[Oulixes post 6
The swordsman couldn't help but to be amused by the manner in which Yaholo reacted to Oulixes offer to carry him. He knew it was a touch mean to tease him when he was in such a condition but he just couldn't help it. The real question probably came down to whether or not he could actually carry him. Yaholo was a lot bigger then he was, likely that Alkidike blood of his, and he was thicker as well. He would have to put his all into carrying the much bigger male which made him a little grateful that he didn't need carried, at least not at this point, "Well, let me know if you change your mind." He told him, then motioned at him, "Lead the way, I will follow." He didn't exactly know who all it was that Yaholo wanted to talk with. He really had few people that he would want to warn that he was leaving, mostly Chalcedony.
"After we find your friends we will find you a Healer or something." He had zero healing ability when it came to magic but he was decent enough at taking care of healing as far as first aid went. If they couldn't find a healer then he would just see about dealing with patching Yaholo up on his own. It was a last ditch sort of thing but one he'd do regardless if the need for such a thing arose. He just hoped that it didn't, he'd rather him be taken care of by a professional.

Yaholo, post nine
Yaholo nodded and nodded and nodded, his face still colored a rather furious red. Oh, no, he wouldn't have Oulixes carry him! Not even if part of him reeeeallllyyy wanted to see if he could. At the notion of finding a Healer, he paused, and smiled.
"My friend, Natsu's, adoptive brother is training to be a Healer, maybe he could do something?" He shrugged.
Natsu, post two
"Aha! There you are!" Natsu exclaimed, pointing at Yaholo in a rather accusatory fashion. He pushed through the remainder of the crowd separating him from the half-breed man and grasped his shoulders. "YOU NEED HEALING! STOP RUNNING AWAY!"
Then, his eyes grew wide, and drifted straight over to Oulixes. He paused, glanced to Yaholo, and back to Oulixes, before he released Yaholo and latched onto Oulixes instead. "HELLO, OULIXES!" He exclaimed. "I'm absolutely delighted to see you! Where have you been? How are you doing? We miss seeing you back in Sauti! You need to visit us! Please?"
Viveka, post two
Viveka had lost track of Natsu for no more than a second, and he was not happy to find that in that short span of time, his boyfriend was snuggling up to some stranger! Uh, Natsu was HIS, who the hell did this guy think he was?! He shoved through the crowd just as roughly as Natsu had done before and trudged his way over, only to shrink back when he got a closer look at Oulixes. Gaaaah, he was messed up! He was probably some crazy guy! Amber orb darted to Natsu, who hadn't bothered to detach from Oulixes, and his hands lunged for the ginger's sides.
"Naaaatsuuuu! Don't hug strangers!" He whined. "They may not like snuggles! Please don't be so forward!"
Rastian, post four
So, once he had figured out what was going on in the arena, Rastian went back to where Natsu, Viveka, and the others had been. However, to his dismay, as per usual, everyone had gone and ******** wandered off again. He heaved a sigh and rubbed his temples, before setting off to find them all AGAIN. Thankfully, Yaholo's height proved to be an asset for this mission of sorts, as his glossy black hair was a dead giveaway from a distance. He trudged around the crowd and apologized to anyone he bumped into, before pausing just shy of the four men. Olive eyes hovered over Viveka and Natsu, drifted over Oulixes, and closed. Could his brothers be more of an embarrassment? Really, he would LOVE to see if they could accomplish that, because they were an absolute humiliation to begin with.
"Hey, let me know if you want me to yank those idiots off of you, I don't know if you're comfortable or not." He said, waving towards Oulixes.

The man listened as the grumbling and murmuring got louder and more intense. The crowd was displeased obviously, and some were already leaving the stands; getting out as fast as they could to get to safer ground.
Freya stepped forward, her golden eyes scanning the crowd. There was one girl who spoke up against Besian; how young and naive this girl was. "Besian is my husband; his loyalty is not to a king bent on war, it is to the people he cares for and to his conscience." She was about to speak further when Besian held out a hand to her as if to say it was alright, he could handle himself. His eyes held a small smile, as though this were amusing to him.
"It is true. Those from Oba and those from this side will die in the fighting to come, but I cannot sit idly by as your nations are taken by surprise and slaughtered. Would you have rather I didn't come?" The amusement in his eyes disappeared and turned somber at the mention of death. "I came here to warn the leaders and strongest of you all in order to prepare you for the news I brought with me. There is still time." He let the thought of having time left set into the crowd.
The crowd murmured to themselves. Time? Who would have time in a situation like this? Wasn't the invasion coming?

