The floats literally jolted to a halt, several of the measly Human workers confused, pausing for a second to look towards the source of the pause. Others continued dancing for a little longer before even the music stopped, and the lights around them, began to flicker. Even the electronic whirr of the machines, the floats began to slow and dull, the up-beat sound slowing.
"Look mommy, fireworks!"
A single Human scareling voice cried out, pointing ahead. Ahead, at what could have been mistaken as special effects, as the first of the floats seemed to be swallowed entirely by shadow, a mass of seething darkness that grew, billowed, curled higher and higher in a thick green -
- Several of the Human were still staring. Some took out strange square devices and began to cheer and point their square contraptions at the mass of smoke and fog -
- And the the Horsemen, the Initiates would hear it. They would feel it, as in what seemed like a second, the shadows lashed outwards, at all directions in perfect six points, crossing each other twice, three times until they formed a giant, circular sigil across the entire expanse, the entire Human-made park.
It was easy to mistake the first shouts as signs of excitement from the Humans, perhaps they thought this was a whole light show, perhaps they were excited to see something different. It was, however, unmistakeable for any creature of Halloween, any Horsemen, even any Initiate to feel the thick Fear that began to overwhelm, eating at any remaining Joy. It wasn't until the Humans began to visibly peel away from the epicenter, running all directions did their motives become clear. The Fear was beginning to overwhelm them. They were running in terror.
'Children.' And at long last, Medea's voice, strong, clear, steady. 'Reveal now your true selves. We strike, but not immediately, no, these Humans do not deserve true death. Show them instead your true potential as Horsemen, as Initiates, and strike Fear into their pathetic Human husks, squeeze them out of every last bit of Fear until none remains and they are but hollow shells, retainers which we will take back with us to the Clan to feed and harvest more Fear from, yes these Humans will serve as our food, our fuel supply, a path to our victory.' The spreading Fear was also finally, finally evoking in the Horsemen their purpose, and even those of Halloween. It felt like it had been too long since they tasted true Fear, since they basked in their power and euphoria and were in full control. At long last they were in their element, and those Humans served only as cattle for their purpose.
'Manifest your Fear, and herd the Humans into the center. We will have use for them soon, the artifact binding is almost complete. There is a greater purpose at hand, and we will need for it the most concentrated, purest of Fears..' It wasn't exactly science to know what Medea was talking about. To evoke an even greater Fear than now, well, the process would be far from pleasant. For now it seemed, Medea wanted to gather as many Humans as possible, into wherever the vortex in the center lead them to-
- And with the strong prevalence of Fear making them feel powerful, in complete control, after being humiliated for so long, after suffering the effects of Joy to a point where they almost felt obsolete, who in their right minds would have room to complain?

What Humans see:
It is finally time for Horsemen and Initiates to of course use their Fear, use who they are to strike more Fear and terror into the Human's hearts. - It seems there is something strange going on with the disguise pins, so instead of Horsemen appearing as terrifying horsemen or ponies or what have you, they instead appear to look like extremely nightmare fuel versions of their original Disney mascots to the Humans. To other Horsemen they look pretty standard... horsemen. Slightly visible through their mascot outfits, like staring into someone's skeleton insides.
You are now HERDING HUMANS into the portal at the center. The portal in the center can't be missed, originally it was spewing black smoke but it seems to have gone full-out crazy in green light that is almost too bright to look at, a pillar that rises to the clouds, bathing everything else in green. Shoving, tugging, pulling, grabbing, or ushering Humans anywhere close to it causes them to get sucked right in, though it does nothing for the Horsemen. Humans seem to be vaguely able to see the green light, though in the Humans's eyes, what they seem most is smoke and fog through the mass of confusion and panic.
- When you manifest your form you can scare a Human! Your goal is to scare as many Humans as you can and herd them into the portal. Once again your appearance to the Humans is the form of whatever your character mascot is but extremely demented and made 1000% of Nightmare Fuel. A little bit of your Horsemen appearance traits may also manifest.
- Roll a 100-sided dice and go ahead and respond to the prompts below. You are also to rp with the other Horsemen and Initiates to collaborate. Include your total Human Herding tally at the bottom of your post in OOC. There will be a prize for the person who herds the most Humans! (x1 pixel chibi of any character you wish! ) - You can roll 5 times max, but have unlimited RP tries. When you are on your final try post in bold red FINAL TALLY, the amount of Humans herded, and quote Zoobey!
1 - 20: - You manage to scare a whole group of Humans, who run the opposite direction from where you plan for them to go. You will need to QUOTE A HELPER (you can choose anyone) who can then quote you back and rp HERDING THE HORSEMEN TOWARDS YOU. That will send the whole group of Humans into the portal. You and the HELPER get + 5 Humans 21 - 40: A few Humans are too busy being scared of ANOTHER horsemen (the one who rolled in front of you) to pay you any attention... 41 - 60: A few Humans scream and start running like crazy. After much moving around and wrangling that you didn't even know you were capable of, considering how clumsy you feel with the disguise pin still on even with your Fear manifesting, you manage to pull one measly Human into the portal. 61- 80: A few Humans scatter roughly the direction of the portal. You must continue to manipulate them with your Fear (however you see fit with your appearance as some terrifying mascot...) to throw them into the portal. Maybe you should say some evil catch phrases or something.... You get two Humans into the portal. 81 - 100: Two Humans are instead, running towards you. One of them pulls out a bag of salt, yes, salt, and throws it at you while the other shoots salt at you with their shotgun. It does nothing... but they don't seem terrified either. They keep on screaming about something about demons, which is kind of annoying since you are Horsemen....mostly. And what was it with angels, angels don't exist. +0 Humans.
Kiwi felt it almost instantly. The sudden rush of FEAR through the crowd was as opposite the JOY-filled area as day from night. He could feel the fresh FEAR surging through him, and after so long spent idle about the clan reserve, he only wanted more.
Several humans were coming this way, screaming as they ran towards smoke and chaos. Kiwi tossed his mask aside and reared, leering at them as his arms waved.
Two of the humans, would wonder just why Eeyore had suddenly lost his head ... and sprouted wings, as they ran shrieking into the abyss.

