Amphi tried again...it was kind of chilly in here now...
Shik almost crashed in moments later. Somebody had left a window open in the cafe . . . But there was something off about the executioner.
Namely that he was grinning like a fool and licking his fingers of some poor gnome's blood. He'd live as would his several companions (probably).
"So quick to show them the prize," Shik murmured, reaching over Shaheen's shoulder to try and pry the bottle from her before someone got ideas. "Discretion for once would have been better."They could have it all to themselves, gods.
But at least the group received something other than a stoic grunt, which was what would have normally happened: in fact, it was a smile. A baring teeth version, but a smile nevertheless.

She'd been about to turn to Lottie to impart some wisdom when she heard her name in stereo. Augh. Those dolls. Well, at least they were helping this time.
"This boil said something that must have seriously offended this ghoul, for she responded with violence." Lottie, however, had done nothing that prompted immediate reprimands; tattling and egging on wasn't a chargeable offence. "You should dance with them." Yes. Dance with them, and leave her alone. Brilliant. The Patchwork then turned towards the Ghost.
"I don't blame you, Gene. I'm sorry the boil was rude." Amrita replied softly. Undeads often got a lot of slack as well, and she understood wanting to defend your specie from the snot nosed creatures who saw them as unworthy. She leaned in closer, to whisper to the ghoul as if sharing a secret. "But next time, make sure there are no witnesses." And make him pay, but that was left unsaid.

She stood by Amrita for a while, nodding her head at the ghoul. He had been very rude, but "It's not your fault or mine. I suppose some creeple are just like that." She shrugged, having cooled down sufficiently enough for rational thinking. She gave a giggle at Amrita's admonition, winking at her.
Next time, she might just make the punk dissipate. "Thanks so much, dear. Would you mind if I tagged along with you? I'm, er... a little alone tonight."

Invictus gave Soren a sharp look for his demands - a very veiled one, however, before he looked to Alex and said - "We don't require food, we have come for the sake of...curiosity." Though it didn't sound like he was actually curious about anything, so that was a mystery amongst mysteries.
As well as the look he gave Mengyao, which was a sort of 'making sure your lady doesn't run off with another stallion?' sort of gaze before the appearance of another of the clans was brought to his attention.
Or rather their teeth were (did they brush? Ew). Invictus returned that 'smile' with a show of his own teeth - which was more facial effort than he gave most thus had an extremely unsettling vibe about it.

Tomoko looked to Marosa, as if trying to decide if she'd seen the boil in class or elsewhere before deciding it didn't matter. She offered him a smile none the less as she continued to hold onto Erebus.
"I see! Goodness, if he took much longer I'd have been preparing the search parties. You don't leave a beautiful lady like miss Yaya here waiting," Tomoko didn't sound like she was scolding, but teasing instead as she looked back from Yaya to Marosa again before looking to Erebus, "Right?"
Because Tomoko totally knew how Erebus handled pretty ladies.

The booth on the right side of the stage, the one opposite Ren's DJ booth, was suddenly occupied. Amrita stood there for a moment or two, trying to figure out the microphone in her backward hands. The PA system gave a very sudden screech as she apparently figured it out.
"Well, now that everyone's awake..." The patchwork laughed sheepishly into the microphone. "That was fun. Okay! Thank you all so much for coming, it's so great to have you here with us to say goodbye to this year and ring in the next." She sounded entirely sincere, and she was, despite still being a little nervous when it came to public speaking. Especially public speaking from a booth on a stage. "There's still a few hours to go before the pumpkin drops in Halloweentown square, but don't worry - we've got a couple small games planned, if you'd like to participate. If not, there's always the video games in the corner, or the spinner wheel, which is to my left here." She nodded towards it from where she stood.
"And food, always food. We'd like to thank the Baking Clubs here at Amityville for the lovely spread, and for helping us make the traditional New Years Sweetbread!" She gave a gesture towards the doors as several students came in, carrying platters of bread to place on both food tables. "-- For those of you who remember Mort's baking skills, I assure you that we banned him from the kitchen." It was apparently very important that she expressed this.
"Anyway. Sweetbread. Not only delicious -" Or so I'm told was muttered briefly; being undead had its downsides. Including, in her case, a total lack of tastebuds. "- but this particular bread has something special hidden in some of the pieces. It's said that if you're lucky enough to find the bread with the treasure, you'll have great luck in the new year! Wouldn't that be great? You can have as many as you like, but for those of you with, er, larger apetites, please try to limit yourself so everyone has a chance for some good luck. Just remember - you have to actually eat the bread in order for it to work." They were clearly working on fortune cookie rules for this game, special item or no.
"Alright - I'll let you get back to your mingling. Please don't hesitate to come say hi or put your wish on the wishing tree here, and please feel free to go and request a song from our amazing DJ, Ren! Good luck~" The microphone was switched off, and Amrita disappeared from the booth not too long after that.