Sathe || In the Stands, watching (post 14)
One of the girls in the stands started to yell at the big man in the center. Why was she so upset? Her words didn't make sense. King? kinsmen... loyalty? Sathe didn't really know what these words meant, but she had said fighting. Was there gonna be another one of these big fights? Because this was fun. But everyone was so serious she didn't think that that was what they meant.
So there was gonna be a real fight? Sathe's eyes watered up and she tugged on Aminah's shirt. The man and woman was talking more about loyalty and fighting and dying. Sathe broke into tears and rubbed her face into Aminah's side. She didn't want to be here anymore. She hugged Aminah tight and asked her sister. "Please Big Sister! Can we go now? I wanna go home." She continued to sob into Aminah's shirt.
Aminah patted her head and held her close. She answered Sathe, but it wasn't the answer she wanted. "We'll go home soon, I promise. But we need to know what this man has to say. If we leave now it could be bad."
Sathe sniffed and burrowed her head further into Aminah's shirt. If Big Sister said they had to stay, then they had to stay, but she wasn't going to watch anymore. She needed to go home and see Mommy and Daddy.

Volle=9 posts, Ray and Senja= 8 posts Ray and Volle
Vollerei shook her head. The guy was huge and his news was not what she wanted to hear right now. "What type of idiot goes to war for land? Sheesh, this king person sounds like the old biddies in my village who were always complaining about us 'kids' not claiming Jauhaur. War and battles are sensless wastes of time." She grumbled as she fed some food to the squirming Zweil. Ryolun chuckled. "I agree. Not that I know any old biddes who complain like that. But I can guess that village elders in shifter communities would say the same." He thought for a moment. The only war he could remember hearing about was between the shifters and the alkidikes... "What does one do in a war?" He asked curiously. Senja Senja gripped Niadra's hand in hers. War, that sounded ikky.. what would they do? She wasn't a fighter at all! And she knew her brothers would want to be in the thick of any war and what if they died? That was just too scary! "I don't know what to do Niadra. I can't fight! Maybe there will be a way to .. I don't know, build a barrier between us to keep them away?" They had time from what the big guy said, but how much?

Oulixes post 7
"A healer in training is better then nothing." Oulixes said after a moment of thought, glad that he wouldn't have to take the weight of the wounds that Yaholo had received on his own shoulders. The last thing that he wanted was to have to do so because he feared that healing wasn't something stained hands were good for, "We will have you speak with him and see about getting patched up by him." He said as he followed along after the other man... and a moment late he found himself getting suddenly tackled by a person he'd met in the past, one that was most important to him and remembered well by the necklace he wore made of various shells the two of them had collected once upon a time ago. He starred down at the redhead for a moment who was clinging too him, ever surprised by how hands on the other other clans seemed to be before he withdrew slightly.
"It has been a long time Natsu." He commented, then reached out without thinking to catch hold of his wrist, lifting his hand up so that he could look it over, having always been worried about the injury he'd received. Oulixes had blamed himself for it, had he been more careful then perhaps Natsu wouldn't have ended up in such a state that day. After a moment of inspection he said, "It's good to see the wound has healed so well." Once he was done inspecting the Wind Tribesman he released his hold on him, turning to look at the whiny Ice Tribesman. It was a strange thing, disliking one's own clan, but he really had no love for the Ice Tribe of Zena. It was those people that stood by idly after all as his life was made into a living Hell by his father, still he supposed that he shouldn't dislike this man completely for what he was.
He could dislike him for being so whiny though. Eyes narrowing slightly he said, "You ought to grow a backbone, now is not the time for such weakness." He told him, then turned to look at Natsu and asked, "This is your sculptor isn't it?" He was exactly how he'd pictured him when he'd been told the one Natsu liked was a man and a sculptor. It was a job reserved for those who were soft and this one seemed soft. No accounting for taste but if Natsu liked him then he would pretend to be nice. Turning to look at the other one who spoke up, not one he knew in the least bit, he gave him a once over then said, "I can't say I am worried about any of them at the moment." He could probably take any one of them... though he really didn't feel like it. He'd had enough battling for the moment after the tournament. He'd like a short break from it before he dove back in.
"Besides, it seems like there is more to worry about then those who are touchy feely at the moment." He murmured as the big guy and his woman spoke up once more. Married were they? That was a strange pairing for sure, not what he'd expected at all, and it spoke of how cross tribal marriages could work out on occasion even if his own parents hadn't done well at all together from what he gathered, "I don't want to stick around much longer, things just aren't looking up." He muttered to himself. He was glad he came to the tournament due to the fact that it was a good learning experience, not to mention that he wouldn't find himself blindsided by this incoming war, but now was the time to split he felt.

