(SUDDEN DEATH ROUND)

One step ...two steps, she would managed to land safely, but that third step...the girl would find herself ...literally up to her waist in trouble.

The move would be a mistake as she would miss and land squarely into the midst of the sands. The simple action of her missing would push her all the way to waist height in the muck, and the Trapinch that she had been near when she fell smiled once. Then it would duck completely into the ground and suction would bring her along for the ride as the girl would literally be dropped a good 5 feet through the sands to what seemed to be an underground cavern.

It was pure luck that she would find the only bit of solid ground down there as all around her ....there swirling pools of sands whirled. She was literally in the eye of the storm at that point, but, all wasn't lost. As the trapinch from above would drop down expecting a meal that wasn't meant to be. They would land like a pathway for her, because, beyond that swirling mass of sands ...there was land ...and upward slope that promise freedom ..somewhere.

But like it was before, she would have to jump on their bodies and heads to get there.

This was sudden death now, and she couldn't afford any mistakes.

((...do you have any ability to both read and comprehend? Note the mention of Round 1 being about the Earthquake lass, not the wave. The wave comes later...ok actually it comes now.))

Staring like a deer in the headlights at a wave which was still some distance away, crashing into the walls of the canyon, Nakano would be caught almost completely by the earthquake; it was a miracle the ground hadn't merely opened up and swallowed the girl whole. Instead a fissure would open under her foot, causing it to fall in abruptly, resulting in her toppling and twisting her ankle, when she freed herself she would trip on another opening, bashing her other leg against a large rock now jutting from the ground. When she thought she was safe, the shaking of the earth would cause her to slam back into her Skarmory, the metallic feathers of the bird cutting deep into her arm.

Then, and only then, would the wave actually arrive, but she wasn't without an escape. She was in a canyon still, not on some lonesome beach with nowhere to run to. She merely had to outrun the wave and scale the cliffside to safety. No small feat given her current physical condition!

">Oi, you scrubs really think ahm tha' dumb? Ah been takin it easy on ya, but if tha's how ya wanna play consider the kid gloves off! Time ta fry lil' %#@&!<" The Tyrogue barked even as he began feeling the Litwicks pain. What they'd accomplished had been slight, the table's still left easily turned, and the Fighting-Type had just the way to start playing hardball. A single blink, and his eyes would obtain the red sheen of Foresight.

For the first time in a great deal of time, Raven and Fable would actually find themselves with someone conflicting opinions. The young trainer would slowly stride over to the cliff, tilting his head upward as he scanned for handholds and considering the physical merits of attempting the climb. His Charmander on the other hand would let out a low, guttural growl, his eyes shifting from blue to red as his tail flame began to blaze; evidently he would be more then happy to show this Magby just what sort of 'bad flame' he could be.

Both trainer and Pokemon would look to the other, a perplexed looking filling their faces for an instant as they noted the position of the other. Utter silence, neither word nor even gesture would pass between the two before they nodded in unison. "We'll play your game" Raven stated both clearly, and cooly, his stoic demeanour remaining even in the face of such hostility.

The little Magby almost laugh at the direction the two took. The fire type challenged her, while, the stupid human tried to scale the cliff. She would flick her tail once as she looked at them, and then finally a decision. The middle ground in their opinion.

She would send a single claw into the earth as drew a line ...two ...one by where she would place her foot and the second ...where he would place his.

(Good ...so ya' wittle master don't wan ya hur'. Tough Torkoals)

She would stare as she flicks one claw over her face as if she was pushing back a string of hair.

(I wanna rough ya up, but since, ya choose the game and I get to pick one ...how about one that play to my strength and ya'h weakness. Since, ya'h trainer don't want ya hurt.

We are going to go with endurance here, and play a game of actually hitting each other. Though no using of paws, it's going to be head to head, so ya are going to have to strike me on my head, and I am going to strike ya on ya'h.

The one who passes out first lose. Sounds easy enough don't it?)

She declare as she goes over to the place, and wait for Fable to take his. She was more than ready to finish this all in one go. Afterall, she was much tough than some stupid Charmander.

Her kind is always stronger.

(This is a game that plays against defenses. We are both going to roll 1d10, with the dice you roll going against your opponent's defense.

For example, if you roll a 5, I have to subtract 5 from my defense.

If I roll 10, you have to subtract 10 from your defense. This continues, until the defense becomes zero. Then the winner is decided from that.)

The look the Magby would receive was one that screamed the belief the Magby had already struck her head quite a few times, as well as possibly having her egg take a tumble down a flight of stairs...or six. To say the least, intellectual opinion wasn't high. Still they'd agreed to play by her terms, and it was plenty clear they wouldn't shy away from some skull cracking. Tail flicking, Fable would take up his position, the heavily scarred Charmander starring straight into the eyes off his opponent before doing the inevitable and swinging his head forward.

