((Ethiriel -> Seating; Zul, Cesc, Melisande, Wasa))
Ethiriel meant no rudeness by her greeting – her words were small and nearly timid since the switch and she felt strange around new humans. It wasn’t that she thought that she would get tossed around again, but she couldn’t quite explain it. It was an odd feeling.
The stag’s gushings over herself and Zul toward Wasa would have made her stomach drop had she one. She wouldn’t consider herself on a high pedestal at all, but it warmed her heart to at least know that she meant something to Cesc – and Zul and Melisande, for that matter. She was getting better, starting to at least attempt to come back out of her shell, but it was a slow and awkward process; she did her best to look as dignified as possible at all times.
It was difficult.
The feeling of Zul’s exploration via the bead caught her attention finally, her eyes drifting to her silver bracelets. She opened her fingers and turned her palm upward, examining it by touch before bringing it closer to her face. Because of its light, it was a bit easier to make out at this distance but it was still no match for Zul’s or her own decorations. Ethiriel gingerly handed it back to Cesc with a ghost of a smile before dropping her hand back onto her companion’s arm.
”Indeed, I do hope that you have a wonderful time,” she said, her voice timid and barely over a whisper as if they were talking inside in privacy. Ethiriel lifted her chin at Melisande’s gentle touch, losing her breath for just a moment before remembering her manners and offering the same, gentle kiss on the Sigel’s presented cheek.
She squeezed Zul’s hand in return, glancing at his silver earrings.

[[ Domevlo --> Crafts Table | Xiu & Lala ]]
"Bookstore? Domo has not been there. Directions are required from Xiu before one can visit." He informed but gave a happy nod in return, "Domo will most definitely visit. Books are sort of a thing for the guardian Thanatos. He likes to read, Domo might purchase some for present." This was good, kill two birds with one stone. Gliding with purpose along side the sigel, Domo continued to feed from the lead alloy that was slowly dissolving in his hands. The other snacks he had taken from the table had already been absorbed into his body, providing much needed nourishment. As they moved away from the food table and toward the crafts table, Domo noticed that the other occupants had slowly made their way elsewhere. With a sigh he looked upon the sigel and back to the table noting his guardian's little sister was still hard at work folding paper crafts. With an excited lithe to his voice he pointed the young girl out. "That one is Domo's. She's really nice and pretty, lives with Domo and Thanatos now!" Turning to Lala he waved the girl down. "Lala! You meet with Domo's friend Xiu yes?"
The girl in question was making yet another paper creation when she heard her name called. Looking up she saw Domo and another perhaps older Raevan if having more of a torso were any indication. These Raevan's were fascinating creatures no doubt. Standing to her feet she dusted off her skirts. "I wouldn't dream of turning your friend down, little knight." Turning her gaze to Xiu she gave a cute little curtsy. "Nice to meet you friend, I'm LaMarie Lauren but please call me Lala."

[[ Thanatos -- Bonfire | Melanie ]]
He gave a curt nod as he swallowed down another portion of his meal. Taking another drink of his beer he allowed himself to speak, "Yes I actually signed up to all of them. It should be fairly interesting considering I haven't played a few of those games since I was a kid. Brings back some pleasant memories." He poked at his mac n' cheese eying Mel under the fringe of his hair. "I can't remember the last time I spoke to someone for so long and didn't get bored." He scratched the bridge of his nose giving a sheepish grin. "I'm going to hate myself for this but since we already played 21 questions, mind indulging me in one more silly game? Ya up for a round of truth or dare?"

((Pasha -Zul, Eth, Wasa, Cesc))
Pasha's enthusiasm subsided a bit at Zul's cool response. She took a closer look at the other Sigel, blue eyes searching his for a moment. "Are you sure you two don't want to come?"
The Muse's soft question trailed off, her arm slipping free so she could smooth her skirt out of habit. Perhaps she was making Eth feel left out? That would be in poor form, but she'd already signed up with Cesc. She glanced to Wasa for a moment, and her smile flickered back to life as she noted the Artist nibbling at her corn. Everyone was their own person…she couldn't expect the Demon to be as excited as she was about everything. Her expression was bright again by the time she looked back to Zul.
"If you have something else in mind, I'd love to try that, as well." Give the Muse the remote, and she got a little over enthusiastic picking the station…but if there was something else Zul would like to do, she would gladly participate. He knew Eth better than she, and any activity that involved the all of them sounded better than not!