Kelina fidgeted, perhaps she had spoken too harshly. "Forgive me, I did not mean to sound ungrateful. Though it is nice to see the loyalty to family came first. I didn't know this. But let me ask you this, would you stand with us?" She asked the man, the woman had said that he was loyal to the people he cared for, so wouldn't that mean that he would stand against his kinsmen to protect his family?

[Dyakida] IT IS NOT JUST BUSINESS she screamed at herself mentally. That was a horrible, cold thing to think about her own sisters. For a moment, the thought had felt horribly clearly true, but she was certain now. It was not. I cannot wish death upon any sister, dear to me or not. They are my sisters! She wrapped her cloak about her shoulders, My sisters. She decided to compromise. The risks have not changed, but I will ensure they survive. she nodded softly to herself. Yes. This was preferable.
[Peyla] Peyla glared up at the person yelling. How Rude! Then her ire was turned back to the tall ice woman. HOW DARE SHE SPEAK FOR MISTER SHINIES. SHE WASN'T MISTER SHINIES. Ugh. Peyla had had enough of this. She was going to go back to her Alkidike. She made a rude, probably unseen gesture at Freya before flying back up with what remained of her snacks and searching for Dyakida's stand.
[Ruelash] Oh hey! Someone was shouting back at the man! That took some serious backbone! He liked that style. He'd do it himself, 'cept he rarely had any questions. Actually, he didn't think her questions were actually that important, but they at least weren't annoying questions.
Ruelash noticed Winta and was momentarily distracted. Had she watched his fight and watched him kick a** with that dagger she had made? What had she thought? Why did he care? Whatever. He cared. "Hey Winta. There's gonna be a war." he said, waving to her as she joined him.

[Hijil] It took someone yelling for Hijil to realize she had the same questions. Why would this man warn them of an invasion from his own kin? Would she do the same if the shifters wished to invade? Not that they would, of course. She was thankful to this man. He was clearly a good man. She had no wish to be slaughtered in that way, or to see those she loved slaughtered either. She had things she could lose, and she would not let that happen. She didn't see why the crowd was so unsure. Besian had given them a gift. He had given them the gift of time- to prepare, to make weapons and armor, to train, and to make traps. Unless. Unless he was somehow working for this king person and was using false information to trick them. Where had such a thought come from? A surprise attack would be more effective, but bait was also very effective...

The man addressed the crowd once more; his voice booming out a reply to Kelina's question though it was masked by his encompassing of all those in the stands in his speech. The time for talk was running short; preparation with the leaders of the tribes would have to start soon.
"Oba will not attack until winter. There is still time to prepare. They will come through this area in a sweep from Jauhar eastwards. The've been quietly gathering intelligence for years and when the time comes, I will be there to stand against the King and all those who oppose peace."
He laid a large hand on Freya's shoulder and nodded to the rest of the leaders who had gathered.
Yansa stepped forward from there, taking over for Besian. A familiar voice to the crowd and one respected by most, if not all, there. "I believe the time for play has ended. I would suggest all of you prepare yourselves for the time to come. We shall do the same. All those who are willing to help the cause will be briefed after a meeting between all of the races' leaders is held." She tightened her grip on her spear and nodded her head to the others behind her. "For now... go home, and go about your normal lives."
It would be hard to do, to 'go about their normal lives' with the thought of war looming over their heads. But there were practical things to get done; people to feed, babies to take care of, homes to clean. Things that would ease the minds of those in the time to come. Some semblance of normal living before the storm.
The leaders who had gathered there in the arena now exited; waiting until they had reached a closed tent to continue their talk of plans for what was to come. The others in the stands took the opportunity to do exactly as Yansa had said: go home. The stands cleared out fast; the fairgrounds still held some lingering bodies, not quite sure what to do with themselves, waiting for friends to meet up, buying last minute weapons and armor.