And this, Mengyao thought, as the sky darkened, this was much more preferable than the mundane aspects of singing and dancing in order to entertain a group of mindless humans who were no better than the mud beneath his feet. And though his feelings towards their priestess only went so far, Mengyao was not about to hesitate in this one part of their instructions.
Now if only he was out of this ridiculous ensemble, everything would almost be normal.
The first few humans he attempted to send towards the portal were vastly occupied by the appearance of a previous horseman, which made Mengyao scowl. He ground his teeth together and moved on.

The second attempt was marginally better than the first, though Mengyao felt ill prepared and relatively shameful in his moving around. He was a Horseman of Conquest who dressed in the finest robes, yet he could hardly move in this travesty of a costume.

The third attempt was even better than the first. Mengyao lurched towards them, feeling clumsy in his "uniform," but the humans were malleable, easily tamed, and it was with a certain amount of pride that he gave a low, rumbling growl, sending tremors of fear throughout their eyes, several of them darting unknowingly towards the portal.

It wasn't that Shik wasn't around when the dancing and singing began, it was because he was the worst princess ever.and also papers suck. He had been not so patiently baring his teeth in a "smile" at the human grubs and letting them tug him into this...thing's apparently famous dancing, completely ignoring jibes and comments thrown his way from other horsemen; he couldn't hear them over the sound of his dignity screaming.
Thankfully with a rumble and a rush of screams, Medea made her entrance. The artifact bits only interested him for a moment - he was rather more interested in the fact that he could finally start terrorizing. It might not be the wanton killing Shik wanted, but it was a start.
With a feral growl, the would-be beauty turned on his now wide-eyed admirers and let his new claws begin to scrape and force into the portal, chasing the few with a howling laugh as someone called him "Beast."
The fourth attempt was less than successful. Mengyao let out a growl of frustration.
"You there - " he seized the nearest figure, Kiwi, it seemed. " - send those back towards me."

Ying stared at the black mass with awe and excitement as it filled the air. As the shadows lashed out, Ying clapped in excitement. She no longer wished to wear her suit, instead happily throwing off the head and carrying it under her arm. The result, for the humans, was a decapitated nightmare pluto.
"Kiwi, friend, please help me as well!" she shouted, feeling rather distraught at the sea of people. "Please!"
Aymet was a little too busy trying to disentangle himself from the unnecessary pieces of his gold automoton costume to be of much use. A horseman swooped by to strike fear into the humans before he had a chance.
There, that was much better. The less of the costume he was stuck in, the better he could move in the armor he already wore. A few humans began screaming at his distorted appearance, and ran. One wasn't so lucky - too slow, or maybe Aymet was too fast. He grabbed them by the arm and pulled them toward the glowing green portal with a maniac grin.
"SHIKOBA!" Thera's voice boomed out, standing tall and proud as any war horseman could while dressed as a princess while standing on top of a float. "Is that the best you can do? I would have thought you more skilled! Come now, show me your ferocity! I want to see you herding more to the portals!"
Flying down from the float to try and herd her own humans, the horsewoman let out a startled cry as she was pelted with salt. "You little roaches! How dare you- AUGH." Salt got into her mouth.
"SHIKOBA- DON'T LET THEM GET THE ******** SALT." She kept spitting trying to rid the taste from her mouth. "They're... Well these ones are defective. They also seem to have no idea about just what they're dealing with." She hissed. She was a trainer, not a herder. Unless you counted herding fillies and colts to the training field. She'd done that a lot.

Mort had done his best to entertain the very talented-at-making-sound-effect-noises kids, but eventually the noise and energy of them just drained him. He picked pink for you, Bells.
But now it was show time and . . . Jackdamn it. Mort stood stock still as the humans began to run, rooted to the place in indecision. they weren't outright murdering humans yet, but . . . this was close to. And he knew what happened the last time he had done a murdering spree. Sick to his stomach, He turned his head at a noise just in time to see a pair of males yelling at him with
- a shotgun.
The bullets passed through him with a yelp, and the zomboil staggered very unfrighteningly away, watching as Shaheen got shot too. What the ever living hell?!
She had been hustled back up on to her float, but Shaheen was so done. She didn't feel like dancing anymore, having upstaged the one that she had been dancing with on the street below, and simply crossed her arms over her chest and tapped one over sized foot impatiently while she waited for something to happen.
Thankfully she hadn't needed to wait long.
The parade came to a halt, the sky darkened, and Shaheen's lips curled up into a cruel smile behind her mask. It mattered not to her what the humans could see, what mattered to her now was that it was finally time.
She launched herself off of her float with a growl, whirling towards the nearest humans and running towards them, arms raised.
...And they turned from where they had just shot at Mort and shot at her as well. With salt. Then shouted something about Demons.
Fear. Glorious Fear. And this was why he listened to Medea's instructions. Seething with the need to go on, to leap into the fray he let go, relaxing as he let his true form come forth, twisting away from the seat. Now he seemed large, too large for the body he was supposed to be in, tail seeming to split into creepy tentacles rather than a single mermaid tail.
With a few shrieks humans began to run, one child tearfully shrieking to their mother, asking why Ariel was Ursula now and crying that she didn't want to be a princess anymore. Soren let the tentacles do their job, flinging two humans into the portal with a low chuckle.
