This time, the debris stayed lodged, causing the fan to stop momentarily. He crossed across the room quickly, wanting to get through it before anything else happened.

"Hello again," he said to the towering thing. He still didn't know what it was, but he started to climb up it again. The idea was to go up the same path that he had last time, but he tripped, causing himself to land on the hot metal.

He took a deep breath, and began to climb once more.
He hadn't gotten far when he found himself with a face full full of steam. This clearly wasn't the path he used last time.

This path was uneven, and he found himself tripping again, face-planting into the hot metal again. He was really starting to hurt at this point, and he wasn't sure if he was going to be able to make it all the way up this time.

He yelped, stepping onto something that proceeded to explode the moment he stepped off of it. It wasn't enough to hurt him badly, but it was painful. He just wanted to reach the top.

After a short rest, Lyzzi walked towards one of the three orbs to receive her blessing. As she felt the blessing set in, she decided that all the pain she had to go through in order to get here was worth it.
... She'll just have to be more careful on the way back.

He was limping now, but he made it up the rest of the structure without anymore problems. It had been close, and he was very thankful that he hadn't had anything else to injure him.

Now that he was at the top, he could breath a little easier, relieved at having finally made it up to the top. The orbs were still there and he stepped up to the first one. He felt the blessing envelope him, and he smiled.
All of the pain was worth this.

The heat was extremely uncomfortable.
But this was the area the goddess who blessed her had chosen, and the Forge was a part of it, so she would learn to appreciate it. If she could. As she descended, the deeper in she went, the hotter it got. She was beginning to worry she would find only lava and rocks, no matter how far down she went, and that she'd just be swallowed up in the chaos.
It surprised her when she came across run-down looking machinery. What could its purpose be?
Deeper down, there was a huge room with platforms and hubs. Ugh, technology. She didn't really understand any of it. "If only there was an abandoned instruction manual somewhere around here..."
Lacking that, it was clearly time to wander around aimlessly.
And straight into the testing room. Immediately upon entering, she was set fire to by some kind of torch with a fan spraying bits of liquid fire everywhere. Managing to put that fire out, and retreating further on, she dodged some kind of explosive device (or so she thought) ; a smaller version of the same item had gotten onto her clothing, and detonated with a puff of fire.
Pain aside, she made it out, and vowed never to let that happen again.

It didn't exactly help her body temperature to switch from going to a room full of fire to a room that could easily numb a volcano. Rather than risk the fact that her temperature appeared to be declining rapidly, she sought out a fan to try to get it to stop.
By the time she found the fan, however, she didn't think her combat reflexes would be nearly good enough to destroy it.
Instead, she took to lobbing debris at it, conserving her energy until she was certain she was able to throw well. It seemed like she'd made the right choice; her aim was good, but her muscles were so chilled that it was barely strong enough to jam the fan. It lodged, however, and she began to thaw out as she proceeded to the next room.
Why had she wanted to come here, anyway?

As if adding to the list of her unpleasant experiences (was everything in this world designed to kill her?) Raumias saw the giant heated structure as a cliff ascension 2.0: not only was it unstable and questionable, it was also scalding.
So if she moved too slowly, like she'd had the luxury to do with the bridge, she could die from the heat itself.
Fantastic.
Before she could even find out if she could move fast enough, a sticky bomb that had gone into hibernation exploded on her.