( Axel -> Food Tables / Cruz & Eku ))
“I’ll say hello then she comes out then, I feel like I haven’t seen you guys in ages.” Which was kind of true considering Isobel hadn’t even been born when she’d first met Anita and Cruz. Cruz’s vocabulary had gotten quite good too and that made Axel smile. “Oh yes I’ve received one, I read it and then handed it to Isobel.” The guardian was pretty sure her Frei hadn’t bothered to read the pamphlet and would come back to Axel to figure out what she needed to know without having to read. Axel still couldn’t get Isobel to read on her own, the Frei had no interest in it at all.
Axel offered the other Raevan a smile and then turned when she heard her name and Isobel touched her. “Oh you’re back already?” Axel would wait until Cruz had introduced the other Raevan before doing the same with Isobel. “There’s someone I’d like you to meet.” She said in a quieter voice.
-------------------------- (( Isobel -> Food Tables / Cruz & Eku ))
“It’s a pleasure to meet you both.” Isobel inclined her body slightly in her form of a bow. Revontulet had the most amazing hair Isobel had ever seen, she wanted to reach out to play with it. She could pretty much hear Axel in the background telling her not to be rude so she clasp her hands in front of herself. For Tatiana, Isobel loved the small detailing on the Frei’s shirt and at the end of her ribbon. Finally she was meeting some other Raevans without the help of Axel and when the Chameleon turned to look at her guardian she stared.
How was it that Axel was now talking not to only one but two Frei’s and there was that man with the fancy words she’d met at the last party. “If you’ll excuse me, I’ll be right back.” Isobel floated back to her guardian’s side touching her arm as she arrived. “Axel.”

(( Cruz: Food tables w/ Axel, Ekundayo, Isobel ))
The croc smiled pleasantly at Axel and nodded. It had certainly been a long time since they'd last seen each other, Cruz's clearest memory being the hedge maze. Had that truly been the last time? Perhaps he'd seen her in passing at some other function, like the Christmas party a few months back. At any rate, it was entirely too long and his rune was pulsing with delight at getting to remedy the situation.
At the news of her already receiving a pamphlet, Cruz tucked them back away. As far as he could tell, it was a good thing if people he checked on didn't need them. If they already had them that meant Anita or Duncan had already passed enough out, that was fine.
”Iso-bel,” Cruz intoned curiously, though as soon as he did he heard his name not far off. Dayo's presence brightened his features immensely and the croc rose an inch or so further from the ground. ”Hello,” he purred low, stretching his arms out in offering of a hug to the feathery frei. His rune pulsed even more excitedly, fading in and out of its glow with a quick and steady rhythm. ”Good to see you.”
Before his greeting could be properly finished, another frei drifted close and touched Axel's arm with understood familiarity. Cruz gently rested a hand between Ekundayo's wings and turned her toward Axel and Isobel, offering both a kind and toothy smile.
” 'Kundayo, this is Ms. Axel,” he gestured with the pamphlets to the human woman, then brought the small collection in front of Dayo for her to pluck one, ”She's very nice.”. The croc's gaze shifted to the colorful frei, his eyes alight with curiosity. ”Isobel?” he asked, hope clear in his voice, ”I'm Cruz.”

((Wasa - Seating | Pasha Cesc Zul and Eth))
Wasa's eyes flitted between the demon and the muse, her glances obscured by the green glass of her spectacles. It seemed that she wasn't the only one feeling a little tension in the gathering. She sped up her eating, not wanting to make things awkward for either pair by being either the reason that Pasha and Cesc lingered or unwelcome company to Zul and Eth.
"I signed up for some of the games earlier. I'm curious how many others have signed up since." She shared her gaze with both parties, turning her head back and forth between sentences. "I haven't been to a party with games like this in ages! Well, assuming the maze doesn't count." Hard to think of it as a game when it lead to such a life changing turn.

