Never Again...Herald listened quietly to Emma speak. He shook his head when she talked about still feeling trapped. "Even though you feel that way, you are as free as free can be," he assured her. He wasn't sure if he could accept that what had happened to him happened for a reason, but he didn't say so. He looked at the barcode on her neck, touching it with his free hand. At least it was hidden from her view so that she didn't have to see it. Will I be bound in chains

"It will take some getting used to." Emma said with a small laugh. Her body seemed to naturally tense up slightly when Herald touched the code on her neck before relaxing a few moments later. She glanced a little to the side to look at him.

Never Again...Herald looked over at Emma as he took his hand off the mark. "True," he replied simply, looking back to the field of flowers. "It always does."Will I be bound in chains

Emma nodded before looking at the flowers again and leaning against Herald once more quietly. "What did it feel like to you when you got out of the arenas?" she asked finally. She didn't want to push it with certain questions, she just appeared curious.

Never Again...Herald thought for a moment on Emma's question. "When I awoke, there was a man standing over me. He told me he was a Weapon named Shane Lawson and he told me that him and some of his compatriots had broken me out of the Arenas and that they had been destroyed for the time being. I couldn't remember much but I remember killing Shane's Meister, Eric Hunter. Shane told me that the name Eric Hunter was special and that it came with special responsibilities. I tried to respond but I couldn't. That's when Shane explained that I had been sealed inside my own body. The person who was able to respond and ask questions was the new personality created by the seal. He accepted the name Eric Hunter. from them on I could only watch helplessly, fading in and out of consciousness until the seal weakened enough for me to break free. Being sealed like that....was a horrible feeling. Watching your body walk around with no control over it. The one controlling it was only vaguely aware of my presence and unable to communicate with me. He was completely different than me. He changed his appearance....joined the DWMA...I was in a completely different world when I broke free." Herald remained silent after that, looking off into the distance. Will I be bound in chains

"Oh..." Emma responsed as she looked at him "So... even after escaping you weren't considered free yet? I can understand how terrible that might have felt." she responded before looking down towards one of the flowers.

Emma sent a warm smile Herald's way before quickly kissing him on the cheek and glancing away towards the flowers again. She twirled one gently in her hand without plucking it from the ground, her face had a slight red tint to it now.

Sabrewolf123 Never Again...Herald looked over at Emma in surprise after she kissed him on the cheek. He looked at her for a moment before reaching out and pulling her into his lap, giving her a kiss on the lips. Will I be bound in chains

Emma gladly kissed Herald back, choosing to lean against him slightly as she sat in his lap. After a couple of minutes she pulled away to look at him "Uh... is this continuous from last night? Or can I say I won last night and this is a new round." she told him with a joking tone before giggling.
