wonder HE left you.
If the wall had any sort of give, Sherry would have been clutching it between her fingers. The whisper was getting louder. The voice kept alternating between people that no longer lived, friends. Friends who should have encouraged her or been happy for her. Instead... instead they seemed content to bother her.
Armagnac was a gentle hiss in her mind.
The Whispers were not. Did you really think you were worth keeping? You had anything to offer? You are not strong enough to help anyone. You are not worth loving. Is it any wonder you've been left here to die?
"Jake?" She called out again. Anything to try and drown the voices. But her own voice seemed to not be more than a whisper. She needed to find him. She needed to find her way out.
They had a mission.
She just...wished the voices would stop.

The voice wasn't falling behind no matter how fast Jason tried to run. How could it keep up with him so easily?!
In his panic he forgot to keep track of where he was going, and with a loud THUMP he smacked face first into one of the walls, falling back onto the ground feeling very dazed

And then everything was dark.
Erebus didn't mind the dark. In fact, he was quite used to it, but the sudden lack of being able to see where he was going was a tad surprising. What was going on in this structure? And was everyone else alright?
The boil reached out to the walls that surrounded him, slowly maneuvering around via touch. It seemed as though he was making good progress... until a voice started to gargle and echo all around him.
Erebus stopped in his tracks, stiffening. It sounded like something threatening, even if he couldn't figure out exactly where it was coming from and what sort of creature was making the sound.
He had to get out of here.
EVENT 6: You hear a voice it only makes strange garbled noises. You cannot understand what it's saying but it sounds menacing. It gets worse the longer you linger in the room. Only you can hear them (though you may not realize it). Please do rp it out. This effect persists as long as you are in this corridor.

When Zascha entered the maze, he was afraid that the blindness he had encountered in the last place had come back. But slowly his eyes started to adjust. The red glow of Gothsmog's runes helped just a bit. Though it was still pretty dark.
He bumped into something hard, feeling it with one hand. "A wall..."
No duh.
Sighing lightly, he moved down the wall. Following it until it turned. To which he turned as well and continued to follow. "This seems to be like a maze or something. It could be small or it could be expansive. Oh man." Zascha wasn't good with mazes. One time he had taken his sisters to a corn maze and he had gotten lost for hours until finally he had decided to just run through the corn.
Unfortunately he couldn't do that here. These walls were solid.

Area 3 ---> Area 6 As he moved further along Zascha noticed a voice. At first it was quiet, very hushed. But as he went along it grew louder and much more familiar. Though it didn't sound anywhere near as friendly as it might have been. It was the voice of an old childhood friend. When he had left his home he had also left this friend behind. They had been close. Almost like brothers. Its all your fault they died you know. Now all your doing it traipsing around, doing nothing to solve what happened to them. You're such a loser. "Shut up! It wasn't my fault. I'm trying to do my best to figure it out and find...." Who are you talking to?You can't even figure out where your younger sister is. Why would anyone want to be around you, you bring nothing but horrible things upon those around you."I said shuuuuttt up!" Zascha growled as he tightened his grip on Gothsmog. But the voice didn't stop. It didn't shut up. And it was starting to drive Gothsmog crazy because she had no clue what the ******** was going on. Quote: Event 2 - Mocking Friend's Voice

He thought it was over once he didn't hear the menacing gargles of the voice that had plagued him.
And yet, as Erebus ventured forward, another voice interrupted him.
This time, it was that of a familiar voice. He knew this voice well, even if he hadn't heard it in a while. After all, it was that of his brother's; the oldest of the three siblings, Arthur.
"Arthur?" He whispered, voice cracking. What was his brother doing here, in all places?
Oh, Erebus. His oldest brother's voice said sadly. All alone. Your friends have abandoned you, haven't they?
What? "A-arthur?" He ventured, ears pricking as he tried to find out where the voice came from. What was going on?
After all, you were always the boring one.