(( Zul → Seating with Ethiriel, Cesc, Melisande, Wasa ))
Glancing to the Frei at his side, he couldn't help but try to give her a reassuring smile, knowing that it would go unseen anyway. "Perhaps next time, we'll look into the rules and see if we can't figure out how to make it work for you, Ethiriel." Zul was sure there was a way to include the Frei, but he wasn't sure she wanted to partake anymore than he did.
Turning back to the Muse, his attention was momentarily swallowed by the hold of her eyes. The very idea of letting her go without his company was almost appalling, but he had to remind himself she'd come in the company of another, and he was not required for her to enjoy herself. The demon found himself at a sort of internal war with his possessiveness of the other Sigel. "We'll be fine," he tried to assure the Muse in a way he could not with Ethiriel, his smile intact. "I've more a mind to catch up with friends than anything. I know the party is with intent for fun, but...this is what makes me happy." Being with his loved ones, their company...he didn't need games to enjoy himself. He played enough games when he was alone, every sleepless night.
Tilting his tri-horned head, he regarded the nervous human for a moment. "Lab-planned activities rarely pan out the way they are intended." One side of his smile hiked higher than the other, his dry sense of humor showing. Glancing to Cesc as well, he bowed his head. "Luckily this is no such thing. While I welcome the company of a friend of my - friends," there was just a slight pause in the word, "I would not keep you from your enjoyment. Please, if you've games to attend, enjoy yourselves. Ethiriel and I will be about and receive you upon your triumphant return."

(( Anita: Kitchen w/ Henry, Ronan, Mordekai → Outside/Seating Area w/ Zul, Ethiriel, ??? ))
With Mordekai stepping out fetch some seasoning for Ronan's crabs, Anita popped a lid on the bucket and set it somewhere secure so the critters wouldn't claw their way out. Henry was occupied grilling the hot dogs he brought, which didn't take long overall, while Ronan busied himself cleaning the fish. She rooted around and managed to find an empty cooler for the fish to sit in with some ice until Mordekai got back from his short trip. Once the dogs were finished, Anita ushered Henry outside with them and directed him to a good spot on one of the food tables. The fish took a bit longer than just cooking a few packs of franks but Anita was still impressed by the speed and skill Ronan used; it was definitely something he'd practiced.
Finally finished, Anita explained that she wanted to wait for Mordekai to come back before going ahead and cooking anymore, letting Ronan out of the kitchen and back into the crowd. If he wanted to help cook the fish she'd call him back in. She was also hoping to get out of the kitchen herself. There was a lot to do and so many people to keep up with. Anita hadn't realized how complicated hosting these functions were, even for what could generally be considered a small crowd.
Once everyone was cleared out, herself included, Anita sighed with relief. It was nice to be in the fresh air again. She took a quick survey of the area, spotting Cruz with Axel and a couple raevans she didn't recognize at a glance. With Henry here, though, that hopefully meant Ethiriel was too – after all, that was the whole reason she'd extended the invitation to him. It wouldn't have taken long to spot the leafy frei if she wore any familiar colors but the dark blue caused her to double-take. What's more, her companion didn't look at all familiar from the back until she noticed his hair. And horns.
”Zul?” Anita murmured, taking a few quick steps closer, ”Zul!”
Smile clear in her voice, Anita hurried over to the smoky sigel and his companions. Too fixated on Zul and Ethiriel at first to really get a look at who else was gathered, she merely offered a quiet apology as she neared them.
”Hey, man! Sorry to interrupt-- ah-- Ethiriel? Hey, it's Anita. How you doin', sweet leaf?”

(( Laz : Seating near Crawfish table | Cam ))
He had always been kind of fascinated by wars and most of the stories that he had read or watched from TV. Although he doesn't have the intention to be directly phisycally involved in one, they have enough of their own drama to handle as is.
Red eyes widen at the question about the ribbons. He supposed it's only fair that he answer it, since Cam did answered his question on the phantom limb after all. "Well, I can't really feel a whole lot from the ribbons, unlike skin. I guess it's kind of like hair or fingernail? It's like it's part of your body, you can feel when it brushed against something, or when it's trailing on the ground. But I don't really feel pain, coldness or other sensories like the skin does." That was a little longer than expected, but he hoped that Cam could understand.
Lazarus smiled gratefully when Cam showed him how to eat the claws. As he sucked out the meat from within, he realized that he felt kind of full already. As he should! The Sigel was mildly surprised at the pile of crawfish shells piled before him. He and Cam had ate up ten, maybe fifteen crawdads? He just ate and ate as they chat, and didn't really paid much attention. As he added the claw's shell to the pile, he felt a gurgling sensation came up his throat and he let out a loud burp.
Feeling embarrassed, his face was a slightly darker shade and he covered his mouth. "I'm sorry." He chuckled softly. "I have to excuse myself a bit, I want to grab some mango juice from inside. Do you want some? Or more beer and crawfish?" He figured he should offer as he began to get up.

