Seijin was carefully staring Tabitha down, trying to get the scent she had been following subconsciously up to that point. Tabitha meanwhile, chose to smile warmly at them both, "Are we looking for something? Maybe I could help. I am told I am great at finding things! What are we looking for~? "

"As Samantha said, she and I are looking for someone who I believe you are hiding," Seijun walked a bit closer, " Why not let me come in and hand her over?"
"I do not feel comfortable allowing you into my dorm, Mrs. Kazuko!" The student cooed softly.
"I will force my way in."
"But Mrs. Kazuko, you have no right to barge into my room unless I am in direct violation of the Student Rule guide," Tabitha sneered," As far as I know, having a fellow student visit is perfectly fine!'

"So you admit she's in there!" Samantha said, pointing a finger at Tabitha. "You're protecting her, aren't you? Wait, no - you're hiding her! Well your luck's run out, cause we're gonna put a stop to all this right here!"

"Sorry Kazuko, you'll have to put me in detention later -- OUTTA MY WAY!" The irate girl braced her good shoulder forward and, from her side of the three way standoff, broke into a short but powerful run. Samantha was prepared to ram Tabitha, forcing her way into the dorm room beyond. If nothing else, the attempt would catch her off guard, and allow Seijin to succeed should Samantha fail...

"Hey!' "Samantha!"

Tabitha was knocked into her own door, but she recovered quickly. However, she couldn't quite do much, because Seijin 'accidentally ' bumped into her, knocking both of them over and muttering a small "Oh sorry-" , leaving it as clear as it could be for Samantha to barge in.

The room was normal, lined with normal stuff, in a normal order, maybe a not dark due to the blinds being drawn, but everything normal. Except for the black bulk that had been neatly curled up as small as it could in the corner. There was a deep growl, and two rows of sharp teeth became visible in the glint what little light made it inside the room.

Seijin, wrestling with Tabitha could only stare, as the student below her grinned widely, "Fetch."

The growl turned into a loud snarl as the beast stood, first on four then on two, flexing its claws before falling back down on four and stalking forward on Samantha. The only reason it hadn't pounced was the small environment it was in. A loud maneuver like that would likely hurt it more and the room than the prey.

Her plan having worked, Samantha shoved past Tabitha and ran headlong into the room, not giving thought as to what she might find inside. Her eyes took a moment to adjust to the darkness inside, and by then, it was far too late for her.

She first heard the growl, causing her to freeze in her tracks. The sound was all too familiar, and send a fear coursing through her body like no other. As the mass in front of her grew in size, bearing a mouthful of dagger-like teeth, Samantha could do nothing but simply back away. Her foot caught on the leg of a small table or something, causing her to tumble backwards onto the ground, but even as she fell her gaze never left the snarling fangs that threatened, and once on the ground, began to back away in a hurried crawl. However, soon her back met the wall, and she knew she was trapped.

"S-- SEIJIN!!!"

The beast continued to advance forward, eyes lit with bloodlust, the wide mouth seemed to start to open, and despite how slow it seemed to both prey and predator, it required lighting reflexes for Seijin to dart in to protect her student. With her fist around the cane she rammed the golden hilt into the beast's muzzle. It's face was thrown to side, leaving enough space for Seijin to slide between both it and Samantha.

By then Tabitha had slipped away. Seijin drew her sword, making the huge monster hesitate and trot a step or so back. "Samantha, has it hurt you?" The sword poised ready the beast and Seijin stared into each other's eyes. Predator versus predator, the beast grew obvious of her prey and its fleeing master.

"N-No, I'm fine..." Samantha stuttered, clutching at her chest and the beating heart barely contained within. Still pressed against the wall, she fumbled to find her limbs and stand on two wobbly legs, her knees threatening to buckled out of fear and give our, despite the magical enhancements brought about by her deck.

Her eyes were still locked with the monster as well, not daring to look away or even blink, lest she allow the towering mass of muscle and fur the chance to lung for her and rip out her throat. Even with the teacher between her and it, she felt no more safe than she had a moment ago, with solely the creature standing before her. She watched as Seijin drew her glistening sword, becoming a sort of knight to combat the dreaded monster as in tales of old...

