Sailor Psyche was obviously confused on how to react when Nysa took her hand and laid a kiss upon her white glove. The first thing she did was immediately pull her hand away, a red tint forming over her cheeks as she held her hand in the midair. The options were simple: She could slap him, or she could punch him. Fortunately for Nysa, she didn't have a chance to do either before the next attack wave came. Before anything could hit her or she could hit him, the attack hit Nysa. Her body leaning toward him with her hand settling on his shoulder, she leaned into him.

"Nysa, Knight of Neptune, O.K?" She called out with confusion, concerned by his pained hiss. Not soon after her voice echoed around them, the attack came and hit her as well. It had come up behind her, literally, striking her in the back. The sudden force and the pain caused her to cry out, falling forward onto her hands and knees as she felt the cloth of her fuku that covered her back and the top of her back bow sizzle away from the burn. Now exposed to the world, her skin burned under the cool breeze as the attack burned into her flesh before diminishing.

"RAINBOWFACE! Why?" She called out in pain, gripping the ground with her hands. Why did her Captain attack her? Was her shadow clone back? Sailor Psyche didn't know and with her recovering vision she looked around to discover that Sailor Iris didn't seem to be in sight. She tried to stand up but instead she found herself struggling to her feet.

As the magic dissipated, the lad found himself testing the arm that had been burned. He opened and closed his hand, and moved the limb around in a rolling motion.

Well, this is not good...

It was rather unfortunate it was his preferred arm when it came to fencing. However, rather than sulk about the situation, he checked upon the girl who had just screeched out in her own pain.

"...Are you okay, Miss Psyche?" He reached out to her with his injured arm's hand, offering to help her get up.

With his uninjured side, he pulled his weapon from its sheath. The grip was definitely designed for his other hand, but he somehow managed to squeeze his fingers into the shell guard.

His vision seemed to be clearing out quite a bit, since he was clearly able to see a shade spring at Athene. With that and his awkwardly placed weapon, he lashed out to swipe at the attacking shade.

"Lieutenant Amethyst." Maybe not all Knights were as menacing and unreasonable as Luxor. Amethyst volunteered his name, thinking it only fair that he returned the gesture as well. Only time would tell if this was going to be a temporary truce born out of a common enemy whom they had to work together to defeat or one that might make him start reconsidering his initial impression of the Knights after the really bad run-in he had with a certain topless Pluto Page.

He saw the ribbon of light that the Queen Shade sent their way and quickly moved to try to get himself out of its path of travel, only to trip over a tree root and fall, the magical attack searing when it went across his calf and made him grit his teeth from the pain so as to keep from crying out at the agony that caused him. Clawing at the dirt ground, he tried to get his leg out of harm's way, his hand grabbing onto a rock which he tossed with as much strength as he could muster at the Queen Shade herself.

Round 6

User Image

Queen Finsternis
HP: ????

This could not be. These pathetic humans could not best her. She was Queen, and they but weak, sniveling plebes. She could not allow this. Would not allow this. They had injured her person, thrown all manner of things her way, weapons, debris, used magic against her, magic that should be for her use, not theirs. For they were not long for this world. She would overcome them, and in their place her own subjects would thrive.

Proper subjects who knew the meaning of deference and sacrifice. The vulgar humans could not hope to beat them.

Yet more and more of her shades were being destroyed. And more and more she found herself under the barrage of human attacks. Another spear struck her shoulder, and a pesky bird raked its talons over her flesh. She screamed in rage and searched for the culprits, but she could pick out few individuals in the mass of Earthlings that faced her. One puny thing in purple dared to strike her with fists and feet, and there were others, winged Senshi that she would flick carelessly from the air if she could. This would not be tolerated. She would see that they were destroyed.

Rocks and twigs were thrown, whole branches, and objects with roughly honed points fashioned out of them. Some struck her and served to amplify her anger; others missed their target. A trashcan lid sailed toward her, but it but grazed her arm.

ENOUGH!” she shouted, enraged. “You foolish humans! You will all perish! You will NOT defeat me! Come, my fairies, vanquish these feeble Earthlings! I would trod upon their corpses!”

Sooner rather than later, she hoped, for she was weakening.

In one hand she summoned a ball of energy which took the form of a silver sphere comprised of circling rings. From this she enacted a power that went largely unseen, but one she hoped would stall them, as it would reverse their movements and would make them victims of vertigo. Ideally it would weaken some of them.

