Unfortunately, that did not end well - ChaosGallantmon retaliated by slamming his lance into the duo, sending them sprawling and knocking the wind out of them. "Love, not that I don't appreciate the effort... but what, exactly, made you think two humans trying to take down a Mega of all things with no assistance was a good idea?" Shadow wheezed out from where he laid on the ground.
Soon ChaosGallantmon sent one last blast of power at the other Mega, forcing the chicken-like being to flee, before turning to the two humans and the Digimon, getting into a fighting stance.

However, the duo merely sidestepped the attack before Magnamon shouted out, "Die, for the glory of the Purified! Magna Blast!" He and his companion attacked once more, this time focusing their attentions on Reptiledramon.

However, once they reached the throne room, TigerVespamon wasn't there - instead, Butterflymon was there to greet them. "Ah, hello there. Do come in, and please take my son out of your jacket; he's probably quite cramped in there - no matter how much he's probably enjoying himself," she requested, and while they couldn't see her mouth, she gave off the impression that she was smiling gently to the group. "Also, you can get rid of your boyfriend's blindfold; I don't allow anyone in here naked, since my husband is quite the pervert - a trait my son inherited."

( eek Huh... I did not know there were sexy pics of Dianamon like that... eek )

Interestingly enough, ChaosGallantmon actually hesitated a moment, a strange mix of lust and hazy confusion crossing his face before he shook his head to clear it and charged at her, though he actually seemed a bit hesitant about it, as opposed to a moment ago.

"Silence! Magna Blast!"
Leo immediately shoved Christa out of the way of the attack aimed for her, taking the blast himself; fortunately, it was only enough to knock him unconscious. Unfortunately, the blast distracted Reptiledramon just long enough for ExVeemon to knock him out, leaving it as Liollmon, Ginryumon, and Commandramon vs. Magnamon and ExVeemon.

Butterflymon nodded, laughing softly at FanBeemon's state. "Yes, I can understand that. Now, let me guess: you came here for the Crest of Love, correct?" she asked gently.
Jimmy, meanwhile, blushed happily at the kiss before immediately starting to glare at FanBeemon; it didn't even occur to him that it was a little ridiculous to be jealous over an oversized bee of all things.

(Touche... though it's more that I didn't know there were sexy pics for Dianamon in particular. Anyway, sorry I took so long to post this - writer's block.)

ChaosGallantmon easily blocked the attacks with his shield, though since his eyes were a bit glued to Dianamon's sexy figure, his attempted counterattack was extremely sloppy.
As Shadow watched the fight, he pursed his lips, and then noted idly to Sandra, "You know, I'm getting the distinct impression that ChaosGallantmon there isn't exactly interested in fighting Dianamon so much as he's interested in screwing her."

However, she wasn't quite quick enough; ExVeemon rushed at her, obviously intending to spear his horn through Christa's chest...
Only for Leo to suddenly snap awake, a vicious grin now adorning his face as he easily parried ExVeemon's attempt at Christa's life, followed by stabbing the knife into the dragonlike being's chest and using it to disembowel the being rather gruesomely.

Butterflymon sighed. "Unfortunately, it's not quite that simple. You see, while the Crest of Love is passed down from generation to generation... it is only given to the next recipient on the day of their wedding."
Jimmy blinked a moment before it clicked. "And FanBeemon is, by all accounts, engaged to someone he doesn't love in the least. Yeah, I can see how that might be a problem."

ChaosGallantmon's attack quickly began faltering, his weapons dropping from his hands as he began following Dianamon's every move. "I... uh... er..." the Mega stammered, his voice suddenly losing the self-confident, cold tone it had before and gaining a certain similarity to BlackGuilmon's voice... and then there was the slight bulge in the armor...
Shadow immediately guessed what was about to happen and lightly tugged on Sandra's arm. "I'm thinking this is the part where we give those two some alone time."

However, something was obviously a bit... off with Leo at the moment. The expression and stance, rather than being the cool, calm, confident stance he had before, was now that of a madman looking for someone to disembowel in a brutal and gruesome fashion. Leo grinned and rushed into battle, easily dodging the attempted Magna Blast and starting to go hand-to-hand with the Armor-level Digimon... and winning, mostly due to the fact that he seemed to be able to ignore all the injuries he was getting whereas Magnamon couldn't. "C'mon, is that all you got?" he asked tauntingly, grinning the sort of grin a predator gives his prey.