((Trox - Shep [roll] || Cam - Laz [roll] | Tatiana - Luka, Cam))
"They're nothing like Kids. The team of tykes I coach? Those guys are right peanuts," Harrison smirked and leaned back sipping his drink, "Raevans? Definitely not kids... Although some I question their maturity- I mean like anyone, human or raevan. That, however is my age showing through. Getting too old for this."
Harrison leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees and glancing over at Tatiana who looked a bit lost, fingers picking at her sundress. He wanted to beckon her over- take her under his proverbial wing but, this was a social time. Old man can't be cramping his raevan's style either. He instead leaned down, chucking a shell on the pile and trained his eyes back on Shepard.
"That sounds good though. Strong players and players in it for fun," Troxel's face darkened and he scrunched his nose and eyes a bit at the mention of the jungle- his first interaction with an 'organized' lab event, was also the first time he ever actively wanted to reign judicial terror over noncompliance to specific regulations regarding missing persons... He understood the methodology of keeping it out of federal hands given the creature that had made itself apparent at the end. However, there were many things that were not ok. He decided to bite his tongue on that one but the general unamused stance and distaste was apparent.
"Yeah, I had that pleasure of a field trip," He said sarcastically, raising a brow, "Better than Columbia. And a ******** ton better than the desert. Unfortunately I'm all too familiar with that scenario."
---
Cam watched the sigel a bit nervously. It honestly wasn't like the medic to be overly forthcoming about the events that lead to him losing his limb. This time he wasn't called a baby killer, no scathing looks. Just... the phantom limb question. He gave a small and nervous smile before slowly tilting his head, nibbling on crawdad now.
"H'kin unnerstan' that. No blood, no nerve endin's, no synapses connectin' it. So y'feel everythin' as an external sensor. Like a whisker," He gave a large grin, looking for confirmation of his claim. His faced changed immediately, eyes widening a bit and focusing on a spot just to the left of Lazarus. He should get a cat.
It was then that Lazarus moved that Cam was jumped out of his sudden distracting thought. Oh. oh oh. He bit his bottom lip and furrowed his brow, patting his leg with the beginnings of a smile.
"Oh, a'righ'~ I don' think h'll be movin' for a bit with th... well," He rubbed his thigh a bit and gave a tiny shrug, "I'm se' with dis beer an' dese crawdads f'now. thank y'though'."
---
Tatiana smiled softly, looking around the room with slight trepidation. Revontulet looked hurried, checking the time and mentioned something about needing something. Maybe she had prior engagements? She was polite enough about it. Tatiana felt a little lonely, suddenly the one person she'd felt unbridled around was gone. She couldn't go back to Troxel, she was here to meet raevans. So she tilted her chin a bit delicately and regarded Luka.
"I think my Uncle needs me," Tatiana said to Luka with a growing smile. Besides, she had spied Cam speaking to a larger raevan- the type with a stomach. She wobbled backwards, looking very off axis and motioned over to Cam sitting with his beer.
"You can come meet him if you want! He's tiny for a human," She flashed a large grin and managed to not look completely intoxicated as she hobbled over to Camille. A large smile on her face.
"Hey uncle Cam... you ok? Is your leg bothering you?"
"Oh hey lil' duck." Cam raised his brows regarding the unstable Frei, " 's all fine, needed t'sit."

((Cesc --> Wasa, Anita, Zul, Eth, Melisande; Shep --> Trox | roll for food!))
Cesc was busy taking the last pinch of carrot cake, listening to his friends speak, when he could not help but let out a faint laugh. He covered his mouth, conscious of being impolite, and let his eyes do the laughing for him.
"The Maze!" he said with some fondness. It had been rough going then but ever since the jungle, the maze felt more and more like pie. And he'd gotten so many friends, so many fond memories, from that garden party. "I remember it well -- I saw you there, Wasa -- and a unicorn in the maze. It was my first meeting with so many." He smiled a broad smile at Melisande and pantomimed straightening a tie.
He turned to Zul, about to continue, when a dark-haired girl in pigtails darted through, eager for his attention. He recognized her from earlier, and from the jungle. Sweet leaf, she called Ethiriel.
"What a charming nickname," he commented, pleased.
* * *
Shepard's expression twisted slightly, and he looked at Troxel with some respect. His own displeasure was mirrored in the older man's expression. "I'm glad they had someone there who'd been through some s**t," he said, shaking his head. "But if you ask me, they had way too few of your type. My guy, Cesc -- the one with the antlers, over there -- he came back a bloody mess. He found the doctor, y'know, but when I saw him I wasn't too sure it was worth it."
He held up a hand. "Not to take anything away from the doctor. Just felt like too close a call, you know?"
The Aussie sighed, but tried to buoy his mood. "Y'taking care of someone here, yourself?"

