Horatio yowled when her tail got nommed on, and she hissed, "My tail is not food. NOT FOOD!" She weakly tried to free her precious appendage while complaining to anyone who would listen, "Heeeey, she's being a meanie! Doesn't someone want to help a little kitty in distress? I'll be your best friend if you do!"
In the mean time? Turn about was fair play, and if you couldn't beat them, you joined them! The smaller cat chomped down on her opponent's tail as well. Sort of like a Chinese finger trap, but with teeth and tails intead of paper and fingers! ==

Whenever Chaldene confessed his woes, Pasiphae's face immediately fell. She did not like the thought of him being at the carnival AT ALL, given what she had experienced herself there. His speech also implied that he was having trouble with the negaverse. Guilt consumed her. She should have called him sooner. She should have kept a closer eye on him. He was depending on her to teach him, even though she wasn't that good of a teacher. Well... well, she wouldn't let him down again!
"Well... after this is all over, I can introduce you to Valhalla and Ganymede? They're my friends and both here... but one thing at a time, right?" She planted her feet and brought her arms into a defensive position, welcoming his strike. "Here. You go first."

It's been a long ... 2hrs! And midnight has come and gone. It seems maybe both teams are getting a little tired. What a test of endurance and stamina this has been for everyone! As energy levels sag, so does the HP.
Taking a small suggestion since everyone seems to be enjoying themselves and in the interest of having a winner before ending. heart ILU GUYS! So close to the end guys! You can do it!
Deneb wasn't particularly fond of guardian cats, not ever since her awakening had been done by Pippin, who had wanted to talk and talk and talk, but the sooner this was done with, the sooner she could go home, the better. So when senshi of bubbles heard Horatio's complaints, Deneb made her way over to the two cats...
... only to stop and stare.
"...And what exactly do you want me to do?" Deneb inquired, raising an eyebrow at the little cat.
She wasn't about to step in-between these two cats and get clawed, not if they were going on like that. Of course, Deneb wasn't really interested in talking to either of the cats, but you do what you gotta do.
He didn't want her to feel guilt, far from it in fact, he wanted her to know he'd survived that incident though and had seen something! That he had, while not experience, but he had knowledge first hand on the other sides ruthlessness? Maybe he was looking for her to have some pride in him for making it out alive and doing well, even though he hadn't faced an officer?
"I really don't know how you do it, not running away from people like that Captain I saw you fighting." That night with several officers. "All I wanted to do was run when she ran into me, even if it would have been pointless." Since running really wouldn't have worked, and he knew that, he'd stood his ground not out of being brave but because it had been the only option.
"There here?" He asked glancing about, as if they might materalize out of no where with flashing signs over their heads, so he could best see who they were. But no such people showed up, nor in such manner. So he settled for nodding his head even as Pasiphae welcomed whatever attack he may have in mind for her. Sighing, he really wasn't a fighter and didn't want to hurt her, he moved in toward her with a fist aimed for her mid section.
Maia turned startled out of he revelry as she watched the other's pairing off and doing the training tango.This session had been interesting. She had seen some great team work as well as some really great combat and more eagerness than she had seen before.
She looked to Delphi and gave a small laugh, "yeah sorry about that. The kitty gave me a bit of a scare. We can spare if you like though. I won't go easy on you though. So keep on your toes."
She moved to take a stance and grinned before dropping down and swinging a leg out to knock Delphi off her feet. She decided she'd make her point known before she was forced too. It was like that in a lot of training sessions. The trainee was usually reluctant and Maia had to push the issue to get them too really respond.
Shang moved across the room spotting a girl in a floral fuku (Aster). She was on floor (?) so Shang went over to the girl who was on the red team and extended a hand to her to help her up. He gave a smile that actual reached his dual colored eyes.
"Want to spar a bit? You don't seem otherwise preoccupied," she said noting the guy (Sess) she was fight before had been engaged by the blonde venus knight.
The red head was usually more relunctant to fight a lady, but everyone else seemed other preoccupied and he was trying to take this whole training thing more seriously.