It was the pesky Senshi in purple and her maddening attempts to stage a physical attack that precipitated the next bit of magic. “Heavenly Orchid Arrows!” the Queen said, drawing forth a trail of petals that took the form of a bow, from which she shot arrows of silver light with hard, petal shaped tips into the crowd. Not much damage resulted when used by the Senshi from whom the attack had been cloned, but Finsternis was Queen, and she sought to destroy them all.

Finsternis Attack
Valhalla's Gyrocompass – causes movement reversal and vertigo (no sense of direction + dizziness and nausea).

Heavenly Orchid Arrow (Ida's Attack) –  An out-flung hand casts a trail of petals that form a bow-like shape. She takes it up and uses it to fire arrows of light with hardened petals as arrow heads. The arrows have an 'aura' of power to them and explode on contact. The explosion is more concussive, causing a pressure that can push a target backwards a foot or two, but doesn't do much in the way of actual damage. Unbalanced enemies could be knocked over, if they were caught unaware. Particularly heavy opponents may not be moved by the attack, but could be distracted or slowed by the pressure of it. Each arrow takes a lot of power to cast and her limit is three, which exhausts her and can force her to retire until she's rested.

Roll one 10-sided die to see if you are affected by the power of Valhalla's gyrocompass! If you roll a 5 or more, your next attack will be a difficult one to enact, so roll a 10-sided die for your next attack instead of the usual 20-sided!

Roll another 10-sided die to determine whether or not you've been hit with one of Ida's magical arrows! Odds are a hit, evens are a miss!

*Please bold all attacks on the queen and the shades.

As the Shade leapt for him, Athene had moved to dodge, balling up a fist in an attempt to try get his own hit in on the Shade. As he did he saw Nysa move to swipe out at the Shade with an ornate sword that appeared to be maded out of shell and for a moment the thing's attention shifted away from him.

Athene had planned to use the opportunity to try striking the Shade, but in that moment he found his arms and legs suddenly moving in the opposite way to the way he wanted, as a sudden wave of dizziness came over him.

The strange reversal in movement ironically saved him from an arrow attack that Athene would have found quite familiar, given that it belonged to the eternal attack of his friend and fellow PSSG member, his dizzy steps taking him out of its path of flight.

The Shade perhaps tired of the Neptune Knight's interference turned its attention on Nysa and although he did his best, Athene's attempt to try and strike the thing did little more than graze it as attempted to rush the Knight instead.

------------------------------------------------------
Or at least Falias' intention had been to go after the shade attacking the senshi, unfortunately however the next attack from the Shade Queen had come fast on the heels of the last one and he suddenly felt his legs seeming to yank around in the opposite direction to the one in which he wanted to go.

The sudden disorientation had left Falias feeling dizzy, ultimately unable to see the arrow heading in his direction and he yelped as the thing struck him in the thigh with a pressure strong enough to have him stumbling back a foot or two, losing his balance completely as he stumbled over a stone.

The stone may or may not have gone skidding somewhat vaguely off in the direction of the Shade attacking the blonde senshi that he'd been planning to help,
but Falias wasn't particularly in a position to care as with his balance shot to pieces he ended up sprawling pretty much in an ungainly heap.

It seemed as if her swing had completely missed the Shade Queen, leaving Iris there, flapping her wings to maintain her momentary proximity.

Given her proximity, there was no way the Princess would be able to dodge while maintaining flight. The best she could do was essentially blindly pick which side to round towards as her wings beat behind her to maintain her momentary hovering. A hint of purple petals caught her sight and the Princess of Rainbows found herself leaning in towards that attack.

Perhaps a bit of underestimation on her own part. The flower petals formed a weapon and soon enough energy flew at her, slicing the skin upon her arms, leaving paper thin trails of blood. Her body sagged as she briefly halted her flying efforts, but soon enough bobbed back up as she resumed flapping.

Iris HP: 37/50

Perhaps he was not destined to attempt fighting using his left hand. Nausea bubbled up and rather easily he staggered down, kneeling down as his weapon was used to hold himself up. He felt very disoriented, and it felt as if the moment he stood up, he would be falling upon his own two feet.

Horrible timing, considering that he now had a shade lashing out against him.