That's when she remembered. This wasn't a monster, not fully. It was an illusion... granted a deadly one, but an illusion nonetheless. There was a person under all that, somewhere. Someone she hardly knew, but knew well enough to understand she existed as a living, breathing, thinking person... not some mindless killing machine. No, the cards had made her that... and Tabitha took full advantage of it.

"Seijin!" She called out, breaking the horrid silence that blanketed the room. "R-..remember! That's Heidi, right? So you can't hurt her! We... we gotta save her!" She clutched at her chest tighter, remembering the fear and rage she had felt while under the tormenting control of her cards. "Don't... Hurt... Her....!"

Samantha was right but there was many things weighing her mind. The threat of the sword was what was keeping the beast at a bay, the moment she put it away, it would attack mercilessly. She had to think quickly to ensure all of their safety: the beast's, Samantha's and her own.

Her wolven ears appeared as she carefully measured her window of opportunity. She would need to be quick and precise. There would only be one chance and error could be tragic or even fatal. Her eyes still locked on the beast, she made her choice.

Swiftly, she sheathed her sword, and in the same motion swung it around to impact the beast's leg. The force must have been crushing, but to be sure she swung twice- once at each leg, making it yelp and collapse forward. As its head hit the floor loudly the staff's base quickly struck down on its skull, dazing it. Before it could recover, Seijin changed her grip and slammed the full length of her cane down onto it paws again, half aiming at what would be its lower arm.

All this in the lighting moves that had grown to characterize her . The beast with its front legs now mostly out of function, laid there like a wounded animal, whimpering and growling softly. The teacher held her cane ready anyway, not sure how well it had worked,".....I think it worked.... but. Now what?"

The beast seemed to have lost the will to fight. The injuries of the precious day stacking, it had little stamina left. Yet it refused to fall unconscious as dazed as it was, and its begging eyes chose to glue on Samantha. Its eyes...

It was alone, so very alone. It was scared, so very scared. Its master had left it behind like a broken toy, and now, it was at the feet of someone who seemed to it like a whole new abuser.

It all happened nearly too fast for Samantha's eyes to register. One moment, she was staring into the eyes of the beast, her own hand drifting to touch Seijin's in an attempt to persuade her into peaceful actions, but in a dizzying blitz of movement, the teacher's lightning-quick reflexes has dispatched and subdued the towering creature, reducing it-- her into a crumpled, writhing mess.

Samantha breathed a sigh of relief to see that the beast was incapacitated. She felt her eyes upon her and couldn't help but stare back into them deeply. There was a sadness held in those large eyes... a spark that went out what seemed like years ago. Samantha pushed past Seijin gently, now putting herself between her savior and tormentor.
"...Heidi...?" She called out softly, crouching down in front of the bulk before her. She remembered what her mother once taught her about stray animals, that to bear over them made you into either a threat or a dominant presence. Samantha moved low, onto her hands and knees, and gingerly, cautiously, reached out a hand. "Heidi..? Do you understand me?"

It stared in skepticism back at Samantha. Seijin had muttered a "Wait" but now she only watched carefully, tensely, as her student drew nearer and nearer to the huge monster like creature. All was quiet except for the whimpers of the beast.

It shifted dragging its muzzle away from Samantha, fearing it would be hurt again. Once more its movements made Seijin tense, but that was all it did. Even as it tried to move away, its eyes staid on Samantha, given it couldn't escape, only recoil from her. Now it peered back looking for any malice or anger in Samy's eyes.

Samantha noticed Heidi trying to retreat, but being in such a closed space, such a feat was next to impossible for the large bestial frame. "Hey, it's alright! We're here to help, right Kazuko? We don't wanna hurt you..." She continued to stay low, and was eye to eye with the beast as she spoke. She wanted to make herself as least threatening as possible.