At Armagnac's prodding Sherry stayed against the wall. It turned a time or two, and she stumbled more times than that. At some point she'd closed her eyes. It helped her feel a little more in control. Everywhere she went, the voices followed. Should have stayed a waitress. Should have stayed simple and out of the way. Should have settled for something that left you nearly content.She didn't know where Jake was. She didn't know where she was. She could hear scuffling, but the whispers drown that out. But no. You had to go and try. Search out adventure. Search out love. Beyond useless, though. No help to anyone. Not worth helping or keeping or loving. He brought you here to leave you. To forget about you. And this time pity won't make him return. They were persistent, the voices. Every step she took, they followed. No one is coming back for you. I don't even know why you tried. None of them would care for you like you care for them. No one will rescue you. But she kept moving. Every time she thought about stopping, about turning back, Armagnac would prod her forward. So Sherry pressed on. He certainly won't come for you. Not after what you've asked. Everyone has a limit. Better leave you here than watch you cry about being rejected again.

Area 6 ---> Area 10 The voice just wouldn't stop, even if he covered his ears he could still hear the mocking tone. The harsh words. Zascha slumped against the wall, how could his friend say all these things? How could he be so cruel? They were such good friends, he never know this was how he felt. Look at you. You're pathetic. You should have died back there. If not by that monster then you should have slit your own throat. At least then the world would be rid of one less stupid person. You should do it now. Its not too late. Its so...easy....His bangs had fallen over his eyes as he stood there, his head lowered. Zascha could feel his knees buckling. He glanced at Gothsmog's blade through the darkness. He moved forward cautiously , but not cautiously enough... He tripped, stumbled and fell and found himself turned around. This was, he was sure of it, just where he had left. The fact he had become so easily turned around made him feel deeply ashamed. He told himself that were he less anxious -he would have been fine. Could he have seen the great pumpkin sun or moon, he would have been fine...
That was all, he wasn't -so- very foolish as to be lost because he tripped over some small jut, or depression in the floor. Now he just needed to convince himself of that fact.

Area 10 ---> Area 11 It was bad enough with his friend's voice mocking him, but now...now he could hear his own voice. But his lips weren't moving? That dude is right, you are such a loser. You can't do anything right. You couldn't even SAVE them. What right do you have to be here while they rot in the ground? "No shut up!" Dropping Gothsmog, she returned to her dormant state. The darkness engulfing him fully now as Zascha slumped to his knees. Covering his ears with his hands and shutting his eyes tight. Well damn, now you'll have to find another way."No its not true!" On his hands and knees now, Zascha began to crawl slowly. His shoulder pushed against the wall. It wasn't true. It wasn't his fault. Nothing they said was right! He had to get out of here! Zascha pull yourself together! Gothsmog tried to talk sense to him. To get him to snap out of it. But her voice was muffled over the sound of the two voices taunting him. Arthur's voice, or whatever that was able to mimic his brother's exact intonation, was slowly fading, as he pushed himself forward.
He had experiences with such dopplegangers before.
It didn't mean it hurt less.

Rubbing his sore head, Jason did his best to ignore the sinister voice and just focus on finding a way out of here, as well as not screaming his lungs out and inadvertently alert any other evil voices to his presence.

As he moved onto the next area, the voices finally faded. For a moment Zascha stared at the ground beneath his hands barely able to see it in the darkness. What was he doing?
Blinking a few times he finally pushed himself up off the ground. Placing a hand on the nearby wall to balance himself. He felt exhausted but relieved all at the same time.
Are you better now you big cry baby?
Clearing his throat. "Yes. Lets keep moving before anything else decides to happen and I end up rocking back and forth in a corner."
Are you sure you're alright?
"I am."
She didn't believe him completely.

Onward she went. Slowly, taking her time. Part of her wanted to cry. She hated being alone in the dark.
But it's what you deserve. Running off to save the world, useless little girl.
One step, then another. Slowly making her way along the wall. Stumbling at every corner. Swallowing her fear as best she could.
You chose the wrong life. You chose the wrong love. You are just getting what you deserve. Finally.
It was getting harder to block out the voices, even with Armagnac's constant rumbles in her mind.

Apparently he was every bit as bad at this as he feared, he could swear that the floor had slid under his feet that time... Normally he would have thought that a very silly concept -but the dreams he'd had... He'd even dreamed of Alice and she seemed so awfully real.
Maybe the floor had shifted under his feet, what was he going to do if he was trapped in one place??
His feathers ruffled at the thought and he set forth again, contemplating the meaning of insanity... Wasn't it something about, repeating an action and hoping for different results? Or was it something about stone? He thought it might very well be both.