In her efforts to assist Themiscyra, Ganymede somehow managed to avoid more of the shade Queen's attacks. For a very brief moment she felt mildly out of step, but she recovered quickly and assumed it to be her own doing, stumbling in her rush to help the page, and though arrows rained all around her there were none that struck her.

Which was just as well. She had enough injuries to contend with as it was.

Once the arrows of light had passed and Iris had recovered from the shock of the injury she received, the Princess didn't hesitate to attempt swooping in again towards the Queen, wings beating furious behind her.

"The people of Earth are not so easy to extinguish..." she challenged before throwing another forceful punch aimed towards the Queen's stomach. If her attempt to shove her didn't work, maybe punching her towards the shore would be a bit more successful.

After her swing, she once more dipped in the air before bobbing back up. Flying, she had practice with. Fighting while flying, not so much.

A rock sailed towards the shade, pegging it in the back of the head, and as it turned to see who the culprit was, Varuna threw her hands towards it with the call of her attack, “Snow Slip!”, glad for the distraction and opportunity to try and get away.

While she only caught a glimpse of the person who had assisted her, she was at least able to scurry out of the shade’s way for the time being — and out into the open where she was struck by a magical arrow and suddenly felt as though the ground was miles above her.

She dropped to her knees again, surprised that gravity still existed, but now weak and struggling to stay out of her shade’s reach. It didn’t seem as though her energy would last much longer, though...

HP: 11 - 5 = 6/40

—————————————————————————

Another wave of vertigo hit him, although he knew it was not from the shade as the two of them were already preoccupied in duking it out. Valhalla groaned, grabbing onto a nearby tree to steady himself, closing his eyes only as long as he had to in order to reorient himself with which direction was which. Now that he was getting used to the actual reversal part of his own attack, it was easier to step backwards with the intention of moving forward — but the nausea was a bit more distracting than not being able to move very accurately.

But the time he spent trying to convince himself that this was just an attack and the ground was still below his feet was enough time for the shade to attack once more. Instead of going in for another punch, it used the gyrocompass in a way that Valhalla had never used it before.

Using the weapon itself as a handle, the shade managed to loop the cord adorned with small, glowing stones around Valhalla’s neck. Too surprised to even know how to react, Valhalla clawed at the cord, struggling to find a way to escape, but the shade’s intent to kill had it holding on tighter.

HP: 40/50

—————————————————————————

Arrows rained down, striking the boy’s shoulder and causing him to yelp out once more. There was still fighting going on, and even as he lunged for his clone, he found himself jumping backwards and stumbling onto the ground.

Something about the attack the Queen just used was making him go backwards?? Even when he tried wiping the leaves out of his hair, his hand ended up flailing somewhere behind his back, completely useless. He glared at the shade, trying to catch his breath and think of a way to attack it before it could attack him. This definitely wasn’t your average youma.

HP: 27 - 5 = 22/40

——————————————————————————

Wishing the General would hurry up and give him another chance at using the spear to skewer the Queen, Sessrumnir was suddenly overcome with a strange sensation. He recognized what it was called right away — vertigo — but didn’t know where it had come from… aside from the Queen. After all, she was using known attacks on them, wasn’t she? He was surprised she hadn’t rained spears down on them yet. For now it was just arrows, one of which hit him in the arm.

Sessrumnir hissed, but continued to hold out his hand for the spear, waiting as patiently as he could. He could easily hurl his stormglass at the Queen, but the spear was much more appealing for the situation.

(( hit by the compass. Rolling for arrows (7, hit) and attack on the queen (5) ))

Thankfully, her attacks on the queen seemed to be having some effect. Not a whole lot of one, but still. If they were doing something, then the defenders were making progress.

Drawing back a small fist, Ida gave the queen another punishing blow, but after it connected, she felt her hand flung back the other way and the world was suddenly spinning around her. Stumbling back... or fowards, or up, it was hard to tell, Ida wrapped her arms around her stomach and tried very hard not to loose her lunch right on the spot. This must be another attack... something she didn't recognize, like that one before.

It had her so distracted and disoriented that she never saw her own arrows launched back at her, only heard a whooshing roar before her world went white and she was flung through the air to land hard on the ground in a tangle of limbs. The orchid senshi groaned as she struggled to stabilize her world and suddenly remembered why she had a team. It was to prevent stuff like this... they always fought better together.

Not much she could do about it right now, though. She had to get up first, and with her sudden vertigo, that would be no small feat.