"We are cute!" one answered Cormick happily. "So are you~ And youuu~" it added to Lottie.
"It's okay to make a mistake~" said the other. "Everything's forgiven before the new year! And Christmas Cheer, too!!"
"Come on, let's dance~! A trio of cuties for all to seeeeeeee~" Its sleevey arms shot up to take the demon's and reaper's hands, trying to pull them to the dance floor with surprising strength for something that only reached up to most people's knees. Then again, that grip was rather mechanical.
The remaining doll waved them off and bounced over to take Gene's hand instead. "Nobody can be alone tonight! It's New Years Eve!" it proclaimed. "And you are cute too! Let's be cute together."
Look, Mort hadn't really had time to tamper with its list of known words okay . . .
Mengyao wasn't entirely stealthy with his arrival, so, when the soft hand rested on her shoulder, she turned to smile up at him, glad to see that the nobleman had taken time out of his normally busy schedule to entertain others, (and students).
Lifting a hand to softly pat the ashen hand that rested, she turned back to Invictus, giving him a small little grin also. "I would assume it was not, but it is nice to just enjoy the little things." She stated lightly, giving a little shrug. "A bit out of the normal does not hurt sometimes." Which she knew best, being a bit of a busy body, with a mean streak of curiosity.
Admittedly, she couldn't help but feel that Soren was a little brash to the poor student, and she gave him a little soft look, lightly waving a soft white hand. "It is a pleasurable event - it appears many have come out for the turning of the year." She murmured to him contently, before Neru - and the arrival of Shaheen took her attention away again, giving a laugh at the bottles in her hands.
"It appears you have rid the poor youths of their excitement, Shaheen." She piped up lightly, just happy to see the taller woman, even if she was getting in to trouble all over again. Shaheen was always lively, and it made her want to feel more and more bold. "I would not want to separate the tall guardian from his apple supplies," she admitted, a small grimace showing on her face for a very short moment at the thought of the little spar they had recently, before subconsciously leaning back in to the arm around her back.
"I suppose we will have to think of some kind of wish, also, would we not? Since we're . . . here for the sake of curiosity, as his Highness stated."
Though, Cider would be nice.
Maybe.
Incidentally, she totally realized that Aeron and Shikoba were there. There were a lot more horsemen now than she realized where here a few minutes ago. It was starting to get difficult in conversing with them all. It was a rather nice pony party.

Crazy hair was calling Brenley 'B-Ren'...
So she knew him. And he knew her. Huh. How many people had Brenley gotten to know since they had last talked to each other? Serafina didn't exactly have that many more people that she knew now compared to then, but that didn't seem to be the case for Bren. Wasn't he the shy one? Why was she failing at this making friends thing more than he was? Serafina stopped her walking for a second in thought, but was thankful to go back to moving towards the tree.
Why was she dwelling on this? There was no point in getting jealous; she was positively amazing and people would flock to her as soon as they saw that! Obviously.
Arriving at the tree made Serafina giddy, the light returning to her eyes. There weren't terribly many little pieces of paper on the leafless tree yet, but at the same time, there were enough. All these little hidden secrets...
When Brenley asked what she wanted to do, she laughed. "What do you think?~"
If that didn't make her answer obvious, perhaps the way she was pacing around the tree now would have been. Quietly, she added to prior statements, "Maybe there's some we can see without touching the tree."