Butterflymon nodded. "I agree. However, the marriage contract will ally us to another hive in the forest, and unfortunately, we need that alliance, since the alternative is war... a war that we would lose rather badly. I sent FanBeemon away in the hopes that, if he was no longer there, the Dark Hive might change their terms for the alliance. However... they are a bit more patient than I expected, and have instead been waiting for FanBeemon to return."

Needless to say, ChaosGallantmon's interest in fighting quickly crumbled as he flipped them both over and began planting nibbles and kisses all over Dianamon's body, obviously becoming eager to have his way with her. (So we taking this one to PMs or no?)
Shadow smiled and leaned over to kiss Sandra. He would never admit it - not even on pain of death - but that little show of Dianamon's had turned him on, too, despite the fact that he loved Sandra.

Magnamon quickly took the opportunity to flee, and when Leo tried to get back up, Liollmon pounced on him, pinning him down. "Leo, calm down! What's wrong with you? You aren't normally this vicious!"
Leo just gave them a little grin. "Leo isn't home at the moment... but when the Lion's tucked away, Rat comes out of his hole to play." He grabbed his knife, and was about to stab Liollmon when -
"Atten-TION!"
Leo immediately snapped out of it, instinctively standing up despite Liollmon on his chest and going into a picture-perfect sample of the standard soldier-at-attention stance, eyes glazed over.
Commandramon nodded to himself. "Thought that might work."

Guardromon was obviously not happy with this arrangement. "Is there any way we can get him out of it?"
"Only if you know someone who's willing to challenge Arukenimon for the right to marry him," Butterflymon answered... only to pause as she noticed that Guardromon didn't seem to be meeting anyone's eyes.

Leo blinked as he came back to reality, then flinched slightly as the question registered, a hint of fear bordering on panic entering his eyes.
"No need for him to talk," Commandramon suddenly spoke up. "I think I know what's going on; I've seen this before in some of the D-Brigade recruits. Leo's got DID." He calmly gazed at Leo, his eyes seeming to pierce into the young man's soul. "Feel free to correct me at any point if I'm wrong. If I remember correctly, you mentioned before that you have military training, correct?" Commandramon then slowly walked up to the young man. "But it's more than just training, isn't it? You got in the army didn't you? Problem is, you specialize in knives, you're horrible with a gun... so they gave you a position more suited to your job." The way he said it indicated he'd heard stories like it at least a hundred times before.
Leo slowly nodded, then murmured quietly, "Torture and assassination." It sounded like it physically pained him to say it.
Commandramon nodded, stopping in front of him. "Sounds like the sort of job a knife-user with no gun skills would be given. Problem is, you weren't trained to handle the psychological trauma that sort of position would have, were you? So in order to help you keep your sanity, your mind split in two." He then glanced back at Christa. "Basically, your boyfriend here has two personalities - the original, Leo... and the one he's been trying to pretend doesn't exist, the one who specializes in torture, who we just saw."

(In case you couldn't keep up with the big, long explanation: Leo has DID due to his being assigned to the torture and assassination section of the army for a while, and the other personality's a psycho who Leo has been trying to keep locked away in his head for a while now. I honestly don't know if the army even has a torture and assassination section, but for the moment let's pretend it does.)

Needless to say, Jimmy was gawking in shock even as Guardromon gave Evelyn a sort of embarrassed glare.

Leo sighed. "No... I usually manage to keep him under control to the point where he only comes out if I'm forcibly knocked unconscious or if I'm in enough pain - in other words, if I pass out, you have a few seconds to restrain me before he comes out. On top of that, he only attacks people - or Digimon - that he considers a threat. Only problem is, as far as I can tell, he considers any even slightly violent movement toward him - such as any attempts to restrain him that would actually work - as a threat. Basically, you have to walk on eggshells around him," he muttered, obviously miserable about all this. He'd honestly thought his split personality had been gone for good - there had been no signs of it for years.
Needless to say, Guardromon stayed silent.

Shadow blinked, then similarly blanched as his girlfriend's words registered. "s**t... any chance today's a safe day for you?" he asked hopefully, though his gut was telling him that hope was in vain. Granted, it wasn't that he didn't like the idea of having kids with Sandra - he'd just imagined having them when they were a couple years older and actually married as opposed to just dating.

Leo blinked in surprise. "...Er, you mean he didn't immediately retaliate? Well, if he didn't immediately attack you, then you're probably safe."

Jimmy nodded in agreement with Evelyn's idea. "Sounds like a plan."