"Heidi, i-if that's really you... why don't you change back? Then we can fix you if you're hurt! But we can't do much while you're like this..." She leaned closer, and despite knowing full well that her teacher would be able to hear her, whispered, "And I don't think Kazuko will relax until you turn back! So don't worry... c'mon, we need to hurry before she comes back...!" carefully, Samantha reached out to touch Heidi's paw with a single finger. She hoped the gesture would show just how weak she was compared to the beast's great power...

As the small student touched her large paw, the beast moved her head closer to Samantha's hand, sniffing at it almost curiously. Seijin once more loomed over them both. It left its muzzle there.
"Samantha, I am not sure how much of Heidi is there, we need to move out of here, we need to move her, to your room, since it is closer." The teacher walked close to them causing the beast to lift its head and snarl at her. She quickly backed her step, and as soon as she did that, the creature lowered its head back down, once more close to Samantha's hand, continuing to sniff it.

"Alright, you need to move her," Seijin complied to move back. "Before Tabitha comes back, or something like that." The beast had busied itself gently licking at Samantha's hand.

Samantha flinched when Heidi snarled, but otherwise didn't interrupt the beast's playful curiosity. The sensation of her tongue against the skin on her hand was somewhat unnerving, but she felt no malice or anything of the sort from the gesture. She could only wonder how much of Heidi was behind the act, and how much was the beast.

"Yeah, that's right... Okay, c'mon Heidi!" She slowly pulled her finger back as the beast licked at it, hoping to coax her into moving along with it. "Let's go to my room... you remember where it is, right? We can even get food there, if you're hungry finally... You don't look like you have much energy... And we need to find a way to get you back to normal, too..." Samantha stood up, holding her hand out to the beast, and admittedly resisted the urge to pat her knee or thigh as she would to a dog or pet. "Let's go!"

The beast watched curiously, lifting with some issues onto its legs as Samantha gestured for her to go forward. She complied to following after her, slowly and with some difficulties. Seijin moved around them both looking out the door and both ways. "The coast is clear, come on, Samantha..."

She moved ahead of them, ignoring them and focusing on listening down the hallway. "Guide her down, It doesn't sound like there is anyone here but us."
While that happened, The beast was still busily sniffing at Samantha, though now standing it decided to sniff about the girls head, making Seijin twitch with a flinch at first sight. Quickly decerning it was a harmless, she let out a sigh of relief and shook her head,"Go on Samantha."
PostPosted: Sat Dec 28, 2013 5:55 pm

"Okay, let's move, Hei--eehh!" Samantha shook her head, feeling hot air from the beast wash past her. She turned to look at her, only to have her view filled with the sight of Heidi's nose-- ...snout? Large, powerful nostrils beating away at the scent of the young girl's hair.

"W... What do you think you're doing? Let's just gooo...!" She gently, playfully, pushed Heidi's snout away then waved her to follow, and lead the two after Seijin. She was thankful to have her as a scout, with senses that ranged far beyond her own, to look out for them both, and before long the three had made it to Samantha's dorm room, safe and without incident. The young student let out a sigh of relief as she closed and locked the door firmly behind her, then turned to lean against it... and realizing she had two very strange and very beastly guests in her room.

"Ah... now what...?"

Seijin let out a sigh of relief once more when they were inside and safe. She rubbed the top of her head, running her hand through her mostly bleached hair, the wolf ear folding back. When Samantha spoke she turned around, in time to see the beast simply lay down and gnaw on the coffee table, almost idly. "Ah.... we... find a way to turn her back?"

The teacher slid the cane between her belt and her pants, as if tucking it in a sheath at her hip. She wasn't about to let her guard down, even if the beast seemed passive. "It seems... she is hungry?" she offered as she watched Heidi continue gnawing on the table, finally managing to break a piece off... and swallowed it. " ah- ....????" The beast licked at its muzzle, wrinkled its nose, and then shoved the table away- half across the room and onto Seijin.
She had to dive out of the way. "Hey! "

"Gr.... I have no patience for animals," The teacher pinched the bridge of her nose, going to turn the table back up right and pushed it close to where it was but mot close enough to Heidi