Lassell watched as the rest of the people paired off to spar, he looked around observing the spars and more or less fascinated by each person's fighting style. Speaking of which he needed to work on his fighting but everyone seemed to be preoccupied with others. He stretched and hoped this would end soon he could use a nap.
A smile spread across the orchid senshi's face as her idea seemed to be acceptable. Good. Sparing was meant to improve everyone's skills, but that didn't mean that it had to be painful or damaging. Improving control was as important as power. Undaunted by his unimpressed expression at her form, she bounced on her toes as she dodged his 'attacks', wincing whenever he managed to score on her.
"It wasn't so much what you were doing as it was that it reminded me of something I read. Counting coup was a show of skill you know... its easier to just rush in and lop someone's head off that to get in close and steal something or touch them and get back out without either of you getting hurt." She smiled as she poked at him, trying to avoid his long, slender arms as he reached for her in return.
"I'm... ah... not very good at dancing." She said as he began to work in a rthym, his attacks becoming more predictable as they fell in line with whatever it was he was singing. It wasn't really something she recognized, but she was happy to humor him as she began to sing softly in counterpoint. If there was anything you learned by being in the chorus line, it was how to harmonize with the soloist.
At least he seemed to be engaged and maybe even enjoying the little spar, which was the point to this whole exercise.
"It's ok, but if you've got time now it would be good." She didn't think, for a moment, that the green and white bedecked eternal senshi would be easy on her, in fact she almost hoped she wasn't. She had to learn and had to get stronger. So she didn't need someone to go too easy on her, she'd manage with getting her a** kicked - she had to.
She wasn't expecting to have her legs swept out from under her, landing on her butt, she stared up at the other before getting up and pouncing to the other, swinging a fist as she pounced the eternal senshi.
“It’d be an easy win for me then!” Ganymede joked upon hearing that Ida was not a very good dancer.
He hadn’t really been expecting her to be, but then there were times when he ended up being surprised by people. There wasn’t anything about her that spoke of any skill in that area one way or the other. Which was fine, everyone had different skill sets, though he wouldn’t have been against following through with his suggestion if she’d been able to, if only to change things up or ease any of the remaining tension he might be feeling over combat scenarios.
Instead, he would simply have to satisfy himself with some more fingere fighting, no matter how foolish he might end up feeling in the process. He ducked to the left and made another jab at her shoulder. If he was becoming predictable he didn’t seem too concerned.
“I don’t believe anything, don’t trust anyone anymore... But I believe you when you say we’re never gonna fall... You sing pretty well, you know,” he said, happy that she could at least indulge him that far.
He usually developed pretty fond feelings when people indulged him.
“I’ve always wanted to sing some really obnoxious songs right in a Nega’s face,” he laughed, “but they’re usually too busy hurting other people or getting a bit too close with sharp, pointy objects, and then everything stops being fun. Actually, it’s never really fun at all unless we’re just doing stuff like this, and even then things have the habit of taking a sharp turn toward miserable.”
There was the typical Gallo exaggeration. Apparently that trait was prolific throughout the family tree. All of them good looking, but spoiled, whiny, and utterly helpless as well.
Except Sessrumnir easily caught her fist the second time, so there had to be some things he was good at. Then again, being helpless didn’t necessarily mean he was utterly useless, just dependent upon certain people in his life (mainly his mommy).
So busy filing her thoughts concerning her dislike for him, Palatine realized she hadn’t countered the “like” part of his statement yet, which seemed an important distinction to make even if it was really just childish.
“And I don’t like you,” she added. It came too late to matter, of course, even if it was true. She didn’t like him. She tolerated him. He had moments in which he seemed like a decent person she might be able to get along with, but mostly he was annoying as ********. Maybe if he laid off the smug comments and the needless (and pathetic) flirting she could tolerate being around him even more.
Palatine was very aware of the fact that she wasn’t being entirely fair to him, given that he’d spent a good deal of time getting her up to date on the situation that was the war and answering whatever questions she might have about it whenever they came up, so he likely wasn’t as awful as she often made him out to be, but she was defensive and prideful by nature and he had a habit of pushing her buttons. And he sort of reminded her of the young, cocky girl she used to be before her habit of being self-involved ruined one of the few good things she’d had as a young adult, which had her reacting with more bluster and bitterness than she likely would have had he been the more unassuming sort.
She struggled to pull her fist out of his grasp, and ignored his instructions for the sake of lashing out with her other hand when he didn’t immediately release her.
"It's been okay." Falias said and for the most part it had been - if you discounted the weird sunflower-wearing lady and the bratty kids.
"And I'd like that I think" he continued, nodding as Valhalla made the offer about sparring. "Although I wouldn't count myself as a particularly great fighter either." As Marlin he'd been in his fair share of scrapes and tussels - but those had been more playground stuff - no monsters involved.
"My so called weapon's not much help." Or at least Falias hadn't found any use for the mistletoe - it certainly hadn't been much good against the youma-things that he'd encountered to date.
Once he'd made up his mind on something Falias wasn't really one for hesitation, although he waited until Valhalla was ready by making his first attempt, swinging out for a hit to the other's side - although there was no real power to the move - or at least that was what he was aiming for.

"Why, are you looking to throw balls in my face too?" she spat back before even looking up. She had been lying on the ground, face down for most of the battle after getting pegged in the head by four different balls. She pushed her hair out of her face and looked up to find the guy offering her a hand was pretty cute. Ever the terrible flirt, but not one to let that stop her, Aster gave a polite smile back as she took his hand. "Well, you can if you want, but that should be somewhere private."
She was a classy girl, and remembered that she should introduce herself before, or at least shortly after, making these kinds of propositions. Pointing to her tits, and the label on them, she announced, "Name's Aster."
Shang frowned at the harsh retort her got, from her, but she seemed to change her mind when she looked up. When she smiled, his smile almost returned until she spoke further and what came out of her mouth made Shang go completely wide eyed and totally shocked the color of his whole face reddening a red shades.
His mind shut down for a brief second his eyes following her hand to the name tag on her breast, before going back to her face. He didn't say anything, as his mind picked back up double time. Did she just ... she didn't just ... what the hell?
To say he didn't know the appropriate response, was definitely an understatement. When he opened his mouth, nothing came out, so he sort of resorted to pointing to his name tag before giving a nervous laughing and backing up a step.
"So sparring, yes," he said when his mouth decided to actually work, "uh we should do that ... uh sparring that is!"
Maia was impressed that the page while caught of guard certainly did stay that was for long. Maia found herself being pounced upon and punched in the gut. She groaned at the impact, and quickly shuffles to the side before grabbing the pages arm and spinning her around to give her a quick elbow to the back.
She rubbed her got very briefly and prepared for a counter attack.
