Vast At was having serious doubts about being able to finish his task for his Goddess, and that saddened him deeply. For every fragment he got close to, none of them sang to him in any way.

A nod at that. It was important not to make a fool of oneself. Or so he'd been told by... someone? Had he? He felt like he should have only thought that if someone told him, but... "You'll end up in less awkward-" A pause as he realized he was still looking to the building. "Situations." Yeeup, he hadn't thought this one through at all. "I would think they're... ears. I hear with them?" He flicked one at that point. Helping to realize he had them, now that they were soid, did seem to make them far easier to move. Actually...
Now he was curious. He couldn't help trying to move them a bit more, it felt like something he should know. But not doing it for a while, well... "Huh." Well at least he was done with reacquainting himself with his ears. Back to the matter at hand.
A side glance was given to only be greeted with the sight of her looking off as well, her hands on her face. Why was it so yellow? "Is the blessing not agreeing with you?" It was an honest question, he couldn't think of anything else worth getting that worked up over. Were his ears that strange?
"Not remembering can make things more awkward?" He offered up as she spoke again, flicking his ear again. No. No they were not weird. That building was more strange. "...they're not weird." He quickly added, his tone flat. Perhaps a bit indignant even. Now she'd gotten him stating things that didn't need to be said. But really, he didn't want to be sitting around worrying what someone thought about his ears for the rest of the day. Not at all.
Though it was an odd sensation to twitch them, now that he thought about it. How had he missed that earlier?

After a pause, Zihyu was up in the air, supported by Zauus' thin, noodle arms. She just wanted to put her friend down as soon as possible. But after hearing Zihyu's excited exclamation, Zauus let out an excited little cheer. Her new friend seemed to have obtained her first piece of light. She slowly let the other down. "Now where to?" She didn't want to seemingly force the other into going where she was going.

Rime didn't stay near the goddess for too long as a small glowing bit caught her attention. With a little grin she made her way over towards the fragment, only to have it disappear before she reached it. Hmm, well while that was mildly frustrating, there had to be more of them, so off she went to hunt some down.

Ah-HA! Vast At finally found a fragment that spoke to him, placing it with the others, he was finally ready to bring it to the goddess so that he might grow stronger and serve with her.

Distracted by the fact that she had company now, she absently reached out for a passing fragment as the last few had simply slipped away. However, when she managed to grab this one, she turned to look at it in surprise--and jolted at the faint whisper that touched her mind--but before she could dwell on it, she realized that someone was turned towards them.
...Were they staring at them?
"Are you alright?" She ventured, though it might have been a rather stupid question to ask considering the circumstances. Still, it never hurt to be polite. Probably.

Whatever that thing was, touching it had triggered something, a passing murmur in her ear. She hadn't been able to catch it, but something told her that it was important, and the longing pull in her heart--the feeling that she was forgetting something--only encouraged her to try and collect more of the things.
Waiting until another one passed by, she made an attempt to catch it out of the air.

Feet touched the ground and Zihyu was bouncing now. It was appreciated that her new friend assisted her and it showed the way the small gray figure openly smiled.
It was like a small joyful dance of accomplishment.
Then she was asked about where to go next. Zihyu grabbed Zauus' hand and started to make way toward the next fragment just in case. Thankfully it was low and easy to reach and when Zihyu snapped it up there was a voice.

The darkness seemed to grow the closer she got, which was strange since she carried five of the glowing fragments. Or maybe she just felt that way because of the stark contrast? Either way, Omega began to feel small, smaller than she knew was possible.
And then she wasn't there at all, but somewhere else unknown. Bright lights blinded her, squeals ringing in her ears, and it was so cold. She had had warmth once, comfort that surrounded and made her feel safe and loved, but now it was gone. Voices in a strange language shouted and sobbed and frightened her, and she fidgeted in odd things that pulled her away, wiped her down with something soft but unwanted, not the soft warm embrace she craved and cried for. And then something silver flashed and she was struck with a dastardly pain that made her scream while someone shushed and grabbed and pressed her to them--
Omega hadn't realized when she started shaking, only that there were now wings holding her close. If...If she wasn't meant to remember, then why had she...? But the goddess had power, the dexterity and generosity to pull the awful memory out of her mind and replace it instead with something comforting and warm like she craved.
Warm. That was what her partner meant, wasn't it. She wouldn't worry about it anymore because she was protected from further harm, she just knew it.
Without warning, Omega started to hum an aimless tune, struck with the impulse to out of nowhere; though the notes were disjointed because, well, what was music? What was this funny little need to speak without speaking? She skipped back over, serene in her smile. "Our goddess is kind and amazing~" she cooed. "I want to be just like her..."

Walking out of the shrine, Viola'i suddenly became very aware that she had hair. Very sproingy hair that seemed to bounce back into place no matter how straight she tugged on it.
"How are you doing this..." the more solid girl asked it after her fingers dangled in another strand and pulled lightly upon it to let it reform back as it had before; her first attempt had been a little too hard, making it hurt just a little. Was all her head covered in these locks? Feeling the back of her head seemed to provide her with an answer, and also another with the length of it all. Short, but seeming to be manageable. But made it difficult to see if the action was repeated in a similar manner with how limited her eye range was.
The curiosity in the nature of her hair, unfortunately, distracted the young girl from a little more pressing matters though. Like, where she was going and the vicinity of those around her. Another simple tug at another lock found her face suddenly smashed into someone else's shoulder. "Mmph!". That could have almost been an apology.
