"I wonder how many times we can try," Zin said with a laugh. "Well, I won't give up until I pop one!" She seized another dart and tossed it, hoping that it would take her words as inspiration and actually go where she wanted it to go this time.

The red balloon burst with a satisfying pop. "Hooray!" Zin exclaimed. She looked at the list of prizes available and happily selected the jump rope. "It has blue handles!" she said to Lenore, holding it up to her hair so the younger girl could compare.

"Heh, well... If you're finished, I'm finished," she said, folding her new jump rope in half and slinging it over her shoulder. "We can try another booth if you want?" She was ready to go booth-hopping if Lenore was up for it! They might as well enjoy as many of the festivities while they could!

"I don't really have any, either," Zin admitted, although she refrained from mentioning that she'd blown almost all of it at the taste-testing booth. "I'm not sure what other ones are free... I guess we could hang around here a bit longer," she said, her mouth curling into a smile. "If we have unlimited tries, we could get all the prizes." She laughed. "I don't know what I would do with them, though. I'm sure we'll get bored before then, too." She snagged a dart and threw it at random toward the balloons.

"Hmm... Good point! Maybe this is another kind of training!" Zin replied. With that in mind, she got serious about throwing the darts again. She grabbed another one and briefly wondered how many they had lying around, and when they would have to stop to retrieve the ones that they'd already thrown. She pushed those thoughts away as she carefully aimed and flicked her wrist.

"Ah... I can't seem to get the hang of it," she said when the dart bounced off the board and onto the ground.

"I won't give up!" Zin promised the air. She seized the next dart and let it fly. The balloon popped and Zin's face lit up.

"Well, it looks like it's starting to get late..." Zin said, looking up at the sky. "Guess I'd better head back. I'll see you tomorrow, right?" she asked with a smile. She lifted her hand to give a little wave, but thought better of it and stepped forward to hug Lenore instead. She gave a light squeeze before letting go, smiling more widely. "This was fun!"

Preacher was still in a foul mood from yesterday. She couldn't afford another blow-up. Everything, of course, got back to Tinker and she had been forced to sleep out on the street last night. It wasn't bad, really, but she had gotten used to her little corner. He hadn't beaten her again or anything - even Tinker knew that a broken thief is worse than no thief. She did, however, need to make up for her transgressions. To that end, she had already lifted a shiny pocket watch from a recruit.

But, that wasn't enough to lift her foul mood. Grumbling she grabbed a handful of darts. Her first went wide, stabbing deeply into the boards between the balloons. "s**t," she grumbled.