((Pasha | Seating Area -> Games))
The Muse had the grace to blush as Cesc pantomimed straightening a tie, and she shook her head with silent laughter. The fact that she'd mistaken him as the help the first time they met would follow her always! Her smile faded, though, as a familiar voice called over the small gathering.
As Anita approached, Pasha turned slightly to one side, tucking her wings in tight. To most, it looked like a shy gesture, but Rivener's teachings had stuck with the Muse. She inclined her head to Zul and Eth, murmuring a parting before drifting back from the circle. Cesc and Wasa would find her at the games, when they wished.
Her wings were still tight against her body when she passed Laz, who seemed to be heading into the main building. Melisande smiled, though her mind was still on Anita. She'd given the woman her space…but this was twice she'd been forced to excuse herself because of the human's approach.
"Laz…are you doing okay?"

(( Zul → Seating with Ethiriel, Cesc, Wasa, Anita ))
At the sound of Anita's voice, the demon turned almost immediately, delicately bringing Ethiriel with him in the gesture. Zul's expression lit considerably and, with a gentle, "A moment, Ethiriel?," he disentangled their arms and instead held the Frei's hand for a moment, freeing him to greet the human. And greet her, he did, twining his free arm around her shoulders in a friendly embrace, gently nosing into her wild dark hair and pressing a platonic kiss to her cheek. "My'nita," he combined the words in his joy to see her, letting her go with a brief squeeze of her shoulder. Settling back at Ethiriel's side, he again retook her arm against his own, threading their fingers together on his forearm in apology for having let her go for that time.
Like Cesc, he wore an amused expression at the nickname coined, nodding his agreement to the stag's comment. "Agreed. I may have to borrow that, if Ethiriel doesn't mind." The demon chuckled low, hardly enough for even the Frei near him to hear. Zul turned to glance at Melisande, but found the Sigel was absent. He was surprised she was just suddenly...gone, but she did mention the games. Setting aside his feelings on the matter, he tipped his head to the remaining folk. "I see you've met the lovely Ethiriel. Have you met Rhedefre?" His blue eyes turned to the stag in question. "He is one of the lights of my days." And certainly not to be rude, the demon bowed his head to the other human in their midst. "And this is Wasa, a friend of Melisande, if you know her. Cesc, Wasa, this is Anita, a most wondrous woman who is the caretaker of Cruz, if you've met him. I've known her since I was a Frei and like to think I'm partly related by association to his creation." It was vague, but he smiled all the same, a slight mischievous glint in his eye.

((Ethiriel -> seating; Zul, Melisande, Cesc, Anita, Wasa))
”No, but you do have my thanks,” Ethiriel directed at Melisande, her voice gentle in assurance. Even if she were able to see and properly enjoy the festivities, her spirits were far from lifted enough to enjoy. However, she did fault neither the stag nor the muse for enjoying themselves. They were allowed to have fun, which was what this party was for to begin with. She did, however, feel a slight ping of guilt over Zul not taking part, even with his own dismissive comments.
”I do hope you enjoy your games as well, Miss Wasa.” said the Frei, though she hardly knew the human as it was.
Ethiriel did her best to smile for her demonic companion, his best attempts at hospitality certainly doing her heart good. ”It is quite all right, Zul. I am most content staying here with our current company,” she explained, even if she felt strangely apprehensive. Though she liked all of their surrounding companions, she couldn’t help but feel a little overwhelmed in her façade. ”Zul is correct, we shall be here when you have fully enjoyed the festivities. Your concern is well received.”
Anita’s was caught, recognizing both her intended target’s handle as well as recognizing the woman’s voice. Even if she hadn’t been mentioned until arrival, Ethiriel offered a small bow as Zul’s hand lightly trailed down to meet hers.
Sweet Leaf, she said; the nickname hardly registering with Ethiriel, though said alongside her own name, until both male members of their immediate party drew attention from it. A nickname, how novel. Upon each of their gushings, Ethiriel attempted a smile. ”If that is what you wish, Zul. You are all welcomed to it.
“I am… well, Miss Anita. Thank you for asking,” she said. A blush crept across her tanned cheeks as Zul continued with his compliments.