The Magby would smile. She didn't care what her opponent said, this was still going to be a lot of fun for her ...as the Charmander started first. His head connecting with hers, as she saw a few stars, but, she was only getting started.

She was going to show this Charmander the definition for bad flame, and that was her ....with a capital M.

With that in mind, she would lean back a bit, and let her feet touch on that line hard ...as she felt a bit of push away in the sands as she would lean forward quickly and slam her head into the charmander with her full strength.

The tyrogue didn't fall for his talk, but allowed the attack to hit. Well, whichever it was, the attack hit. That was what mattered to Theo, their health were now evened. It's up to them now to keep their health, since the tyrogue was going to be serious. "You won't know until you do it" Theo replied with a shrug "it's down to do everything anything to win" more of his mask, his expression devoid of worry and instead carefree as if it didn't concern him.

"Midnight, fade out and dodge" Theo commanded as the tyrogue wasn't interested with conversation anymore. He saw the glowing red eyes and knew what it did. They had to dodge it.

[I missed read somehow ...sue me]

It was the fact that she was looking for a rush of water instead of the quake that took place that promise so many injuries ...as she tries to stand, but, all she would managed is to get loose of those jagged feathers that cut her before she feel back again.

Suzaku would be horrified with what happen.

"Absol luck."

She would assure her ...as the bird's eyes would go wide at the sight of the incoming wave. This time, she would try and get away from it ..., but she was too injured and weak. It probably would have easily have hit her ...if a certain bird hadn't reached over with her beak and nearly pulled her partner onto her back.

(I will protect you this time)

It would be suzaku running for their lives.

Momo fell through the ground and landed with a loud thud on the patch of sand. Uh...oh... This didn't look good. All around the Spinda girl could see the sands and various Trapinch just waiting to make her into a meal. Just great... The girl closed her eyes and once more began spinning. There was really no other way to do things!

It was like hopping over hot coals, she would bounce from one rock to another ....or in this case Trapinch as her spin would be perfect. She would land whole and untouched on the otherside ...she had survived the sudden death round as the Trapinch would look more than a bit miff at losing her.

Though one in particular would show her a bit of interest as she was allowed to continue onwards to the chosen area.

Interestingly enough it would be the shear absurdity of the boy's command which would actually cause it to succeed. Blinking the red from his eyes the Tyrogue's jaw would go slack, arms hanging limp at his sides for a brief moment before coming back up and slapping himself in the face. ">Ya kiddin' meh. Oi! Ya gawh %#@& fer brains!?<" He barked rather harshly, directing his words at Theo ">Ya don' bloody dodge Forsight, cause they're ain't notin TO dodge. It's like tryin to stop Amnesia by dodgin it. Just don't make sense<" The fighting-type continued to yell, being oddly helpful with the instruction and all despite his otherwise crude behaviour, and evident like for either of his opponent. His defence for the moment would be none existent, he was evidently far too distracted by this.

((I'll get my lawyers. I'm acquainted with a few.))

How the Skarmory managed to avoid the wall of water was something of a mystery, the water crashing into the ground at such an angle as to cut off the view of those watching from above. Had she managed to run fast enough to scale the cliff even with talons and only two legs, or had she merely managed to fly long enough to avoid being crashed by all that water? Either way as the water struck the earth it would seep into the fissures, disappearing as if the cracks were drains, and the next challenge would be upon them. Despite the weight of the Skarmory, both her and Nakano would be picked up like softballs as the tornado twisted and blew through the canyon, lifting them high into the sky and throwing them about like ragdolls. This time they weren't alone however, objects, and even other pokemon would fly passed them at dizzying speeds, clearly picked up by the winds at some earlier point in it's journey. This time it would be more a matter of avoiding what was IN the natural disaster rather then avoiding the disaster itself!

Fable would hardly blink as the Magby's head crashed into his. Not because it didn't hurt, the reptile visibly swayed for a second, but because those blue hues had already turned a bloody red. The Charmander had fallen away from the conscious world of pain, sadness, joy, and pride, only rage remained as his blood came to a boil. Leaning back, both the Fire-Type's feet would actually leave the ground as he began bending backward on his tail, rising slightly into the air. When he came back down, his feet touching the very edge of the line, it would be with the full force of his weight against the Magby's half-molten skull!

Raven on the other hand would watch on in silence...briefly wondering why he hadn't called out Genn for this contest once he heard of the rules. He'd agreed to play her game, but never was it specified that he had to use Fable for it. Surely a headbutt by a Steelix would have already ended this.
